  1. Holy shit, not another polished frame. That was played out months ago. Another couple of colours to add: Desert storm green Baby blue
  2. Get your wall, and a stick/leaf/dead mammal. Lay the stick on the ground at your usual run up point. Backwheel the wall and see what happens. Move the stick towards the wall, try it and see what happens. Play around with your pedal position (what angle your cranks are at when you start your run up) and run up distance. have a go with different things. And practise! ALso, using txt talk means you can't backwheel very high.
  3. Metal flake candy apple red. What happened to the custom frame?
  4. New Liteguys have a thicker steerer apparently, pretty much eliminating snappage. I have some KOT forks, they seem pretty good. Or wait and get the newer Echo range with the bigger disk mount weld. Or get some Onza Smartguys. Don't skimp on forks, or you will mostly die.
  5. I voted yes. Haha, i love this thread by the way.
  6. Not to sound like a 'tard, but the dude riding that could be a beast of a man doing some serious road riding, with legs the size of tree trunks practising his starts on a track bike...
  7. Again, i don't know why they had to make the stays a mile long - would sell better and probably be cheaper for them to manufacture. Other than that, looks Ok-ish, but as has been said, it woulda been better to copy a well-known frame's geometry, sold it for peanuts and made a fortune.
  8. I thought Hone's had 36 Engagements? Or is that just the Saint... Hmm.
  9. Jesus, Get your English sorted, boy! Booster wise, If you're running 4 bolts then an RB or Echo Control/Team booster will do you well. For 2 bolts, a SHimano XTR if you can get hold of one, if not just use the standard Magura one, or get a Salsa if using V's. And yes, i reccomend a booster :)
  10. Petr Kraus could school everyone in this topic. On the frame, they're liable to be rather expensive. It looks 75401 times better built up as a DJ bike than a trials bike. What are you gonna use it for? If you're just gonna use it as a street trials bike, get a Curtis or a Leeson (when they're back up and running). If you want it as a street bike for going fast and bunnyhopping stuff, get a DJ frame such as an Azonic, a 24/7, a Static etc.
  11. "Respect to the man in the ice cream van" - Scooter.
  12. Makes sense, thats how i run mine :( Think about the body position when you use your brakes (rear brake over the rear, front brake over the front, usually) it makes it more natural :P Not that you didn't know that but yeh...
  13. My Avid feels nicer than any Hope i've felt. Hopes have a nice amount of power, but an on/off feel. I say go for the Avid, but it's not like you can go far wrong with a Mono Trials...
  14. I'd go for the DMR, i plain hate Deores on the rear, and the GT/Hadley hubs seem to like destroying it's self. One note - It's personal preference but on those kinda bikes I'd reccomend gears, (unless you chose your gearing very carefully) as otherwise it just gets a pain in the arse... Good choice of rims BTW (Y)
  15. The Pixies - Ed is dead. Oop, now Elbow - One thing (Anne Marie or wtf her name is cover)
  16. Chai had one for a while, til the rear end decided to snap in 2 :-
  17. Hmm... On one level i agree with you, in that i rode Morzine/Les Gets/Avoriaz on my HT Azonic with 130mm travel up front, and i managed to spend the whole 2 weeks without any major crashes. HOWEVER: I can guarentee i would be faster/happier on a full suspension. The braking bumps on the DH/World Cup/Dual courses are insane - Worse than i have seen on any European course, let alone any UK course. Whether you go full sus or HT, one piece of advice i can give is: GET A CHAIN DEVICE! My holiday would have been 10 times better with one. Get some decent tyres too. And make sure your disks (don't even bother going with anything else!) are working in tip top condition. Bring as many spares with you as possible. I snapped a SNAFU pedal axle, snapped a pair of cranks and raped a tyre, all in the space of 2 weeks. I've not snapped anything on that bike since, or before Morzine! Anyways, enough ramblings. Have fun.
  18. If this is for the front of a trials bike, i'd say get either an Avid BB7/Juicy 7, or a Hope Mono Trials. If it's for a DH/FR bike then go Hope Ti 6's.
  19. I hear they'll both be ready at the same time, and will be released at midnight of the 31st of September. Possibly....

Woodman also sell V adaptors, as well as Bonz. Get advice from Felix, he's a top bloke and knows his stuff when it comes to V's :)
  21. Spray your bike an original colour first. Silver was played out months ago.
