  1. I'd wait until Windows 7 comes out if I were you Dave, it's much faster than Vista and especially on lower spec systems/laptops.
  2. Thought small? I have a Samsung NC10 that seems to run photoshop fine, but I rarely deal with files over 5mb. The screens a bit pokey for photoshop but it's not too bad, and the battery lasts for about 5.5 hours with the brightness up full and Wifi turned on.
  3. Also bear in mind that those rims are utter garbage, so you'll have to replace them aswell before long. Mine dented gapping to a curb, and I'm not very harsh on my bike. I wouldn't go for it, it's a 3 year old bike with no brakes, thats now been superceded by lighter, stronger frames with much nicer geometry.
  4. Unless you're incredibly smooth I wouldn't bother with rear disc, the only rider I know who can stand the flex is Tarty Adam, and he's incredibly smooth. Just get some harder pads or wait for the grind to go blunt!
  5. If they're straight get straight ones, unless it's really tight with new pads in. I'd get the Echo TR clamps, the metal C clip replacer things are immense apparantly.
  6. Looks great nath! Not normally keen on these because I think they look a bit bland, those wheels really suit it though.
  7. The seal kit has every piece of rubber in the brake, which is why I'd always do it, for the sake of £6 you might as well! Havn't read this so I dunno if it's any good, but here goes: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/wiki/Bleeding_Hope_brakes I use an adjustable spanner to straighten mine, just using the caliper as a guide and bending it straight. If it keeps going back it might be time for a new rotor though, mine tend to stay straight. EDIT: If you decide to polish the pistons, you can usually grab the bit where the magnet sits with a drill chuck and use that to polish with a cloth and some autosol.
  8. Sounds like dry piston seals and a shit bleed to me. Strip it all down, clean everything, polish the pistons, get a seal kit (They're only like £6), then rebleed it carefully and straighten the rotor.

    Silverstone

It was really good last year! You could get really close to F1 cars, those silly Renault 5 rally things, (The one that was similar in mentality to a Metro 6R4?), and got to see how much faster the F1 cars are than the Renault Cup/Series cars (Can't remember the name, single seaters anyway).
  10. Tensile mounts are offset, so don't buy them unless you need them, because when you need to move the slaves in when the pads wear. Do you have standard Maggy mounts? I think the top half of the clamps have little lumps on the corners, which you can file off so it clamps down harder.
  11. Can there be an option for "f**k that shit"? I hate brown sauce and always have, so I don't know which temp to go for.
  12. Hasn't she got any credit/debit cards with her? Or didn't she have? Seems a bit obvious to take them if you're going to london...

    Shoes

XC shoes are very stiff, trials shoes are very flexible. I use skate shoes, they're fairly stiff but still bendy.
  14. They don't have an address on the site, which means they could well not be registered or something...
  15. Semi, sits on the pantry floor. Prefer it cold though.
  16. You are one fat bird.... Are the C clips fecked? Are the mounts bottoming out? You can file the clamps down so they can be bolted down tighter.
  17. Your forks could have bent, but it just sounds to me that you've been sent the long version instead of the short.
  18. He rides a Monty, so only a monty hub will fit anyway. If you want cheap Ozzy, get a PR hub, or a second hand TI hub.
  19. Who gives a flying f**k, if you want to be the best, go to a competition and win.

Unfortunately, no. I went last year, soooo want to go this year with the amount of people that are going! Anyone swinging by my way with a spare ticket?

    Nice riding, good first attempt!
  22. If that gets built with everything black but white spokes, it'd be even better than Dan6061's.
  23. I always patch them, I find it easier just to take one side of the tyre off rather than take the wheel out.
  24. Lie the bike on it's side, get someone to hold a flat edge across the hub bolts then measure vertically up from that to the centre of the crank bolt.
  25. Just try them and decide for yourself, loads of people ride with vees. Just get some posh pads and a grind for the rear and it'll be fine to learn the basics with.
