  16. a gnarly grind i have koxx browns on a very harsh grind ages ago and it was lush. now-a-days i like cnc heatsink red on a light / medium grind ,these pads have a very good range of performance, they have work very well from harsh grind down to dead grinds.there has been one thing with heatsink that has confused me ,i have had three pairs and run them on identicla grinds across several rims but i found that one of the pair wheren't as good as the others has anyone else had this problem?
  17. you still going to sell me your alex rim mate?when you get your try-all like?
  18. in my experiance revell and 24bicycle rims are fairly strong, both have eyeletted spoke holes wich add to the strenght of the wheel build.at the moment im running a undrilled ronnie rear rim,its 38mm wide and seems to be dtrong as feck, yes its a heavy rim(heavier than a echo 07) but its been fine and hasnt buckled atall in over a months worth of riding by the most unsmooth trials rider in the world.the ronnie rim also grind well i can only comment on maggies as i have never used a dengura, but i would say maggies are fine aslong as you keep a eye on them and upgrade a few parts,e.g pads, tpa and lever pin(like attach a bolt to it ) hope i have helped, steve
  19. i removed some tread from my maxxis hansventre as the tyre seemed to me a dog poo magnet ,once i had removed some of the tread it wasnt.i've also removed everyother block from the side tread on my front highroller. maybe christrial-arg has taken too much tread of ,but surely he is only experiamenting and theres nowt wrong in that. steve
  20. im doing arboriculture (tree surgery) and forestry ,and its pretty cool. we climb trees with ropes and harnesses (some tree's 80ft plus) ,use chainsaws both on the ground and in trees, planting ,pruning and all sorts of tree related stuff.my coarse is the national diploma and its a 2year coarse but there are shorter coarses.this last year i have done 1 day practical and 2days theory, but the two theory days have only been 3hours long like. if you want more info just message me on msn mate steve
