  1. Got back into trials in december 06 got an 04 pure and slowly bin upgrading, stages shown by pictures. The bike i bought--( Cheers to Mark from Southampton) Before this pic i changed the rear rim (D521 to Ronnie) both tyres and front brake(magura julie to hope mono mini on 203 rotor), bars and stem and rear mech (ss tensioner to tiagra mech). This arrived...............including new cane creek headset and new bb. Got it together....... Rode it for a bit.... Decided i needed shorter forks (old pure forks to '07 urbans) and a fresh grind.... After grinding the rim thought i would tidy up my bash guard... Am happy with how it is now, should keep me up to scratch for the rest of the hampshires this yr. Am thinking about boring out the holes on the ronnie by a few mil. Anyone done it before, will it weaken it? Let me know what you think. Regards
  2. I am a keen member of HBTC and have enjoyed every comp even though am coming average in blues. Tis great fn and good atmosphere. Natural for the win. Regards
  3. Riding alot is all good, i try and do an hr a day at least but will go out with mates instead sometimes, or combine the two. Tried pursuading a landlord of a local to let me ride inside once because it was tipping it down. Got the obvious answer. Regards

    Echo Pure

Hey, I built up my new pure just over a week ago, the back end is longer than the old one so am still getting used to the slow acceleration. What do you think?? OLD one: New one: Regards
  5. Hey, Anyone want to ride the weekend of 28th 29th in pompey?? Any preferance of sat or sun?? Sunday seems to be the norm for pompey, 11 at guildhall?? Regards
  6. I am game, will take a while to get used to urban but should be cool. Have started a new topic, same heading in new members so everyone can post. Regards
  7. I used an FSA pig DH pro for ages and it was fine, am currently runing a Cane Creek C2 from tarty and its good at £20. Regards
  8. Definately worth it, quite cheap even if some bits need changing. Make an offer £40 lower than the buy it now price try save some more money. Regards
  9. T-shirt and shorts, will wear shorts whaever the weather, if its cold i just put a hoodie on. Regards
  10. Hey there are 3 of us going to hut hill on saturday, would be cool if others could join us. Regards
  11. Good effort, took me ages before i was confident to gap off that sort of height. Keep practicing, and put together some more vids. Regards
  12. try somewhere new and natural. I am going to one of two places hopefully, maybe hut hill ( round one of HBTC this yr) or a place called milford haven near new forest as lots of good rock riding on the front. Not a good place if it is windy though, lots of big holes to fall down. Cant go wrong with natural. Regards
  13. Mtb games have been attempted before, mainly downhill and the bmx ones such as hoffmans game but i think the problem is it is so hard to make it realistic. Worth pushing for it though. Regards
  14. Nice one, quite well done. Regards
  15. I run a hope front disc and i just sprinkle a little bit of water on then ride round with the brake on and it usually works a treat. If the set up has not beded in yet use a bit of mud (really wet) and ride with the brake on till it has all dried. Made mine work uber good. Regards
  16. It is probably the angle as ash said, me being 5'5 as well i dont have any problem with 30" bars. If you havent been riding long it might be just weak muscles that are not used to the shock. If you ride with any experienced riders ask them when next out they should point you in the right direction. Regards
  17. The same DVD helped me a bit and starting from scratch as you are it should be quite useful, it shouldn't be too hard to find someone that ships internationally. Regards
  18. Many people say the echo, well its obvious by the people shouting it about here but my old echo pure frame was too narrow for one so i got an onza ronnie (drilled) on the rear and it has done me really well and it fits well in my new pure frame. Go with the majority and get the echo. Regards Moggles
  19. Some friends introduced me to using a water bleed and it made life so much easier, not to mention the improvement with the brake. As many have said it is much more responsive and it gives a much more positive bite. Good luck, you can always just try it. Moggles
  20. I am a stock man, tried mod for a short while and never got used to it. Got a stock again and my riding just improved really quickly. Personal preferance though. Regards Moggles
  21. Hey at the hampshire round 6 at burley comp today one of the guys said that i was in a vid from round 5 at froxfield but i forgot what he said to search for, i am tried searching and scrolling through many many threads throughout the site with no luck. Please help me Moggles
  22. I am the same dude, my local town petersfield is a bit dry, luckily i am not far from a few riders. Dont lose hope though! Regards Moggles
  23. They, thanks for that barry, the comps i do are the hampshires and i thoroughly enjoy them. Natural is better than urban any day i recon. But then i enjoy more technical bits rather than big stuff. Regards Moggles
  24. cheers dude, the comp stuff is alot more interesting when there and doing it with mates, its quite hard to make it look impressive though on video. Oh and i am only doing intermetiate route. Regards Moggles
  25. cheers for the honesty, it shows that i am no pro. but i do enjoy riding.
