Yeah. They all seem to go there. As said I think it's due to the bar angle.
The first batch are rumoured to have had an extra wrap of carbon, making them last a lot longer. Not sure how true that is, but I've had 2 pairs of the originals that seem to have been absolutely fine.
I know. The bike wasn't even for sale.
Yeah it is still a nice bike. But I'll forever have the limey and gu in the back of my mind. V1s with an insert.
Got an offer on my GU that I couldn't refuse, which included a neon xray full build.
Went and picked up the slate xl that was for sale on here last night, and with a few bits swapped around and a tidy up I've ended up with this.
Not a massive fan of rockmans but it seems like a fairly nice bike all in all.
Black smooth rims look cool on the right bike. But are only good for street... in summer.
I've ground my k2 rims twice in 10 months. And the argument about ground rims being more likely to fold is pretty much irrelevant unless you grind on a weekly basis as you said.
Every single bolt and fitting on my bike is stan. And I really do mean everything. You'll find no issues with any of it, except my pedal axles could be a better fit.
You might be right. I ordered one through them a couple of months back when they were reduced to £35 without realising it was going to be a lengthy wait. Cancelled that order fairly sharpish.
New pics up.
Got a little carried away on the racingline:
Ti grub screws,
Tpa's,
Tpa wheels,
Pistons.
Oh also stan ti tensioner bolts are now hidden away in there. There isn't a single ally/steel bolt on there. Wish me luck.
