  9. i have a simlar problem also my question is..... is it better to have the removable side of the bb sticking out or the side which forms the main part of the bb, i sidehop to the left so was thinking to have the right side slightly outwards to protect the threads on the left (because they will be fully inside the shell) is this a good idea or should the main body of the bb be fully wound it? thanks

    Bolt Question

ive already drilled so that the bolt thread goes through no problem its the bolt head i am having issues with
  12. so im fitting neon adaptors onto my gu frame found that the bolt size on the neon adapters is thinner than the threads on my four bolt mounts cant put a fatter thread in because the head of the bolt wont sink into the neon mount allowing it to tighten fully any advice? i thought about trying to get hold of a bolt which has a fatter thread but smaller head the fatter thread bolt i have is a 5mm allen key bolt and the thinner one is a 4mm allen key bolt is it possible to get a combination of the two (if you get what i mean) or should i drill out the neon mount to fit the head of the bolt, but i am reluctant to do this because there doesnt seem much material remaing and also it may make it weaker its giving me a headache even thinking about it any help would be greatly appreciated
  13. update ive measured the bb its 113mm worth buying a 128 mm one and see if that solves my problems?

  16. maybe another set of cranks with a smaller chainring might be the only solution then but this guy seems to be running a simlar set up http://i847.photobucket.com/albums/ab32/mrmad4uk69/ac7d38fe.jpg
  17. not sure what length to be honest what is a suitable length thanks
  18. ive just started building up my new gu frame put the cranks on and two problems: 1. the chainring does not spin because it is too close to the chainstay 2. without the chainring on the top of the crank arm clips the tube which the brake is mounted to i run truvative husslefelt cranks with a 22t ring and bash im relucatant to change my cranks and also my chainring size so i am hoping maybe somebody could recommend mabe a bottom bracket alternative which will solve the problem thanks

  21. recently got my ideal set up for a v brake avid sd7 tnn pads echo booster but somthing is happening that i dont understand the arms are able to move back and fourth on the lugs all the bolts are tight and the booster does not wobble threads are also fine on the lugs i dont know what to do but as you can imagine this sligh bit of "play" makes a noise as the arm taps and also a slight bit of movement within the brake which is the last thing i want how can i solve this thanks
