  1. http://www.sammyd.co.nr It's not totally finished yet, but you get the idea. (I havn't checked it on firefox yet) Comments...
  2. What's the obsession with fisheyes these days? It's too "skater" for my liking. Good pics though
  3. Well it won't be the petrol "needle" as a 95 Polo would be injection. Probably a problem with the injectors or fuel rail. Best bet is to check out some VW Polo forums or failing that call the AA
  4. I'm 6ft 2" also and fit very snugly onto my Toxsin#1. WB comes in at 1085, I have a 110mm Echo stem and Zoo! risers facing forwards, I've got plenty of room. So the Toxsin gets my vote.
  5. You could always just insure it as a 4 grand boat?
  6. I'm at uni at though mo, so have my bike tucked away in my house. The only tools I have here are a 4mm & 5mm allen key and a puncture repair set (but I don't have a pump ). Anyway, my bb and ti'burn bashring are both a little loose. I have the tools to do these at home, but even if I did bring them here it would require a lot of effort doing it in my house, as fixing my bike usually requires a rubber hammer, vice and blow torch. Ok, yeah I could probably bodge both things with a hammer and screw driver but I'd rather do it propperly with loctite etc So, once a week I ride my other get-about-bmx past a local "Raleigh" bike shop, today I went in there and enquired about taking my cranks off, tightening my isis bb and tightening my bashring. I aproached the counter to be greeted by a short arogant fat bloke with two wandering eyes... After explaining what a bashring was, I enquired as to whether they actually had a Middleburn lockring tool... So after explaining what that was to him, I asked how much it would all cost. Expecting about a tenner, he told me "YEAH WE CAN DO THAT 50 POUND PLUS VAT". Err, am I missing something here? 50 quid for a ten min job, I don't think so mate. I'm guessing as it's actually a "Raleigh" shop (even though the sign in the window says they service and repair all makes), they have a minimum workshop charge? So if I wanted one wheel bolt tightening, they would charge me 50 quid? What happened to the borrowing tools from lbs' too? It's all a health and safety nightmare. So yeah, just a possible pointless rant. I just couldn't belive they want that much
  7. Nah..... You're all wrong A nice pair of Troy Lee's AND Ritchey foam grips. It's all down to personal pref really.
  8. Utter nutter. edit: LMFAO at that second vid
  9. TotalVideoConverter? Download it for free then crack buy it. It might work on the old PC, it's a fairly simple program.
  10. No stupid effects, intros and crazy editing, just RAW riding. Loved it, one of the best riding vids I've seen in a while. I give it two thumbs fresh (Y) edit: Whats the name of the first track?
  11. Don't get it from the road, don't get it from your shed's felt roof. Find a local roofing place in the yellow pages and just turn up and ask for a small lump of tar. That's all I did when I used to use tar. Infact your local DIY, B&Q will probably have some sort of tar with the roofing. Go to the nearest trailor park and find the pikey roofers. As people have said, tar is AWESOME. Apart from when it becomes wet, so watch out. Also remember not to put too much on or your pads will stick to your rim and when you let off the lever, you won't go anywhere.
  12. BB7 yeah, they are good but from personal experience, two of mine have fallen to bits just by themselfs. If you have a little more cash go for the Avid Juicy 7, basically the hydraulic version of the BB7. A VERY good brake!
  13. Photoshop, but it's expensive and not worth it for a camera phone. Or for free, the GIMP... http://www.gimp.org/downloads/ It's actually not bad at all! Just play around with the hue, saturation, lightness, brightness and contrast till you get something that looks viewable
  14. Shimano XTR Best for the money, they are already pre-stretched so are good to go straight out of the box.
  15. Send them back to where you got them, why waste your time & money on facing?
  16. I'm doing engineering too, our formula student team produce chassis' which are quite possibly the finest example of "how not to weld". Damn academic types
  17. Dude sorry to piss on your chips here, it's rubbish. You could have the same thing with lots of legs coming off it from everywhere and you could actually make it look pretty cool.
  18. Dude, I can live without milk I've got every loan going, i'm ok for money I try to spend as little as possible! I just wanna treat myself for once
  19. 1000 pounds!! I've been offered a scholorship by my Uni, I get 1000 pounds put in my bank! Free money! How sweet is that?? Right, what do I buy? My bike doesn't need anything else, it's finished. So it's car time I think. Do I spend it on getting my car back on the road and finish building my engine? (1000 wont get me far to be honest though) or do I buy another car as a more economical get about? (My other car will be doing about 8mpg). So many choices!! I don't get the dosh till March though, but even still, WHOOP!!
  20. Sweet dude, you should get some pretty good snaps! Should have got a Canon though Nah jokes.
  21. Find an engineer/engineering lab Or use your teeth. That was a joke.
