  1. http://www.becausebike.com/default.asp anyone know anything about them? Their mod frame is 150 grams lighter than the one I have now and the same geo so I am thinking of buying one.
  2. profile is pretty annoying. nothing ever fits with their stuff. They probabaly make the splines 1mm wider or soemthing so u ahve to use profile cogs. Its just been my expereince with them, but like 100% of companies use metric for everything but profile uses imperial
  3. do you mean me? I have a chronic wrist problem. O wiat i didnt read closely no i never made a video about how bad it is or anything
  4. its like sunglasses you can see between the spaces so it just looks darker. Its good cause u can see people without them seeing you hehehe. Thanks for the comments from everyone else. Feedback is appreciated.
  5. thats the funniest thing i have ever heard. You thought chad was me?? Hehe hes like the exact opposite of me, short hair, helmet, glasses, light skin Also people aren't reading. Everything was snowed in and i only had 1 patch of cement to ride on, and the video wasn't edited and was filmed in like 10 minutes and is very meh. I am happy I can ride. My bionic doesn't kill my wrist and I can lift over 2lbs now. the 360 video is a joke but i guess u cant really hear me.
  6. what i realized is this. Progression is all about change. The more tricks you try to learn the faster you progress. Riding a bmx would be a lot of fun i think. What i mean is like if you invested 5 months of practice into trials and you are really good you would only boost a sidehop by an inch or so, if you invested that into bmx you go form not being able to do 360s to being able to do them. The only thing I think is you should ride a 24" or a streety mod because that way you can do both trials and bmx and combine them as well. As for the video its insanely awesome. I think you are making up the 6 month thing though hehe you must have been doing bmx moves on your trials bike before you switched? But yeah video was immensely awesome not only were the tricks really hard but they were done perfectly clean and flowy. Style > skill ***
  7. Hey I got my new mod running bionic b5r i think its really nice i feel way more control than on my toxsin. Here is a bad video in high def. I hate high def it takes 10 years to edit in so itll be my last high def vid I got pissed off and dent even edit this video. Nowhere to ride really everyhting is still snowed in so i could only ride like 1 small patch of cement. I also made a how to 360 video PLEASE COPY PASTE LINKS. The video will be higher quality this way random clips "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlLaWyrdfsU&fmt=18" how to "
  8. cmon people have been saying that for 3 years now, do you really think its gonna happen?
  9. for some reason it looks really short. Looks really good though good colour scheme. Hope it rides as well as it looks
  10. The reason its so light is cause of several things. I save about 500 grams by cutting the studs off my rear tire, i saw anything i dont use off (disc tabs, cable holders, bash plate mounts, etc) everything is titanium except the chain, I have no front brake, no bash plate or bash plate mount, and bmx stuff is lighter than trials stuff these days. My front tire does not have mass. I merge stuff usually i don't really care what its desined any part that has the geo I want and strength/weight ratio I like I will use. The fork is awesome its a viz urban fork, its not heavy its the same weight as a 20" zoo fork, but a lot stronger and less rake.
  11. Sheck it!! its pretty awesome by far my favourite bike. The geo is perfect. The weight is really good considering I used lots of tank parts on it. The bike is ridiculously strong. Pretty much everything on it is ti or alu.
  12. well the clynnders are definetly not slipping in the frame. Its really weird. You know how when their is air in your system their is a gap when you push the lever then suddenly the pads move and their is resistance on the lever? It doesn't feel like that, it feels like the cylinders are sliding back in the mounts but I am sure they aren't. I bleed the brake today an hour ago. I didn't change any of the hoses though, just put in new fluid. I am not 100% sure they aren't leaking. O wait you were right. I tightened the tpa all the way and squeezed the lever super hard. the right slave is leaking on the crossover. I tightened the nut really hard and it doesn't seem to be leaking anymore even when i push the lever very hard. Should I bother to replace anything or just rebleed the brake and assume it will be ok? The brake is very new and I would have assuemd they made it tight enough when i bought it, but maybe not.
