Dave,
Yes I'll help build sections.
That date looks good.
We don't have anything on that weekend.
The only thing I can see on that weekend is a club trial down south on the sunday so the Monday should be good for entries.
Dave
Any chance of a third route. Adam would love to ride but I think a second route would be too hard.
Dates permitting we'll be up for all the events your running and we'll come and help with setting out and observing etc.
I'm 42 and get out on my trials bike now and again. First rode a comp on a bicyle when I was 12 in 1981 and never lost interest for it after all these years.
I bought the latest one to try and keep up with my son but at 9 years old he is kicking my arse bigtime.
Still keeps me a bit fit though
One idea is to get the disk hot by riding around with the brakes on or finding a steep hill and go down with the brakes on slightly and then put cold clean water on so they steam and this burns the crap off. It works great on the motorbike and you regularly see the top motorbike trials riders doing this in the paddock at big events.
It gives them some bite
And also the EBU European Championships in Sweden which is where I'll be with my son Adam.
It's a shame it clashes as we would of loved to attend.
We need to sort a team ride somewhere Adam!
I might be at Lee Quarry on sunday if your about.
Dave Bradley has asked me to start a topic regarding the 1st round on the EBU European Cup that is to be held at Torredembarra near Tarragona on the 12th March.
You'll need a BIU licence from Dave at a cost of £15 and forms can be downloaded from the Essex Bike Trial website www.ebtc.net
The details of the event are on the Eurobiketrial.com website
I have sent an enquiry to the organisers to see if individual entries are accepted or whether a list from the UK team manager is required.
Adam is riding and as far as I know Scott Wilson is also.
Anyone else going to make the trip?
Sounds great. Shame it's the same weekend as round 1 of biu worlds in Czech republic and uci youth world games in Belgium. That will mean a few good uk riders will be missing from both a good festival and will mess up their British championship campaign.
