  1. the brake bosses screw in: it looks like on the underside of the seatstays, which would look nice... "The frame has an ultra clean look thanks to the new brake pivot system (when removed there is almost no trace of pivots on the frame) and the special removable cable guide system (if you don’t want to use guides then you can remove them and get a super clean top tube and seat stays)." I've looked at these and they are really nice frames, however, the bb is low at 12.5 on the 26 inch version so i guess the 24 would be lowish too... 2. Hey, I know a custom curtis would be a good option, but i just wondered if anyone knew of a frame that was available with 'Zebdiish' geo at the moment... Just spoke to clive leeson and he is'nt taking any orders at the mo so was looking at options: I'm open to anything as long as its similar to: (within reason and has to have a seat and look like a normal bike no offense meant to long and lows) 74° head angle 15.5" rear stays 13" bb height about 5 lbs NS Bikes suburban 26 looked like a maybe, but only has horizontal dropouts and low bb... shame looks great though The mob frame looks good, but is £500 and at that price i may as well get a curtis... I made a shady mock up of a black market lol head angle is only 69 but should be steeper with 420 forks over 4 inch sus ?
  3. good advice, but punctuation? try that in one breath...
  4. Hey is anyone going to Corby tnt as ive just found out i'm there and it would be good to say hello... Cheers
  5. Thats what you need!! get one dont use a screwdriver!!
  6. the correct tool looks like a large bullet with a springloaded number of prongs which when tapped past the cup and be used to knock the cup out with a rubber mallet... go to a good bike shop and they should have one. No more damage to frame or to your cup.
  7. I use Mg1's and have done for two maybe three years (same set)!! Great pedals and now through different companies you have a choice of colours!! Can't get better! (Original Shimano DX'x from the late 80's early 90's were the best ever and almost every platform pedal inc the mg1 is a copy of that. Shame when they brought a new pedal out under the same name it was no where near as good!!) have a look at them here
  8. Good work Adam first try!! lol
  9. was using a standard specialized tube in a comp 24 for absolutly ages with no problems... I used to run heavy duty downhill tubes (green ones i forget the make now) but i prefered the feel of a standard tube as it rebounded a little faster and was lighter. I'm now running a standard (Halfords) tube in a koxx slick (rear) and have had one flat in three weeks hard riding, however, im now running 55 psi front and rear! lol
  10. ok tried all my usual trials moves last night on them and they worked really well... (still running 55 psi though lol) Gaps to rail and drops gaps etc seemed fine. Where before i was relying on the comp 24 to get me through a lot of the time; now due to the reduced weight i am making things a bit easier and am therefore less likely to pinch. The sidewalls are however, really thin and they are not a full time go all out trials tire, but if like me you want an amazing park tire for the odd trials move they are great. Just have spare tubes with you! Oh and if you thought that you have found good tires for a smooth concrete park try these as i could feel myself accelerate without doing anything lol they are properly fast!!!!!
  11. Thank god for that i thought it was me doing something wrong... It gets stuck on the encoding page (said 27 seconds for about 30 mins) and then i cant play it at all although others seem to be able to? Weird...
  12. New Forks!! Planet X superlights 420mm as before.
  13. new vid link god i need to get up to speed with the forum the vid doesnt load for me but see what you get.... sorry Grant

  15. The setup is really a Holroyd replica from the Trials King days... Its the same frame fork stem and bars that he used to run before he changed back to a 90mm stem. The shifter was an XT with the mount bolt that is done up from the top when on the bars... This means when you cut off the bar mount the shifter still has the thread in it... Just drill a hole somewhere (in this case through a booster) use washers and then do up the bolt; fitted. just weighed it and its 24.8lbs!! surprised I forgot to thank Tartybikes... As usual the tires came in when they said and they arrived next day as they said. Good service.
  16. Yes i am alive lol... high to everyone i havent seen in a while.... we'll have to ride sometime soon!! Tom the sidewalls are very thin lol... for park im running about 55 psi and havent done many trials moves on them yet ( i think a lot of spare tubes are the order of the day with these for gaps to hard sharp edges!). However i've lost about 600g of the rear going from comp 24 to this; so it feels very different. Its also a lot faster just rolling as the resistance is a lot less so that helps as pedaling up and down stuff is now easier!! thank god. Spinning tricks like 540 tap are a piece of piss due to there being nothing to grip or slow the rotation down as you spin, which is handy. As i said before side grip is crazy and you can really lean the bike at stupid angles and it doesnt wash out!! (maybe knee down on a zebdi?? lol) this greatly helps when carving on transitions as you get no slip form your tire at all. They are also good because everyone goes what the f**k sort of tires are they lol My mum thought i was riding on innertubes bless her. Plazmatics on 521 cd + goodridge hose is a great combination for braking; just clean with water and kitchen towel every now and again.... Front is a 1996 XT!!! on avid 5 lever linear cable and lizard gooey pads lol... Old school!
  17. Harrow Skatepark today was amazing; such a shame its going, it's a real loss. lean angles due to grip are so big i'm glad i dont have wider bars!! serious lol
  18. Thanks for those Max it was good fun.... Got home at 2 in the morning lol... The forum looks different than i remember lol its been a while...
  19. Luke Edwards and Dimitri are both stand up guys offering a top quality product!! Order from them without worry!
  20. Yep I stayed in the travel lodge in bristol, it is the one near the strange hexagonal underpass roundabout thing. We took the bikes into the rooms so no problems there and its really near all the major parts of town.... nice
  21. "is there any pacific things i need to know about the tubing size, basing it on a curtis?" TOM TOM It really shoud be "Are there" the word is "specific" not Pacific! Are you needing this info for a DT project by any chance? As it seems like you are not doing much of the work yourself....
  22. Luke Edwards had one pair of 400mm when i spoke to him last, Search for Member "Lukeee" and PM him.... He might still have them....
