  1. Glad that you'll be there again! There's a water jump that we need testing Regarding Friday night, here's a reply I sent regarding the same question earlier... That's no problem to camp Friday. Follow this link and ring the number to book yourself a camp space for the Friday night. http://www.woodfestwales.co.uk/north/camping.html You'll have to pay for the Friday camping as it is not included in the Tarty Days fee.
  2. Anyone arriving in the morning, however early, will need to park in the main car park. This is because you will need to go through the ticket station, and purchase a ticket, before entering the Woodfest showground. If you arrive before the ticket station opens (8:30am ish at a very rough guess) then you'll need to wait outside the perimeter of the Woodfest showground (i.e. in the main car park) until you are able to purchase your ticket. The main carpark and the Tarty Days camping area are only a short walk apart. Having your car in the main car park is NOT a problem at all. You will still be able to visit your car as often as you need throughout the day without any problem.
  3. Many thanks to Tribalzine who have written an article about Tarty Days entitled "Less than a week to go" CLICK HERE to read it.
  4. Good idea JD #tartydays
  5. 1 week tomorrow!! Building work for the course starts in the Woodfest yard this weekend and on-site from Monday. The mini jump box is almost complete. Everything is coming together nicely. If you haven't marked yourself as attending on the facebook event page then please do. Anyone who is willing, please make a facebook status update that is linked to www.TartyDays.co.uk. That'd be fantastic for spreading the word and making sure no-one misses out on what promises to be a fantastic event. Also, I don't think Tarty Days has had much of a twitter presence either yet. Again, if you would spread the love for Tarty Days on Twitter that'd be great. I'm psyched! It's going to be amazing. Peace Barlow
  6. Latest clean and 'GET' video = yes, that's right... double thumbs up!
  7. Don't forget that Tarty Days runs as part of Woodfest Wales, so as well as riding there is lots of other activities to get involved with... Woodfest is the biggest event of its kind in the UK, attracting 25,000 plus people over the course of three days. www.woodfestwales.co.uk An interactive festival, full of exciting things to do for all the family - 7 different event arenas - Over 150 outside stands of demonstrations and trade - 6 main marquees full of interesting and unique goods produced in the UK - Chainsaw Carving Competitions, - Lumberjack Competitions, - Axe Racing, Pole Climbing, - Horse Logging Competitions, - Birds of Prey displays - Chainsaw artists competing to carve giant wooden sculptures - High tech forest equipment demonstrated by working professionals - Watch craftsmen and women carrying out traditional Crafts and skills - Arts Zone - Education Zone - Craft Fair - Food Fair - Woodturning & Tools Marquee - Children's play areas and rides
  8. Thanks for the offer. Drop me a PM with your mobile number and I'll be in touch about helping out the week before. If you are arriving in the morning I'd actually recommend parking in the main Woodfest public car park (free) initially and then moving your vehicle to the Tarty Days camping area in the evening, once the Woodfest event has closed to the public. Yes, no problem. Just tell the staff at the ticket office you'd like a three day pass and a free t-shirt. Individual campfires are strictly prohibited on the new site this year (Kimnel Estate). Good news though, personal BBQ's are fine as long as they do not scorch the grass (i.e. Please use the stand provided if you are using those disposable BBQs) ------------------------------ BBQ update: The BBQ, Live band and Bar (stocking fine local Ales) will be on SUNDAY night. To reiterate, the one free Burger per person offer is limited to those individuals who buy a three day pass.
  9. It's totally open to everyone. Woodfest is a 100% family friendly event so bring em along. Take a look at http://www.woodfestwales.co.uk (Woodfest is the event that Tarty Days is twinned with) and you'll see that there will be loads of none riding related activities to do, suitable for all ages, alongside the amazing riding arenas.
  10. Dave MacLeod is not only one of the world's best rock climbers but also a well researched scientist. Climbers are plagued by the same tennis/golfers elbow that riders suffer from and he has some fantastic insights and suggestions. I'd recommend searching out his articles on the subject via google and that this article may be a good starting point. http://onlineclimbingcoach.blogspot.com/search/label/tennis%20elbow Hope it helps Peace Barlow

  13. Alongside what Adam said we just want to reiterate that Tarty Days 2011 really will be geared to riders of all abilities. We have TWO riding arenas this year (see details below), one of which is going to be tailored for beginners and intermediate riders to learn and develop their skills. Here are the details I just posted in the Web Updates thread about Tarty Days 2011: I've added a couple more pages of info: 1. The Riding Arenas This year we have TWO riding arena not just one! As such it will be MUCH more suited to ALL abilities 2. Demo Info & Demo rider list In 2010, Woodfest and Tarty Days were seperate events and held one week apart. The Bike Fest Demos have traditionally been part of Woodfest. They are public trials shows, designed specifically to showcase our sport. For 2011, Woodfest (which will again include The Bike Fest Demos) and Tarty Days are combining to make, what promises to be, an incredible event. Click the links to see the information on The Bike Fest Demos. Any questions, suggestions or comments then fire away. Peace

  17. This week I've had very productive meetings about Tarty Days 2011. What I can say is... it promises to be fantastic (If you're coming don't forget to bring the sunshine!) The latest update to TartyDays.co.uk is regarding the Demos that will be happening throughout the festival Take a look at photos (of previous Bike Fest demos) and details HERE Also check out the confirmed rider demo list HERE Only two names on there at the moment but I'll share more of names of the confirmed riders with you over the next few weeks! I've got loads of details to add to the site, about the fantastic course etc. I'll do that on a rainy day soon, however right now the sun is shining so I'm going out riding. Peace
  18. Good stuff! The plans that are under way mean that it should be even better than last year!! Sorry not even for..... (Which doesn't quite work, given that 1 million dollars is less than your offer, but I'm sure you get my failed comedic drift)
  19. This blog oozes style and communicates a lifestyle and attitude rather than simply a sport. My new favourite trials blog.
  20. Echo Control '09 Short (For those days off from riding the 'spinny' streety trials bike) Photos by Huffy Taken on the same day that I did THIS BIG thanks to...
  21. Wow! Amazing I'm looking forward to hearing how you get on with it.
  22. That's no problem, camping is available spanning the whole build up and rig down of the event (i.e. a couple of days either side). The official Tarty Days camping is only open Saturday and Sunday night. Therefore you will need to ring the Woodfest office on 08445763410, explain you are part of Tarty Days, and would like to camp on Friday night as well. I am not sure how much an additional night will cost. They will tell you. More info on the Website: http://www.woodfestwales.co.uk/north/camping.html
  23. Come along anyway. Last year I had my hand in a removable cast and only managed to ride one line - still had an amazing time though. There were those people who seemed to ride from sun-up till sun-down (fair play!) but equally a fair few people, even those who were fit and healthy, used the majority of the time to catch up with friends and meet people. For old times sake and to chat about the good old days!?! Glad you like the site, thanks, and hopefully see you there. News.... NEW DATES: 28th - 30th of May 2011
