I did my first competition a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it but couldn't help notice that everyone was wearing some riding type shorts and some trials shoes. Now what are you views on these? Do they aid performance etc? Any that you people could reccomend?

It is at Lumb lane, called lumbush(not far from the common). The trial is on the 11th but I am afraid it is not open for practising but come and watch it will be good!!!

Ahhh I'd love to come but am busy on saturday, might be possible at night though but will be pushing it and on sunday I may be setting out the local motorbike trial for the week after but i'll find out exactly what is happening.

I have tryed quite a few, but to me by far the best gloves are troy lee design xc gloves, they are fantastic. You can pick a pair up from CRC.

Well I found that you can't beat a try-all tyre for the front on mod for them being so amazingly grippy and bouncy, and for the rear monty tyres seem very popular, but now I have just thought this info isn't much use to you. Get yourself a set of maxxis on a budget
