Couldn't some clever person put together a simple list showing frames and what tyres fit them and what needs to be done to make them fit? Kinda like: Echo Lite 2011 | Continental Rubber Queen 2.4* * Requres yoke grinding. ** Requires half link.

There's some good instructional videos on Youtube, often seeing some one do it can teach a lot more than loads of writen explanations. If you go searching for videos, don't worry about it being specifically a bike they are spraying, the basics still apply.

Does any one know what Shetland is like for trials? I'm off to work there on monday for 5-6 weeks and I'd like to take my bike. The freewheel is playing up so any big kicks are out of the question. I'd like to know if the place is good for easy hoppy about stuff. Don't want to take the bike and find it's all massive stuff I can't ride. (not that I can ride massive anyway!)

Haha, nah used it all up on the rally car Correct. Hence the 'Dropout fail imminent.' by Mark earlier. It might well work, but, we will just have to see.

Do you take the scales to the bike or the bike to the scales?

Mine did the same untill I secured it with a Jubilee clip. Might not work on all frames and suppose it depends on how much chain slack you have. Basically I put the Jubilee clip around the end of the chain stay to secure the stainless arm of the tensioner in place. Just so happened on my setup that part lined up with the chain stay. I would take a picture but I've gone back to using cheapo rear mechs

Thanks mate, the bit Im strugling the most with is going side ways. I could go straight up, but I can't seem to go parallel. I see what you're saying, I just wanted to portray the 'keep going when you fall off'. Yeah, wheels are an issue, but so is money! Thanks man. Ive had Trials bikes for a while but not really used them as I have no one to ride with and it's hard to keep going when you can't do much and have no one to turn to. There's only so long you can keep at it on your own and when you don't progress it just gets frustrating. I'd say if you added up all the actual days I have spent on the bike trying to ride trials it would be maybe a few months. I had not touched the bike for atleast 18 months before this weekend. And then it was maybe only for a few days. I love trials but I cant seem to keep at it, its like there is something missing. That's why I thought I'd do this video a bit differently to try and get something going that I can take back to my riding. I dunno, maybe Im on the wrong road. Thanks for your comment though man

Well from what I have learned, his own frames did have different geo to the production ones which were more 'general'. The fade to whites weren't a production colour (and I think there were only a few) but at least one has passed through ebay. You could have a DCD air brushed, thats if you can find a DCD these days! Oh yeah dont forget the CRUD guard! All this talk makes me want to build one of the Hawziees back up!

Ok so I really don't why I bothered since I can barely track stand yet but here is a video of my afternoon. In the first part the line is a 180 front pivot off a pallet onto a breeze block then a 180 on the rear wheel off the block. There were many fails but eventually I got there. The second part is my first tries at side hopping. I feel so pathetic not being able to side hop up one pallet!
