Well thanks guy's, Some split opinions there....I'll stick with smooth, and when i bend my next one i'll have a grind again. I do kinda miss the sound ! As for Tar !!!! I had tar on my Giant team bike when i baught it new, and that was the dogs !!! Makes the best sound ever ! Ahhhaaa, ok so it's mainly Cost/Health and Safety Rubbish !!! But more importantly, does everyone still grind there rim ? I did mine with an angle grinder back in the day ! Is that still common ? Jarrod

Is Grinds are so good why don't you get them as standard ? Surely when a manafacturer is producing the Rim they could make a tidy, even and straight job of it ? I havn't got a grind.....Or rear disc mounts.... but i am a retard ! Jarrod [Edit] Is it just as simple as it gives the brake more grip on the Rim ?

Please don't shout at me here guy's, as you all know i've been out of the trials loop for a bit, and just riding on my own ! But does ANYONE still grind there rim ? I went from having a ground rim (about a year ago) to smooth and the only difference i can find is my brakes don't Honk, deafening every poor person around me ! I used to ride alot harder when i was a bit younger, but i still ride the same stuff...Just a bit slower ! And i saw a few guy's in town the other day and none of them had Grinds ? This has been niggeling at the back of my mind for a few days now, and lets face it...The newest trials product i've seen is my Hs's !!!!! Jarrod

I do, my Bird is great. Never uses the computer, cooks, cleans, makes me lunches for work, comes to work on her day off and cleans my toolbox, rides my pashley to work and back every other day and locks it in the staff kitchen, shes got huge tits, she's gorgeous and she's the best bird int he world ! Nope, do not get it... Look at the front bumper ? Obviously thats quite cheap for a car of that year etc etc etc.... It's obviously had some damage there, if you do choose to buy it....go to view it, and check in front of the raditor....Pull the seals back, look for overspray on cabels/pipes in the engine bay and scrutinise EVERYTHING. Check the scuttle panel for water marks, look underneith the bonnet itself for any over spray or other signs of damage, take the oil fill cap off and smell it....If you can smell petrol the Head gaskets on it's way out. If it's got bent chassis rails/subframe it's f**ked ! This isn't stupid advice, I'm a mechanic. Jarrod

Dude, Your a legend ! It's about time trials forum (and trials riding !) got off it's brand name high horse ! You do know Martyn Ashton learnt everything an old Raleigh Burner (a cheap bmx !) I worked with Mike Smith (DMR) at Cycleworks (you can go to the Haslemere shop and see him any day of the week !) and he learn't EVERYTHIN he knows on a bike his dad made him out of scaffolding poles when he was 7. And now he's an amazing Dj'er who gets paid to ride ! Surely it's all about having fun ? Certainly sounds like he's having fun to me ! And he's got the confidence to cut the frame up and make the best of what he's got. Wich means alot ? When i got my pashley i had a piece of washing line for a back V brack cable, an FSA power pro crank and masking take for a headset ! I couldnt afford a seat clamp so i sikoflexed my seat tube in and i had a bent set of MTB bars with masking tape for grips ! A cassette with no rear mech and a single speed chain ! Built in shift/brake levers with the gear cables cut off......And we all know how that looks now ! Good on you mate. f**k the rest, your doing what you can to ride.
