    An Old Edit.

Huge riding even by bang up to date standards. Only let down is the music in my opinion (is that because I'm getting old?). It didn't make me want to mash my head, more like cut off my head to make it stop. 100% classic CLS TGS monster stuff that we all used to know and love, our staple diet of times gone by! Loving the gap to post at 1.35 and 180s at 1.55 and 2.26. How's riding these days?
  4. Brilliant - as we've come to expect from your vids Rowan. Smooooth! Such classy control of a trials steed meant that I couldn't help but chuckle that the music comes from JB's album entitled 'It's boring being in control'
  5. Will, as you know it goes against everything I believe in and fundamentally opposes my core morals to pay a high compliment to anything mod related. If this wasn't the case I'd probably say something like, "Awesome looking bike mate, rides like and dream and you're really smooth on it - Superb!" However, I simply can't say that so instead I'll say: "Rubbish"
  6. I think you definitely look better on the stock Jamie, sweet moves mate. Ride soon?
  7. Think it's just thee and me Will. Half day suits me well too. Text you later
  8. Classic fail on my part!! Oooops! As it turns out I DON'T mean the bank holiday I DO mean the 24th Hope people can still get the time off! (I've changed the original post now and removed the words bank holiday!)
  9. North Wales Coast Ride Monday 24th August 2009 Full days riding across six different spots (east to west) Start early, finish late, consume lots of cake and ride lots - Rhyl - Abergele - Colwyn Bay - Llandudno - Penmaenmawr - Bangor
  10. Really nice. Where did you get it sprayed and how much £ or is it a DIY spray job??
  11. Yeah I totally see that there are two sides to this argument. However advertising a bike as "all parts are in excellent condition" surly means that all parts should be in excellant condition!
  12. The brake clamps down still (which is probably why the seller didn't notice). However I can't run it because there is a split in the lever body itself (see pic) Only met him for a few mins but I DON'T think he had 'just pushed/superglued back on'. I believe it was damaged but the damage was unknown to him (this is based on the fact that he gives me his word that he didn't know, and I believe him).
  13. No it wasn't. Quote from a PM where I asked him about the condition of the bike: "Hi, All parts are in excellent condition, theres a tiny dent in the top tube, hasnt taken the paint off or anything, very minor thing. Forks are also great condition, cant even think of any damage."
  14. I bought a bike last night from someone on the forum, who shall remain nameless, but who seems to be a nice bloke. We met up in the pouring down rain and I couldn't really test ride the bike much because he'd brought it with a flat front tyre and we didn't have a working pump between us to inflate it fully. I looked over the bike and he assured me everything was fine and working well. He appears to be a geniune guy and I have no reason to believe that he was lying. I believe him that he thought everything was 100% OK with it. Thing is everything wasn't OK with it. I gave him the cash and we went our seperate ways. At the next services I pulled in and glancing at the bike in the back of my car saw that the front lever clamp was knackered. I phoned him straight away to tell him. I got home at midnight last night and mailed him the picture (above) I figured I could still ride it without a front brake at lunch time today so this morning went to load it in my car. Pushing it down my drive I pulled on the rear brake and the rear magura lever snapped off!! I've had the bike 12 hours, 7 of those hours I have been asleep, and I have ridden it (with a flat front tyre) all of 1 minute!! Two broken levers = unhappy me I'm not saying this nameless guy is a scammer at all. I am just asking what you think a reasonable solution to this situation is. - Should he buy two second hand maggy levers and post them to me? - Should he compensate me with money? If so, how much? - Should I have noticed the damage and therefore this is all my fault and there is nothing I can do about it? - Other suggestions? We'll sort this out between us, I'm sure of that, and find a solution that is fair for both parties. I just wanted to hear people's opinions Peace
  15. Rich Johnson put 24" wheels on a Saracen X-tort way back in the day (a long, long time before the ET was on the scene) and used it to perform trials demos. However... - He ran dual discs as it was actually a frame with v-brake mounts spaced for 26" wheels - Although Saracen marketed them as 'trials' frames, were they really!?! So although it might not strictly answer your question it's interesting to know that attempts at riding 24" trials is not just a new idea.
  16. With a bit of effort and only a very small outlay of cash you can change the colour yourself and have yourself an individual & unique bike anyway. The important thing is not the colour but how it rides. I've had both a Justice and an ET in the past and they both rode sweeeeet! The cumulative trials experience that has gone into these frames (from Mart and all the other testers) means that we should definitely be onto another winner!
  17. I'm just getting a bit worried that Rowan might have been whispering in Martyn's ear that rear brakes are for wimps

    Demo Vid

The VTT guys did that did that 'bike dancing' demo on the 'France's got talent' program a while back. I was watching some more of their demos on youtube and found these demo vids. I've only added this first link for interest it's not great: - Watch this one though: In part 2, at 1:25 the rider clearly is building up the anticipation by prettending to bottle out of the jump but he doesn't get it quite right...!
  19. The film maker Paul H posted this note of thanks in a <<NEW MEMBERS CHAT TOPIC>> yesterday: "Just wanted to say thank-you for all the positive feedback regarding the 'Consciousness' video All feedback is greatly appreciated. I'm really pleased to hear that people generally seem to like it. Apologies for the delay in acknowledging the feedback, I've been away filming. Paul Higginson resolutionvideo.co.uk"
  20. I wanted to make some joke based around the Land Rover tag line about 'the best 4 x 4 x far' but it's too early for my brain to function properly. So I'll just say... VERY niiiice!!
  21. This is Paul Higginson's (resolutionvideo.co.uk) commissioned WoodFest Video << VIMEO >> He has more great footage so hopefully there might be more vids to follow I've added it to THIS THREAD too (6th reply down)
