  5. i reccomend a simtra frame,it just rides so well. the wheelbase is inbetween short and long, has a nice headtube angle ,the bb hieght is really comfatable(sp) and they are on sale at trartybikes.. steve p.s heres one i prepared earlier
  6. i rode one for a fair while, was all good untill it skipped a few times, but it turned out it just needed to be cleaned out a little.it runs lush now i have it as a back-up freewheel as i got a eno on the steed now. steve
  7. or even a echo control, toxsin or simtra, all these have relatively low bb's . steve
  8. i am yeah man, will be sometime just gotta get work and the bike sorted.

  9. maybe making new members read the guidelines then make them take a test before they they can post,so theres no more buy amd selling topics.this was brought up ages ago by another forum member, not me like but i like the idea. steve
  10. yeah it is ,i find it gives a better grind than a metal cutter, but that might be because i've used craps disc before. steve
  11. looks a bit nice don't it,bet that cost a arm and a leg. steve
  12. i also counted my trials parts recipts recently and i had done £1000+ i about a year . does the tarty sign up thingy show phone orders too? steve
  13. exactly the same as what i get, same place and everything, first got it about 6weeks ago and still got it now,its died down a little now.hmm strange steve
  14. interesting topic, i run a dh/freeride rim on the front, its a sun ringle single wide. pros: strong ,just as heavy as a try-all rim, eyeletted and cool graphics. cons:not as wide as i would like . cheers, steve
  15. is this refering too me saying about a 2/3 speed stock freehub? if so how has chris king patented a 3speed freehub so that no-one copies that idea when tons of companys all use simular 8/9 speed freehubs?surely someone patented them. steve
  16. cheers ozzy,i'll be over later
  17. pretty well actually ,i really feel comfortable on the bike its just awesome. i got a no spacers ,a flat bar (simtra mcdonnalds one or sumit) cut down by about 12mm either side and a stem that came with my sarecen mad,the stem is pretty good mind ,the bottom of the bars in the clamp measure at about 89cm of the floor best info i can give on the stem as i dont know the geomentry of it lol. hows your steed riding then?is the rear end really stiff on your bike? im not having any problems backwheeling mine, maybe it could be you stem and bar combo? cheers, steve
  18. put the crank in a freezer then poor boiling water over the threads moments before you try undoing the freewheel, works all the time with me. steve
  19. my headset bearings went like that once,i had to borrow some bearings of a mate, that was 5years ago lol . pigs are good headsets, though if you got the money invest in a proper good one like a hope, tensile or king. steve
  20. that would be mint, personally i'd like to see a design where it can run 2 or 3 sprockets ,kinda like a chrisking singlespeed.in 135mm spacing of coarse. steve
  21. looks mint mate, hope she rides well . steve
  22. i highly recomend heatsink red in cnc'ed backing best pads i have used ,i also reckon koxx browns are amazing, you just need a harsh grind for them . steve
