  1. i run trouser clips to advoid this problem,as my jeans got caught once and the freewheel wrench my foot of my pedals wheni was riding down a hill ,not good
  2. i phoned up tarty and asked about this bb to be run with a eno and i got told that i could run a bashring
  3. what moves where you struggling to lift the front end up for?bunnyhops ,manuals etc? these moves arent the easyiest thing to lift the front end for, this is due to the bb hieght being higher than the wheel axles .plus the majority of trials bikes arent made to revolve around these street moves. maybe if youy tilt your bars back a bit this may just help you or put a spacer or two under the stem. steve
  4. they are good bb's but there are some clearence issues with some ffw's .i was going to get one but i would of had to run no bashring so i got a echo internal instead, wich by the way is really nice steve
  5. i like the look of it,i personally would like it if the cog nearest the sprocket was further away so the the tensioner bodie could go flush against the frame . how cool would it bee if you could get different colour tensioner cogs hmmmm red
  6. if were not going to ride brum then we need to get this topic closed and a new one opened or something. steve

  10. i cant really compare the two brakes as i have never had a hope mono trials ,but i personally love my bb7,its powerfull (well powerfull enough to render a pair of fork destroyed in some circumstance),cheap and weighs as much as a hope trials(i think) ;if you were to search trials forum you'll see hundreds of riders that use or reccomend this brake.riders such as neil tunnicliffe have used this brake ,so if its good enough for him then its a good brake i would say. the lever feel can be vairied as the brake pads can be moved in and out from the disc ,the lever can be fin tuned to give different bite points, cables can be changed from thin ones/fat ones and outer cables come in different types.all these can change the feel of the brake .my personal brake has lots of modulation and has a fairly light lever action.so yeah, you can get a very individual feel to the lever . i havent had any problems with my cable, even if it did stretch then its just a case of trurning the barrel adjuster thing to take up the slack.my personal setup is a bb7 203mm rotor ,sd7 lever and gore inner and outer cables. steve
  11. the thing with doing a 180 is that you have to be really really accurate when your on a thin wall ,but yeah the do look cool
  12. get some fertiliser and write a big ass rude word on some grass on the sports field or lawn out side the principles office

  14. 2nd,the hold isnt amazing but good pads none the less. steve
  15. what brake levers ,arm etc do you run?
  16. bike hut brakes are mint, owens front brake is well good, but i dont know how it would perform if he got a proper bike though. have you considered a avid bb7?its a cable brake but dont let that put you of,its as good as a hope trials brake i reckon, plus a 203mm brake will cost £50 ,but this doesnt include levers or hose though. steve
  17. keep practicing and you'll get better soon .as for 180s ,turn your head and then your shoulders as you hop and the rest will follow. steve

  19. side hops are so last year lol ,good effort mate steve
  20. grinding and cutting discs vary a fair bit ,usually the better quality the disc the better the result.i personally use a diamond cutting disc, and that gives me a fairly knarly grind
  21. im no expert but here i go,generally front brakes are more powerful than rear brakes ,hence why people fly over handlebars when they pull their front brake. the larger the rotor the more leverage there is to stop the wheel from moving ,so to make the back brake more powerfull some trials riders will use larger rotors to increase the leverage that the brake has. large rear rotors aren't used in all mountion biking disciplines as the rear brake isnt generally required to stop the rider on its own. hope that kinda makes sence, steve
  22. i hope you dont plan on selling in nmc ,as you'll get sum stick mate.pictures would be helpful too. steve
