Any Other Ideas? Pics would be useful or links to stuff to give me some ideas. EDIT: Just thought, what about pics from shows? (or links), then I could try and copy some of their lines, only smaller...

I'd get the Echo stem and bars, the zoo bars flex quite a lot and my mate has just bought echo bars which are mega stiff.
-
This is probably my next bike, or just get a Zona Zip frame for my T-PRO.
-
I also have a T-PRO, and these are the upgrades I have done. Echo Forged 6061 CranksTensile FreewheelOnza Cirtus Pads On Ground Rims (Front And Rear)Skinny GripsMetal TPA AdjustersWellago PedalsI wouldn't bother with a front disc, my mate has a T-Mag and it is far to grabby, I much prefer having a HS33 on the front with a ground rim. The next thing is going to be new rims, or bar/stem combo.

Just do it! I was on trials forum earlier on tonight, then had to go out on my bike, in the dark and the rain! That is just how addicted I am. The reason I love trials so much is that it doesn't matter what you ride, how good you are, whether your ginger or not, everyone treats you the same. Unless your really good.

Sounds like a good spec, but make sure you write your topics in full sentences, with good spelling, punctuation and capital letters. This will mean that you get validated very soon, I was validated after one week of joining and now I'm a trials monkey! (after about two weeks!) Also, help people out where you can, and don't break the rules! (No for sale or racist/offensive topics).

What kind of riding do you do, what sort of build are you? I am short, shit and will ride anything, so i ride a second hand T-PRO. But if you are big and ride anything, go 26" Personally I would only go 24 if you ride street ONLY, the 24uk is a really nice bike but is a bit heavy for natural/hoppy trials, whereas the only 24" 'normal' bike is the onza zoot, which might be a bit cheap for the built you want. I ride 20 because I am learning so they are good for that and easier for me to throw around, but my mate is bigger than me and rides 26. Its really up to you but try and have a long, proper go on each bike in your area and analyse the good and bad of each.

I started messin about on Universal bmx's (I had two the same! both one cost me £20 and took me ages to save up for but i loved it, the other was free), when i was about 8, and have never looked back! when i was 11 i got really into it when i got a trek mountaintrack 220, it was a beast. I rode XC, Dirt Jumps and a bit of trials on it! then i got some XC thing that at first i thought was naff, so i bought a BMX as well and ran that for 1 years, then i ran the XC bike for 2 years cos it was better. then last year i bought the scott yz0 and then my T-PRO a few weeks ago!

Yeh, I used to build jumps before getting into trials, and it wasn't like poeple were just riding over it and knocking them down that way, this gang of chavs were walking down every day and pick axeing them. Mind you we all waited for them one day, it was these two dicks in the year below us. So we hid in the bushes until they came and then we chased them off! They didn't come back but then I worked out that trying to ride trials on a scott yz0 doesn't work, havn't been back there yet! Was it creosote that you were thinking of?

My Mum and Dad have granted me permission to build a trials area on this piece of land behind my house. So i have already got a large reel, about 4 foot diameter amd 2 foot deep. I was just wondering if anyone else has ever done anything like this, and if you have any advice, especially on things like how to stop it rotting away... I will be getting as many pallets as I want soon as well so I was wondering whether having them in stacks or on slants to try, any ideas helpful. Cheers!

Are Brake Boosters Really Necessary These Days.
Muel replied to bmfw's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
My T-PRO doesn't have them, but I am getting one for the back because I keep standing on the cross over, and the frame flexes quite a lot, but the forks don't so no need for the front. -
So does anyone think this is possible?

The other day this old lady who lives round the corner come talk to us, now my mum knows her cos they worked at the same school. This old lady, forgotten her name) was 90this year, we went to her party. She was riding her usual bike along as she has all my life, but rode to buxton from my home town in new mills and was on her way back. thats about 7miles on the road and is proper hilly. And she isn't bothered with us stratching walls and stuff when she sees us riding, where as we are always getting shouted at and stuff by people telling us to go and ride up some hills on those mountain bikes and put our seats back on our bmx's and go to the skate park... One guy seems to think he is the countryside ranger and always shouts at us. I have found that the best way to get rid of them is to say, "yes, we know we arn't supposed to be here, but we going to do it anyway," and usually he pisses off.

Can Some One Put The Spank Oobah Stiffy Rims On Here
Muel replied to trialsr lee's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
where can you buy these from and do they make a 24 version? (I might be building one) -
Well my mate snapped a pair. But it is a third hand JB that used to be Danny Butlers... And he landed on his bash trying to get up a 3 foot wall.
-
I would try that, but I'm not too keen about using hose that isn't designed for the job. good idea though
-
I had thought about goodridge, but they are a bit pricey... I have spotted some braided hose on supercycles: http://supercycles.co.uk/site_details.asp?ProductID=396 But they don't seem to stock the crossovers... but then i though why not just buy two rears and cut to bits off the end of one, and use the fittings I already have! But then I wondered how hard is it to cut? So i thought I'd ask. The only downside is it isn't Lime Green, but you can't have everything. One More thing, has anyone replaced the barbed connections on their crossovers with olive/shroud conections and can this be done, i just thought it might be harder to break the hose this way
-
Thanks for that, I'll go and have a word, but how would I know if it is the right sized hose?
-
Now thats a good idea, but where do you get them from, Thanks for the help.
-
I have seen a few bikes with HS33 hoses in various colours, and was just wondering whether anyone has them and knows where to get them from.
-
If this happened to me, I would get the welder at Dad's works to weld it, then shot blast the frame because they have a huge cabinate, then I'd spray it or get it powder coated and try to get some stickers for it! Maybe your not in my position though. I'd also get a brake booster, or make one.
-
That bike is sweet, but do you ride UCI style by any chance? no plate or ring? good o n you!
-
Don't use water unless you keep your bike in the house, my mates water froze cos he kept it outside, not good...
-
Yeh, I seem to have quoted the wrong thing before, sorry :$
