  1. The basis of all our trials joy! When you 'kick' the cranks to propel intro motion.. what do you call it? Like when you 'peck' or hop forward without the cranking action. So i'm wondering whats the biggest sidehop, both up and across, without that? I suspect it's significantly less and therefore would like to see the best contenders! I'd probably be just as impressed if someone did an unusually large one of those..
  2. Wow! what an awsome video gage-man uploaded. Stuffed full of smooth big lines.. Seriously though.. Great vid! I wonder whats the biggest side hop with 'cranking'
  3. Don't go.. I think your'e doing a good thing spreading the weed and sparking conversation. ( ) And you know it doesnt matter if people believe you.. like ghandi said.. Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is still the truth. Now wheres that ganja 'erb emoticon..?!
  4. I actually agree with most things you've been saying.. I just ramble loads because i'm un-employed.
  5. Maybe try finding a nice hippy girl who'll make you some cakes?! Or cannabutter? I do think smoking it is the strongest way to affect your brain function.. which is what most of us had problems with?! As for my ridiculous comments about it not being any 'safer' than alcohol.. well they were ridiculous and i was just playing devils advocate because i know iv'e avoided responsibilities sometimes whilst high and been a total f'kin hero other times whilst drunk! I think its probably more likely that (some) alcohol just makes you abit stupid! And i'm pretty sure it doesnt have many cell healing qualities. But its obvious.. Weed/Hemp/oil/hash/t-shirts with big ganja leafs on them.. It's all for the win! I'll stop with my useless contributions and ask if anyone has much information on the actual biological process that ocurrs in the process of this healing? I'd be very interested to read more about it. +1 for would definitely be happier to try hemp oils/remedies before any prescribtion tablets/radiotherapy etc!! Anyone else?
  6. I can sort the price out.. It's just wether it's going to feel like stabbing a really nice piece of wood with a really good knife?! It's going on a pashley mhz.. I feel like i need as quick and solid an engagement as possible to make up for the tentpole chainstays I've got to say.. I'm very tempted to try one!
  7. Hate to do it but i'm going to have to be that really annoying chap for a minute.. It is absolutely no safer than drinking alcohol.. In terms of 'social safety' as we're discussing. Imagine that it is due to some lovely chap being a little drunk that he manages to find the courage to tackle a horrible person doing something shitty in the streets, whereas maybe the same guy whos had a bit of a smoke and is passing the same incident a little paranoid or 'out of the moment' or something and does not choose to do anything. subsequently the shitty thing either happens or doesnt and may result in something 'not safe'. The question i'd have to ask is that it's safer for who? On the other hand there are thousands of people drunk as garden gnome; who laugh and shout the days away and something really shitty in society gets overlooked and un-noticed and results in something that is 'unsafe' for many people, including our smoker/drinker. However, him/her being a smoker has spent many hours 'out the box' contemplating things and generating a quiter more compassionate life and is lead to actively tackle this (hypothetical) problem and creates a result which prevents the 'unsafe' event/outcome arising. Same could be said for a smoker i suppose?! Remember these are both drugs, which change our state of reference/thinking/being and can result in many things, even overlapping to create the same 'positives' or 'negatives' as the other! EDIT: I'm obviously talking about smoking bud. My points are in reference to the negative aspects of inhaling the smoke.. which is done so the drug reaches the brain, thus affecting mental aspects of a person. As for the drunken twat going round smashing people in the face that you describe.. I actually have a broken skull right now. 3 fractures to zygoma and orbital and a 'shifted' cheekbone nearly 3mm from just one (MASSIVE! ) and quite un-provoked 'smash to the face' from one (presumably) drunken young man. Gotta say, i'd had a few myself and was