Nice stuff I wish I was that good at 15, I wish I was that good now lol Do take it easy on the drop gaps though
  2. Lol I've probably got you confused with someone else Think I found the video on the same page that one of yours was on so presumed it was the same person, oh well!
  3. Nice one Bloody weather better hold out now *touches everything wooden in the house*
  4. With an el gato on the front also it'd look very nice. First justice I've liked the look of to be honest I still hate those seat things though
  5. Hey all, anyone fancy going for a ride next Sunday around the Leeds area? In truth I've only just got back into trials so would appreciate it if someone who comes along could point out the good places to ride I haven't been out on a proper ride in aaggeeess so I'm sketchy but want to get back in the saddle (or not as the case may be) I understand some of you went out on one yesterday? With the 27th Dec ride also some people might not want to make it, but try Thanks
  6. Hey I found your videos from another trials forum, random question but on the (hilarious) bails video, it looks like you're doing a gap at a Church somewhere, this place looks EXACTLY like Huddersfield (where my home is) have you ridden there? Or is this just a weird coincidence? Thanks
  7. Really sorry to hear that bud How on earth did the tramp manage to sneak away with your bag though?
  8. I suggested it because a vast majority of people in this topic are stating being asked 'Where is your seat?' as one of the things they hate most about riding trials.
  9. My main interest is music, I'm a guitarist, bassist and keyboardist. I teach guitar privately, am currently at Music Uni and am In a band. (If you're a rock singer/bassist from West Yorkshire and want to be in a rock band PM me! )
  10. Woah now THOSE are risers! Nice looking bike, Pashleys rule.
  11. Just had a thought; the ultimate trials t-shirt should read: (Front) "No, I don't have a seat" (Back) "So don't ask me where it's gone" Or something
  12. lol Yes it was Rav, didn't quite know what to make of it really. Oh well. The frames look nice anyway! Thanks very much for the help guys, definately going to go for a control, I must have sent out 5 PMs today from various for sale ads to see if people are still selling their controls I wish I'd done a bit more research before I bought my DMR, still got quite a good buy on it but the price i'm gonna pay for a control frame is about 4/5ths of what I paid for this entire bike!
  13. I'll be using some Fatty Rs on it if that makes a difference? One thing that does annoy me about my Sidekick and that i've never experienced before is when I pivot on the front wheel my foot usually hits the front tyre (I don't have big feet or have my foot too far forward on the pedals). I don't have big feet either! This is annoying as I love doing the old front wheel 360 pivoty drop thingys (I'm sure there's a more technical name for them lol) I'm not too sure on the wheelbase of the sidekick but could compare them I suppose.
  14. Aye seems like all signs point to a Control. Think I'll hunt around for a second hand '06 if possible, I'd like to get the '07 but I'm really not too fussed. One thing I do need some help with is deciding on a short/long frame. What are the general positives and negatives about either option (the noob is strong in this one!). Also, I currently have a hope bulb and an 8 speed cassette on my DMR, will this be alright with the Control? Thanks again.
  15. I've had a mysterious PM out of the blue about various BT Ravens The Raven06 to be specific.. Does anyone have any experience with these? I've done a forum search but most of the threads are a few months old and I can't find many opinions on their general feel/strength.
  16. How about some pictures of you riding the mother?
  17. Sweet video, I absolutely love the guy with the black bike who keeps bailing Haven't laughed so hard all week.
  18. My my that's rather nice, sweet paint job Aye select bikes don't have the Pure on the site, and what's this about Vs being better than Maggys? Surely not? Think it's gonna have to be the Control. Are the '07s worth it over the '06s? Keep in mind I'm used to riding 'old school' type frames (had a Club Roost stinger before this DMR) so probably wouldn't notice too many subtle differences in Geo until I'm back into riding.. Cheers for the advice guys.
  19. Pants, wish it was Sunday or else I'd show my ugly mug I work Saturdays
  20. Hmm upon doing a forum search (which I should have done first really ) quite a lot of peeps seem to knock the Adamant A2/A1 frames, the A2 because of it's material and both of them because of their high BB? Oh how my knowledge grows rofl. I think the Echo frames are the daddy atm, Control or Pure (which you can't get from tarty with the HS33 mounts anymore ) are my choices atm.
  21. Hey guys, I've just got back into trialsing again after about 3/4 years out. Bought a bike with a decent enough spec for me. It has a DMR Sidekick frame (oh noes! cries of 'Old School!' I hear!) Which is great for the moment (I'm pretty much just riding to Uni and back) although I'd like to get back into riding properly, providing I find some guys around the Leeds area to ride with (hint hint) anyway. I have absolutely no idea what's hot and what's not in terms of frames at the moment, I see a lot of people rave about the Echo Control frames, and I really think these look swish, although I really like the look of the Adamant A1 and A2 frames (how come the A2 is only £179 yet the A1 is £299? is there really that big a difference?) I'm quite a heavy rider (13 Stone!) and obviously don't exactly have perfect technique at the moment, I'm not into doing big drops and the like (prefer more technical riding as that's what always interested me). I'd also like some advice on the whole short/long frame choice, from my reading here I understand shorter frames are more flickable but longer frames are easier to get up stuff with (i.e tap with)? I'm about 5'9 in height if that makes any difference. So anyway, mainly I'm after some advice on a frame, so suggest away Cheers chaps.
  22. Ahh the Echo Controls are so gorgeous. Got any more pics of the bike? I'm considering swapping my Sidekick ('old school' ) frame for one, I can see that being quite a change to what I'm used to
