    Helicoil Kit

    meant to say m5 not 25 but...yes
  4. I need to helicoil my 4bolt mounts. I take it the thread size is m5, but what length inserts should i use? would this be alright?
  5. myself and matt hart are doing a bit of a ride in hatfield (uni of herts area) on xmas eve. anyone else fancy a peddle?
  6. any chance of a photo of the hub from above (also any markings on the hub)? If I am not mistaken than looks like one of the old onza oem hubs which weren't actually intended for trials use. If so it may just be a simple matter of replacing some broken pawls or springs which takes minimal effort
  7. the best frame is the one your riding! my best riding is always done on the bike i am on at the time. If you are looking for a new frame then it is worth working out what it is about your last frame you dont like. If you are new to trials decide on what sort of trials you wanna do and then go on some rides with people and try out their bikes.
  8. never used deore but i have tried last years xt and slx and they were both superb
  9. i run 60 front and 40 rear mostly. I let a bit out for natural
  10. this is exactly the difference that is causing you all the problem (the very problem that ali said how to fix) and I have seen this loads of times before (though normally on steel frames cause the dropouts are often thinner). If you are using a qr or allen key bolt axle and the axle extends even slightly past the edge of the dropout you are not clamping the wheel to the frame when you tighten it you are clamping the bolt or qr to the axle and nothing more, hence your wheel will move. On the other hand a hope has a female axle, the more you tighten the shorter the axle gets. No matter how thin the dropout is the axle will always bottom out on the frame not itself. Thus a pro 2 will hold and a lot of other hubs wont. As has already been said adding a spacer between the hub and the dropout or filing a small bit off the edge of the axle will solve the problem and there is no need to make removing your wheel a bitch!
  11. hey, i am writing a short article for an online paper and i need a couple of videos to show. what i am looking for is something with a few clips of mile end, especially on queen mary campus but would be happy for things with victoria park or areas around there as well. the videos can be trials, bmx, skate or any other urban sports. cheers for any help

  16. ali if you want a lift you can come with me for free
  17. the limey 2 was longer than 1085, my one measured up at 1100mm, +72, 380 if i remember correctly
  18. I had this a lot when I was a halfords mechanic, it's normally because the arms are shit and are not straight so when you tighten up the pads max out their free movement and are still toed in. There is a way to solve it but it depends on the actual set up you have. any chance of a couple of pics?
  19. Haven't quite decided location yet. Anyone got any suggestions?
  20. Anyone up for london this sunday? I will be out with some others and although I cant do any proper riding because of injury I will be filming
  21. I live in south london but ride all over. Give me a shout (07515533868). Also Hoots, Chai, Rago Muffin and a couple of others off here are london locals
  22. Without a doubt Rankin is an ultimate smooth rider. Not sure about Toby though, he is an amazing rider and smooth most of the time but I have heard some noises coming from his bike I would never hear from Tom's
  23. Yeah, would be fine but a v brake setup is quite often better. Also (although i only have that crappy pic to go on) it does not look that cheap a setup
