  1. In fact didn't you actually make it on your first go Matt? Thanks for riding the demos - brilliant riding as always and great to hang out with you again. I'll share all the pics as soon as I have them.
  2. Forecast is looking promising for North West Wales over the weekend! woop woop There isn't any artificial lighting set up for the evenings mate. We'll have a bonfire going though!
  3. A friendly suggestion to everyone who is coming to Tarty Days.... ...bring plenty spare clothes and shoes if you're going to do this a lot!
  4. Please tell them to "sort it out and register asap"
  5. Really sorry to hear that you've lost your wrist band. The problem that arises here is that if we give you another wrist band for free, and your original does turn up, then it is feasible you can have two people enter for the price of one. I'm certainly not suggesting this is something you would do, however if we bend the rules for you then it sets a precedent. After which point anyone else who loses their wrist band can justifiably claim they should be given another for free, thus compounding the problem. It clearly says in the event info that if an attendee loses their wrist band then they must purchase a new one at full price (to avoid the problem detailed above). All I can say is good luck in your continued search.
  6. Here are some shots of this last weekends demo. This rig will form a large part of the BASIS of the Tarty Days Trials Arena. There WILL be more kit. There is a lot of work to be done on the arena this week to add smaller scale kit and also kit to allow creative lines but I hope the current set up floats your boat. Thoughts....
  7. Fair play! That's definite commitment to staying committed! Looks perfect for a Fourplay - will 25 deg rise Hope stems be available from Tarty any time soon?
  8. If potentially getting your face in MBUK floats your boat then order your wrist band asap, it's been agreed that Tarty Days will get some column inches (how much mag space is still tbc)
  9. Brilliant riding lads as always. Loved the edit - especially Stan's bail and Ali's shin dig. Looked like a really fun couple of rides.
  10. Ctr-C ---> Ctrl-V: ---------------------- Inspired Bicycles support Tarty Days A massive THANK YOU to Inspired Bicycles who have come on board as sponsors for the 2010 Tarty Days festival. As the event organiser this is great news and really shows Inspired's commitment to UK trials. With Inspired bicycles joining the festival title sponsors, Tarty Bikes, we are in a strong position to offer a very exciting three days of riding. Inspired bicycles, founded by David Cleaver, are the genius behind the hugely successful 'Fourplay' frame. The brand new Inspired bicycles website says, "Named with reference to it's 24" wheels and playful character, the Fourplay frame has become the standard against which all other street frames are judged."
  11. I really like the new website. Super strong team line up and that latest Sean Watson brakeless video is brilliant.
  12. Thanks for asking - there is a warehouse on-site where bikes can be stored safely over-night
  13. Yup Partz is right Nearest station Click on the arrow next to 'getting there' The station is 4.7 miles away from St Asaph where Tarty Days will be
  14. I was over at the event show ground last night. Had another really positive meeting with the team over there. I'm so psyched about this and I'm glad so many other people are too. Just a quick plea... If you are going to come then please register ASAP rather than leaving it until the last minute. The only reason I ask this is that I am currently talking to mobile catering companies (Burgers and Butties van and Indian take away) and also a company to run a licensed bar on-site. If everyone registered early then I'd hopefully be able to give them the sort of numbers of attendees that would convince them it'd be financially viable.
  15. When you pre-register for £10 you will receive a wrist band. That wrist band will allow you access to the course and facilities for the entire duration of the event, during which time you can come and go as you please. If you want to only attend one day that is fine. Equally if (for whatever reason) you only want to attend one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening of each day that is also fine. It's a £10 flat fee regardless of whether you attend the whole three days or just part of the the festival. If you come and go from the festival you WILL need to keep your wrist band on - failure to do so may result in your having to purchase another wrist band for £10 so please bear this in mind. The festival is for riders. However there is no blanket ban on bringing partners. This year there isn't anything lined up for none riders to do (next year may cater for the public, have live bands, coaching sessions, etc etc dependent on the success of this years festival) so she may get pretty bored. It's your call - partners will have to pay £10 just like anyone else and put up with the fact that the festival, given the current nature of the UK trials scene, will be roughly 99% male! My wife isn't coming along, for me this is a weekend with the lads.
  16. Adam and JT are spot on with what they said. There is FREE on-site camping too mate so no need to beg a bit of land from anyone! For those who haven't heard, there will be an on-site professional sports massage therapist. Paul, a friend of mine who runs his business from Shrewsbury has offered vastly reduced rates of £5 for a 15 minute session, half of which will be donated to charity. Check out Restore Sports Massage
  17. Good effort, glad you're making the journey From Tarty Bikes website: Description - For 2010 ‘The Bike Fest’ presents Tarty Days - A three day trials festival in St Asaph, North Wales - 11th – 13th June 2010 - Gates open at 11:00 am on Friday 11th, event ends at 18:00 on Sunday 13th.
  18. Hold your breath, Adam is about to post an exciting link...
  19. Tarty Bikes will NOT have a stand. The Tarty crew are keen to chill out, ride with riders from across the UK and enjoy the festival that they have made possible. Regarding pre-registration; If people could just stop buying stuff from Tarty Bikes for a few hours then Adam would have chance to put the pre-registration page online!! (hehe - just kidding)
  20. Good question, currently I am not organising a comp. (Trying to organise the festival and write a PhD is proving time consuming enough!) Personally I envisage a very chilled out atmosphere where people simply ride what they want, when they want, how they want. It's not often we get to meet up in such large numbers and just jam together. My take on it is that there are already some amazing comps throughout the UK and that this event is a chance to do something a bit different. That said however, if there is overwhelming demand for a comp, some of the NWBT (North Wales Bike Trials) crew have suggested that they might try and run a comp at the event. Make your opinions known!
  21. hehehe!! Yeah definitely, as stated elsewhere, there will be additional sections made to cater for ALL abilities. --------- NOTE: The course builders for Tarty Days are a group of very talented craftsmen and always up for a challenge. Take a look at the pictures and videos and see what they created last year. If you have any dream sections or obstacles that you'd love to try and ride then draw them and email them across to me. (slowprogress at hotmail dot co dot uk) Although I can't promise we can create everyone's ideal sections it'd be good to try and create a few. Give as much detail as possible to aid the course builders (rough sizes, angles, depths, distance etc etc)
