  1. My Levelboss is pretty sweet for spins, bunnyhops and manuels (well I'm learning to manuel, but its pretty easier on this and feels lush). Mines like 1065mm wheelbase, and +15mm BB.
  2. Use your forks as a truing stand for front wheels, and your frame for rear wheels After lacing and tensioning the spokes, I just wack a maggie/vee on the frame/forks (and set the brake up so its in the middle) then spin the wheel and when the rim touches a brake pad - just true it to the middle of the two pads It's how I build all my wheels! Easy.
  3. How'd you work that out? You'd have a... non disc, snail cam version in 32h in Red non disc, snail cam version in 32h in Blue non disc, snail cam version in 32h in Gold non disc, snail cam version in 32h in Black non disc, snail cam version in 32h in Silver non disc, snail cam version in 32h in Gunsmoke non disc, snail cam version in 36h in Red non disc, snail cam version in 36h in Blue non disc, snail cam version in 36h in Gold non disc, snail cam version in 36h in Black non disc, snail cam version in 36h in Silver non disc, snail cam version in 36h in Gunsmoke disc, snail cam version in 32h in Red disc, snail cam version in 32h in Blue disc, snail cam version in 32h in Gold disc, snail cam version in 32h in Black disc, snail cam version in 32h in Silver disc, snail cam version in 32h in Gunsmoke disc, snail cam version in 36h in Red disc, snail cam version in 36h in Blue disc, snail cam version in 36h in Gold disc, snail cam version in 36h in Black disc, snail cam version in 36h in Silver disc, snail cam version in 36h in Gunsmoke non disc, chain tug version in 32h in Red non disc, chain tug version in 32h in Blue non disc, chain tug version in 32h in Gold non disc, chain tug version in 32h in Black non disc, chain tug version in 32h in Silver non disc, chain tug version in 32h in Gunsmoke non disc, chain tug version in 36h in Red non disc, chain tug version in 36h in Blue non disc, chain tug version in 36h in Gold non disc, chain tug version in 36h in Black non disc, chain tug version in 36h in Silver non disc, chain tug version in 36h in Gunsmoke disc, chain tug version in 32h in Red disc, chain tug version in 32h in Blue disc, chain tug version in 32h in Gold disc, chain tug version in 32h in Black disc, chain tug version in 32h in Silver disc, chain tug version in 32h in Gunsmoke disc, chain tug version in 36h in Red disc, chain tug version in 36h in Blue disc, chain tug version in 36h in Gold disc, chain tug version in 36h in Black disc, chain tug version in 36h in Silver disc, chain tug version in 36h in Gunsmoke See EDIT: And you could make more hubs with the choice of this new 'through axel' or bolt on/quick realise LOL!
  4. Why not get a Pro II or XC hub? They match, and are very reliable!
  5. Woop woop! When I think of 'old-skool', I'm thinking of: Giant Team Trial frames, Canondale Fatty forks, Hope XC hubs, FSA PowerPro cranks, V-brakes (even though loads of people still use them, including me ) And any 'non-drilled' rim
  6. But when you combine those options with the 32/36 hole options, and all the hope colour options.... they'd be making like 40 different hubs Maybe there not mad for trying this?
  7. You should get that! The stuff you'll upgrade on a standard T-pro has already been done, and its £150 - bargin! Also It should never cost over £15 to send a complete bike, just so you don't get ripped off there.
  8. I'll agree! When I got my 07 T-comp (the model up from the T-pro) I ended up changing every component! Exept the cranks... The hubs die quite quickly! The geo on the bar and stem sucks, and the geo and weight of the forks are real bad. Plus the frames are quite dated now to be honest. Looking at that Yaabaa, I'd be happy with almost all of those parts on it - and for a beginer it'd be perfect!
  9. Just tighten the non drive side spokes a couple of turns until the rim is sitting in the middle.
  10. Spray the frame white I did it to my T-comp (when I rode 20") and it looked really nice!
  11. Thats well cheap! Great idea! It would be simple enought to start making 'casette style' freewheels (instead of 'screw on') - and it would make it alot easier to get them back off
  12. I'm inbetween the two I like a 'FFW' screwed on the rear hub - my ratio is 24 : 18, one advantage of using freewheels are they're alot cheaper (maybe not in the very long run, but it'd take a while to destroy like £300 pounds of freewheels - instead of one Chris King!)
  13. Try pouring boiling hot water over the entire caliper & disc - then ride around for a few minites while feathering the brake. Repeat it a few times if you can't feel any difference in proformance after the first time. This allways sorts my BB7's out if they're not up to standards, but if nothing improves, you could try 'Organic pads'.
  14. Not sure how it feels to ride one on the back of forks - as I'm not allowed on his bike I just set his vee up
  15. Isn't that Levelboss geometry? But no vee mounts on those
  16. Ozzy's running a vee on vee daptors on the back of his Echo Lites. Theres no problems with setting them up atall.
  17. cai

    ,.

Should fit fine, but you'll costantly be re-adjusting it to tension the chain properly - unlike 'sprung ones'.
  18. You could try a washer inbetween the fork and hub? posibly a penny washer drilled to 10mm - it would have to be a thin one though. EDIT: I see its been mentioned above already
  19. Is this the indoor place with like massive cotton reals? As I saw a TRA vid in a place like that before - looked amazing!
  20. Creaking from the headset is often a crack in the forks - around the crown area usually.
  21. Cool, can you ride yet or is you back still bad? My Adamant came today too I'll leave feedback now.
  22. Cool little vid, unfortunatly I hate those black bits at each side/in the corners
  23. Looked good! Do you both ride Ashtons? Or do you share a bike
