When you pull the brake the pistons come out and hit the rim, But because your frame isn't stiff enough it pushes the seatstays out, This will effect the hold of your brake so it will slip. The best thing to do is get a nice stiff booster, 4-bolt will do the job perfectley, Anyone should be fine, Echo, Adamant, Gu ect. Id try and get hold of one as soon as possible other wise your frames going to produce a crack on either a weld on the seat stay or a brake mount.

Both have there strengths and weaknesses i guess, Echo brakes have smaller slaves which means you wont clip your ankles, But you may not be able to use your pads to there full extent as you wont be able to push the slaves in further. Magura have bigger slaves so you may catch your ankles more but you can use your pads to there full extent. Theres not really much point in paying more money for the echo brake is just a gloryfied magura. Also the echo brakes used to leak with a water bleed, And some people said stuff about the metal being eaten and stuff.

Yeah the koxx xtps are light. But the strength will all depend on your riding style and how you ride, If your more of a comp rider then i would reccomend you getting one, But if your a street rider and still smooth then yeah still get one, But if your an all out street basher then dont go there you will be better off gettin a deng frame like adamant,zoo, echo ect.

Get magura with the Evo2 Mounts, Usually when you buy a new magura youl get the Evo2 mounts free, And i thought they were fine when i used them on my onza. You just dont have as much adjustment as you do with the 4-bolt mounts. If i was you i would get the Magura, Use the Evo2 mounts for a while and save up for a frame dedicated to four bolt mounts. Plus with a magura you have more pad choice.

Just Echoing ( ba boom Tshh) What everyone else has said. Drilled rims are fine strength wise, Apart from echo 06 rims which were terrible for snapping. Echo 07 are tough as old boots. Thing you want to look for is how well rims hold a grind. Echo 07 are great for strength and amazing at holding grinds. Try-all rims are fine in strength but not so great at holding a grind, So when you grind it more you going to loose strength.

I think it just got old, more effective frame geo's got created by new companys, everything got shunted by onza and zoo? new riders came along, Vince hermance, Coustelliers, watson, Tunni, Cls. new talent, there all still about just not as popular anymore. Im probably wrong though

Can any of you actually justify that Zoo is better?

Hey, Adamant, Zoo, Echo, Gu and Czar are all made by the same bloke, Deng. But the Geo's are totally different which means there going to ride different. Other people prefer different geo's so whilst there saying get this frame, its because they like it, But its entirely up to you, if it was me i wouldn't go rushing into buying a frame because someone sais that they are good or what not, If i were you id get on a few rides and most people are generally alright and will let you have a blast on there bikes. Do that and ride a few then your ready to make a decission. Hope this has helped.
