Hi Craig, - 6th, results.dropped a place on Sunday after coming 5th on Saturday, think it was shock - did not think I would ever tie with Benito on points, lost out on most cleans. It was the most intense natural comp I have ever ridden in, so many many people watching. did not know that so many French people knew my name, the support was amazing. Ben.

Bringing some Hydroxx back from KOXX DAYS, should have a U.K. retail price set in a few days. It comes in every brake combo possible - 1 disc, 2 discs - no discs, disc back HS33 front even if you want. Should have a top rider on one for the 1st British Championship round at Bracken rocks. Ben.

I ride 5 different areas around Porthcawl , does no good to keep bashing away at the same old rocks. Its a great place to train, moving to Cardiff has paid off as far as riding is concerned, there are lines that I could do once in 30 goes last year that I can make 1st attempt. Ben.

I used a set of TRY ALL 7075 cages for the 1st time at Sundays Trial. It was very wet and slippery, required a lot of pedal work, in those conditions I can wipe out a pair of VP cages. I was surprised that the 7075's showed little sign of wear, one problem, they are probably expensive (mine were free issue) but they could save money in the long run. As for "pins" - I train with Wellgo as I try not to put pedal in unless I have to, but on Sunday it would have been nice to go clean, so on with the VP's. Ben.

OK - residue on rim problems, I never was my breaking surface clean I grind it clean; White spirit - don't use that - leaves slippery residue. Washing up liquids - have slippy sheen enhancers to make mums washing up look good! The more expensive the product the worse it is. Give your rim a scrub with traffic film remover or wipe over with a solvent like acetone or cellulose thinners and re-grind. Ben.

I tend to use long cranks on a mod (175), but the longer they are the more they collide with rocks etc when in sections. The most popular mod option, from bikes sold, is 165. Ben.

I've developed Alzheimer's, but I can't remember grinding my rim.............................................................................. Seriously if there are health hazards associated with grinding some rims then we should know about it. Facts please, Ben.
