  1. As a "mortal/human/everyday rider" (as opposed to Lewis, stan etc haha) I should be testing these out soon too. Will give you the *real* low-down on them I used the original yellow Plazmatic pads for about 4 years, they were great. I bought direct from Mr Russ and these were consistent over the years, the compound & performance did not change. The colour did slightly but I doubt that makes a difference. I tried the [red] PMG pads for a 10 minute driveway session, would not bite or grab, was just left with red shavings on my rim. Looking forward to seeing Plaz make a comeback in modern trials. So many pads out there these days though, 5-6 years ago you could count them on one hand!
  2. Wow! 2 interviews in the one month!! Congrats Jack, you deserve it. Your riding is always exciting to watch and hope I can catch you soon. PS. Thanks for putting in that photo of us, haha. Can now say I have appeared in an international mag on my bike!!! (technically)
  3. ahhh Jack awesome mate!! Hopefully catch up with you this year. Come back to Oz sometime soon and ride our infinite rocks on a lovely summer's day!
  4. No worries Dan. So does this get refunded manually afterwards, or something? Just broke.. I'm sure others can relate haha
  5. ok so I did get charged VAT when ordering from Trials-UK (im in your illegitimate child country, Australia) so I got this email first, when enquiring if I pay it: "All orders outside the EU will have the VAT % taken of the order" so I go ahead and order, VAT doesn't appear off, I check and then I get this reply: "VAT is charged however you do not pay for your VAT over at in your country which makes up the VAT being payed over here." halp? im not entirely familiar with how it gets charged, but I've ordered many times from Tarty and Chain reaction with no VAT... and no extra charge when it enters here
  6. Mr slinger So one can use a King hub? But you must use funbolts? Or can you use a QR skewer I am thinking of gettin a new model.
  7. sorry the last ones were pretty poor. Hope you like these better!! thanks to UN/Atomz Australia
  8. yeah sorry I forgot to mention.. I took this as soon as I finished building. Hence, steerer wasn't cut! But I've chopped it down so I'm running 10mm only. Haha I was riding the Kenny Belaey frame for the past 2 years up until I got this! That's why I bought it....

    Random Stuff

good to see you got some footage of Joe Brewer.. did anyone meet him??
  11. If people have them, are they reliable? I'm more concerned about the single wall-ness and the quality of the hub.. I'm currently running a Echo 05 f. rim on a Middleburn disc hub and wanting to get something a bit lighter, plus the rim is starting to crack around the spoke holes thanks all
  12. yep. i dont really know exactly how they work, but then again I'd say 95% of people who own them don't know either. But they work and hardly ever fail, to be honest
  13. i've used the old style one for years then got an 05 one a few months ago. Not as stiff as the older model but still works well, more comfortable I suppose you could say. Which ever one you can get cheaper, they're both good. I think the old style ones would be going for cheap now anyway
  14. pick a file and right click-Save as
  15. my Kenny Belaey promodel.. 2 years old very soon black fork? disc only Magura rear, Hope trial 07 front Tryall bar/stem Try-all cranks, Tensile bash Wellgo magnesium pedals Tryall rim rear, Echo front Chris King hub rear, Middleburn front Michelin tyre rear, Try-all front KMC chain Chris king headset thats about it really.
  16. try looking for TMPGEnc.. it makes them into mpg format which have pretty reasonable quality. And it comes with a lot of pre-saved settings so it's pretty damn easy to use Otherwise you can use premiere to export to Windows media (wmv) files with semi decent results
  17. very nice. i have one of those frames too. keep it up. very relaxed
  18. http://tv.isg.si/site/?q=filebrowser/mithc if you press "Last modified" you'll get them from most to least recent. there's ones from a few weeks ago, up to a few years ago. Enjoy!
  19. in my experience, the mono mini tends to slip and leak for some strange reason. Mono trial feels a million times better.
  20. I learnt to sidehop to my right first, then only a couple of years ago decided to learn to my left (right footed) now it feels better going to the left, as you can get closer to the obstacle and "tuck" better hope this helps. best to learn both sides of course!
  21. anyone seen/got pics? im curious
  22. i used double cages for years. they were ok, once you wear out the cages on your front foot just swap it with the backfoot and you can get a fair bit of life out of them i used the DMR pedals for a while too but i found there wasn't enough surface area.. like they have no "corners" .using the Wellgo magnesiums at the moment. very light and grippy! just don't let it catch your shin... i'd recommend them. otherwise doublecage
  23. hi all. i'm mitch, new to this forum and this is my bicycle you can see most of the spec from the picture i think. lots of Try-all parts, Hope, magura, RB, chris king, etc