having a good laugh with a few friends. I don't think he quite agreed with the notion of a good time and obviously felt an uncontrollable need to end the enjoyment right there and then. Gotta say i wish he'd stayed at home and rolled up a fat one that night! On the flip side, iv'e felt just as upset with people in my life for smoking to much weed and turning into soggy little fajitas and at some points wouldv'e loved to see them get up and have abit of a tussle! Or at least pause the x-box to wipe the dribble from their chin. EDIT: I have friends who do just ingest the substance, and they say, and i'd agree, it's a much less intense 'high' and they enjoy that more. As for oils as skin treatment.. that's actually quite new to me but i wouldnt put it past the little miracle plant But even so, i guess i'm trying to say that everything has it's place. I'm just trying to say let's not make a case for something by de-grading somehting else. The video doesnt mention alcohol? Although i might agree there are surely many more health benefits surrounding the plant than there is alcohol. But also.. which kind? I personally think wine is rather fine and i like to believe it's juicey nature does something good for me! I agree with what you've said here about it sometimes becoming abit of a 'definition' of an individual. I think the majority of cases when someone goes to far with it and forgets the balance they tend to literally 'go too far' and get ill/anxious/depressed etc- a bodily sign that you should probably go for a walk or get a road bike! (A) I think in these cases, just as if it was too far with drink, you'd hope their close friends would be their to support them and help them find a better path. In some cases it's very difficult and i totally understand that. But i truly believe in fresh air and good excersize! I have absolutely nothing against your personal position towards the anything, i'm just adding to your discussion! Infact i think we agreed? Not sure.. I'm also just typing I do agree, (smoking) strong weed is not for the faint hearted! And like with drinking.. takes a while to build a tolerance! I don't think many people would disagree that your'e far more likely to get agressive when drunk than stoned. You've really seen more sober violence than drunken>? Woah. Sheffields got issues! I think it's pretty common to associate violence and drunkeness. As i was in hospital holding my broken face the other week, there was a chap sat across from me, blatantly drunk, with a broken hand.. obviously punched something? I'm not saying you're wrong but i think its a common connection! And alot less common than with the stereotypical stoner making physcodelic dub in between chapters of 'The Aquarian conspriacy'.. Anyway, i say if you've not smoked (or rubbed in) enough to realise the benefits of marajuwana, you cant really say much. If youve smoked too much and gone abit far; you know the dangers. If you've never drank enough to make an absolute tit of yourself, spouting pure verbs and dancing/fighting till youre asleep in a pile of your own sick and blood, you probably havnt seen the immeasurable benefits of these such states either? If you've never drank just the right amount to feel confident and pleasant in a situation, you cant dicatate to someone else that they hav'nt either. It's just a ride. What matters is that you don't pay to get on and that you don't mind when you gotta get off. (Even weed won't make you live forever) P.s; I hardly smoke much these days.. And when i do i like to roll 'One spliff' and make it last :wink2: Few tokes at a time. Ain't no rush. Excuse me while i light my.. Oh lord i got to take a.. EDIT: Remember when you smoke it youre doing it to affect you brain/mind/consciousness This is not the way the video is talking about how it helps with bodily cells. Sorry if i sound like i'm stating any truths. It's all speculation. Maybe the hypothetic stoned guy is really a secret ninja and kicked that nasty chap square in the chops! Although i do declare it's impossible to read a book drunk! EDIT: Edited many times because i don't know what i'm talking about
  8. I wonder what the biggest hop to the side is? In terms of distance, sideways.. Anyone got any biggies? I'd say 180's and '0's' (?) should be classed seperately as 180's are obviously easier!
