if simps idea fails.... boil the pads and rotor ( seperately ) scrub with a green brillo type spongey thing and a dab of washing up liquid...rinse and dry throughly re-bed in and it should have improved

4 options in my opinion....front vee: cheap, insane power with a grind, barely any modulation.... avid bb7: loads of power good modulation, fairly expensive ( 2nd hand about £30 for a full setup) hop mono trial: expensive, bags of power and modulation;front magura: cheap, easy loads of bits, nooo modulation well, thats personal opinion ^^ but id say go for rear magura...and a bb7, was pleasanlty suprised by mine, loads of power and i can stoppie it really well
