Just had a look at the new Speedrace FANS 26" frame on tarty and its actually perfect.
For me the geo looks sweet, and in black it looks super nice.

Obviousley there arnt going to be any reviews around as of yet as there so new, but from the more strucurally minded of you out there.... what are your thoughts in terms of strength, weak points etc.

That V lever looks suspiciousley* like a cheepo Bikehut one from halfords...?
If it is, pleeeease change it.
On a happier note, the bike looks awesome. Easily one of the best iv seen

Hey guys, have recently started considering entering afew comps again.
But im not really wanting to enter lighweight XC races, and im not sure my bike will cope with a full on DH race
Anyone know of any All mountain/trail orientated comps?
And if so where are they, dont really want to travel too far...
cheers

For all those complaining about the money still ending up in sony and therefore simon's pocket anyway
And to the people not really seeing the point, this article really sums up what is trying to be achived here and why this really is a good cause

I could watch savage ride all day. Its all just so textbook and effortless.

Or if you've got the money viz forks. Love me stock ones.
Word. Viz! forks are sweet, i love mine
On the SL front, i was riding with a Ben Johnson in west bay who had only had his SL's for a number of weeks and doesn't do alot of moves to front.
He decided to begin learning hooks and after 5 or 6 attempts the forks snapped clean in half on one side.
Seriously, they are made of cheese.
PM Ben, he'l probs send you the pics if you ask nicely

It doesnt work, if you have any rubber detailing on your gloves that catch on them, and they will split if used on the outside (they're not that tough)
The whole idea of having them on the inside is just to keep your hands warm, that fact that any sweat you build up is stuck there aids the warmth. And if anyone doesnt like the idea of having horrible sweaty hands all day then just take 3 or 4 pairs with you.
Riding gloves are designed to be tough, grippy and protective, let them do their job, and let these keep you warm

I had a set of blue ZOO! bars and they creaked for a couple of months and then snapped off right at the stem.
Id save yourself the potential for misery, pain or injury and just get some new bars.

What you need are some surgical gloves like these
You can get them from internet retailers for bugger all and they are awesome!
Completly wind proof and water proof
All you do is put them on underneath your current gloves, and then, you still get the advantage of the feel of a thin glove, and more warmth than a winter glove that lacks feel.
I learnt this technique when i used to race downhill and some guy from the silverfish/cove team showed me

It is a repost, but god its good

Huh, you ride your brakes European/American (rear brake with the right lever, front brake with the left)
Any particular reason?

I saw one of these at Koxx days and literally* went light headed and weak at the knees!
In the flesh, as a full build they are just gorgeous

I dont do any weights or gym work specificly for trials. I have 3gym sessions a week with my college course so I tend to do abs work, free waights and benchpress.
After recently getting a new all mountain/trail off road bike im clocking up anywhere between 20-40miles a week on the Quontock hills which is really improving my cardio
Besides from that, I just ride my trials bike
oh, and the mrs

Fed up of Simon Cowell's latest karaoke act being Christmas No.1?
Me too... So who's up for a mass-purchase of the track 'KILLING IN THE NAME' from December 13th (DON'T BUY IT YET!) as a protest to the X-Factor monotony?
(Taken from frontpage)
Need to draw maximum attention to this

Tar barrels.
Damn right, organised new years celebrations dont get much crazier than the tar barrels!

My mum has beaten breast cancer.
I dont care how crap college has been at times, arguments with the mrs, little fall outs with mates or the bikes having issues.
My mum has beaten breast cancer
and that has made 2009, amazing.
edit: aah crap and now im shedding a tear...

I ran over a kitten in a tight country lane about 3months back.
Felt bad for a total of around 10secs, before i realised it would only grow up to be a cat.

If I were to stay in the UK, I can't see myself ever moving from the South West. Through the summer there's nowhere else I'd want to be - sun out, roll out of bed onto the beach. Swim home, go for a ride at one of the infinitely many amazing spots this way. Back for a BBQ on the beach into the night before a night out in an abundance of places with great nightlife where I'm not going to get shot/stabbed like anyone north of the M4.
I knew i could rely on a quality post from you or Rich to back me up brotha'