  13. are you sure you didn't snap it 5 months ago and its been hanging on by a string and the string just recently gave out? Its pretty crazy that both legs broke off.
  14. Ok I know their has been a thread on this and ironically i started reading it and figured it would never happen and decided not to finish. I tried searching for it but their are a billion threads on hs-33s and i cant remember the title.. anyways... i push down on the lever and each time i push the lever has to be pushed down slightly furthur before the brakes engage. Its the one where you have to keep tightening the tpa. Using my excellent power of deduction I concluded either fluid is leaking, or air is somehow getting in. Since I can't see any fluid leaking I am guessing its something to do with the tpa cause people say not to use it, and the problem originated from having the tpa pushed out pretty far. Anyways, what is the problem and remedy? can i just switch master cylinders? Any help is apprectiated thanks!
  15. I have 24" viz rims. They are really good quality rims, when I laced them its one of the very very few rims that was perfectly straight, I didn't even have to tru it. I don't know why you wouldn't want them, the flower holes are impossible to see if you use the same colour rim tape as the rim. They don't make them in flouro colours though. When you say coloured u want flouro right? Biketrialstation sells them in a lot of colours
  16. that was ridiculously awesome. Great riding, great editing. 4:02 could have been such a bad crash. Only thing I say is you need a cameraman.
  17. I am talking about rear ones. 370 compared to 1000. I think it is stupid that my rear tire weighs more than my entire rear wheel. On a mod trials bike you have good selection and super high quality lightweight parts for everything except tires. Tires are really important someone should make good ones! I mean they got sl for everything. Now they just need sl tires. the key to saving real weight on your bike is to cut weight in all areas. If you take 200 grams off your fork it will be paper thin and snap in 1 second. If you take 10 grams off each component on your bike it doesnt make a difference in strength and cuts off a huge amount of weight overall.
  18. khe tires are pure garbage though, my firend tore the sidewall just inflating the tire they are half the weight of a regular folding bmx tire. I guess a folding mod tire would be for street riding. The lightest rear tire though is 1000 grams. Their are 2.3 bmx tires that weigh 500 grams and are decently strong. I would be happy if they could make a 800 gram folding tire.
  19. Why is their not yet a folding 19" tire? People do rediculous things to save weight and spend so much money me being one of them. A folding mod tire would save over 100 grams. Someone needs to make folding creepys, and echos. This would be the easiest way to save a huge amount of weight without any side effects. I would pay 100$ for a folding echo tire. I paid 60$ for titanium bolts and they didn't save 1/4 as much weight as folding tires would.
  20. I just buy everything from biketrialstation they sell all viz produts. For 100 titanium spokes it will proabaly cost 10$. I guess I will pass on them though. I really dont like the idea of spokes breaking especially when i have a rear freewheel.
  21. I am considering buying titanium spokes. From my experience my titanium spindle is just as strong as a steel one but a lot lighter, same with all other titanium parts I have used however spokes are different because they take tensile strength. I notice viz sells titanium spokes in mod lengths. Anyone know anything about them?
  22. the results.... i decided to saw it with a hacksaw. The first side turned out fine, its easier to saw than aluminum just the blade sticks sometimes. The second side splintered cause i sawed 9/10 through then just broke the remaining piece off. I filed the burr it left and it looks the same as the first side. Carbon fibre seems more close to metal to me than like a wood material with grains and stuff. It seems like i can just file it to whatever shape i want. I am overall glad i did it. Now my fancy red magura mounts are more visable, the booster is slightly lighter, the bolts are shorter/lighter, and its mechanically easier to maintain and gives the same amount of brake power.
  23. I have a 4 bolt booster made of carbon fibre. Instead of buying a 2 bolt I have decided just to saw the 4 bolt. Is it ok to cut carbon fibre or will it frey and stuff? I am doing this just to save weight lol mainly because I can use some short ti bolts. I could just use them with the 4 bolt but then they would be a pain to adjust.
  24. I actually tried reversing them for a while. I think of my rear brake as the dominant one and if your right handed it makes sense to have it on that side I guess.