  9. That curb got GETted? Yeah! I just watched it again. And again. And again i thought.. Yeah!
  10. Hang those little piggies Top skills Ben. Total stuntsman!
  11. How strange! Firstly, Iv'e only just started signing back in here and earlier today i was reading some comments i made in a topic regarding marijuana about 8 years ago! Secondly, Jolfa.. i was thinking about you today and was about to contact you on facebook to see if you were around! Obviously i have some issues with my Golf and am too lazy to read the haze manual.. And don't use Facebook because im scared of uncle sam and his infinite army of demon-babies. My opinion on the subject of discussion is that anything that helps you to relax you enough (physically and mentally) to allow the systems of the body to work properly; as in to let the flow of energy (In breathe. Also known as 'qi' or 'essential energy etc..) travel in, around and out of the body completely and naturally, un-obstructed by tension ( of the body or mind) could be of use in 'correcting' mutatations of the bodies cells and dna structures. It's not unknown that there is a natural connection between thc and the corresponding receptors in the human body(brain) and the union can instill and almost 'override' the minds 'control' of thought; in the way of intentional or 'pre-concieved' thought as we usually use it. 'Forcing' it (the mind), (through the body-brains chemical state - which now involves thc etc..), into a more 'relaxed' or natural, infinite state or 'ressonance', which in turn brings the body into a more relaxed state.. bringing the mind into a more relaxed state.. bringing the body into a more relaxed state.. ad infinitum! Ala meditation.. However, this state can oppose and come into confrontation with our usual sense of existance as being seperate and finite. Resulting in paranoia/confusion and leading to very upsetting instances of dis-association/depression etc in individuals as their notions of reality/normality are shaken and confronted by the infinite. I too have felt the extremes of paranoia/confusion/dissattatchment/questioning, arguably resulting from the (perpetual) use of marijuana. I experienced a severe confrontation with my sense of reality which resulted in severe confusion/paranoia and im not ashamed to admit, depression. After seeking answers to the questions that plagued me at the time i now realise the issues i had are just as confusing/complicated/real and relevant wether i came to them 'stoned' or sober' and has lead me towards a much more 'spiritual' understanding of my life. It's not un-known that marijuana can provoke such thoughts in some individuals depending on their exisitng dis-position. Some people just get the giggles But that depends on what you've bought/ been given. I personally think the perpetual 'instance' or 'enviroment' that people are forced to take the drug in do not help create a liberating path, in that you are usually forced into seclusion and repetition if you like to take the drug. You may have your friends around, but eventually they can even become part of the box. I truly believe there are massive social factors involved in the negative cases we discuss. Which i'd argue arent that positive even if you removed the drug from the equation. I personally no longer see weed as the 'crazy colour goddess' 'bringer of 'inter-dimensional knowledge' or whatever; like i did as a teenager.. But i do remember that at the time, in my particular state of mind and from that particular point of view it seemed to allow me to expand the horizons of my mind, in terms of ideas, thoughts and perceptions; a state which i now believe to be totally achievable without the use of any substances whatsoever. As for it 'curing' cancer. I'm not sure that it does. Not physically/chemically, totally - everytime in every person. I have an understanding that cancer is a mutation of cells caused (naturally) by matter which does not recieve it's proper ( or prior?!) enviroment (as such) and that if its possible to 'undo' it is through the proper flow of q' through the body, 'correcting' the dna. I'm not saying i'm right, but thats sort of how i look at it. Sort of like 'mutated' cells through evolution caused by a change in enviroment. I'm rubbish at science so maybe someone could add something more factual about what we know about how cancer forms?! My ideas are purely speculation most likely hindered massively by the fact that i do speculate. Somethng to add is that there are thousands of types of marijuana, all with distinct qualities. Most of whats on the street, or at least was for the last decade was horrificly strong and im-balanced.. cultivated to have certain, more desirable qualities such as making you 'mong the f**k out!' (although as said before, it's more about what you choose to engage your mind in i think) If only it wasn't illegal. simply because there's not much involved with it's production and it makes you ignore/laugh at beyonce spears girating boobies. It's important to note that it might not just be about taxing a specific thing, it's also about collecting taxes throughout an entire production line. Anyway, if nothing else.. weed makes you sidehop 'higher' :ninja:
  12. Monkey do.. can i ask why you wouldn't trust the design? I'm just curious. I agree that it looks like a more sunstantial design than the mini cassette; which was a very popular choice for mod riders for a time.. I was hoping for feedback from people who've used them. Im very tempted to set one up on my 26mhz revival build Swill.. I'll obviously be servicing the bike regulalry and replacing pawls if/when needed! Cheers for the pic martin.. looks unusual.. like a 3-in-1 type pawl. with 6 of them!? Interesting, i wonder which 'notches' would actually pick up at any time..seems like a tough equation. Hmm maybe i should just try one and see. Monkey-do i'd appreciate your ideas as to why they wouldn't be any good! Are you thinking it'd be a weak engagement because it's finer teeth on the pawls or something? EDIT: Thats weird.. the picture you've uploaded shows those strange pawls but looking further on the profile site shows single 'toothed' pawls.. click on the driver/ ring image.. Also.. hub spares show normal style pawls for Elites. ( And the price! ) So what are those pawls^^?! I think the standard pawls would be more reliable.. they seem much sharper!
  13. Hey guys, Just interested to see if anyone uses these.. Iv'e always trusted profile quality just interested to see if theres been any issues with skipping etc. 204 e.p's (effectively.. I'd imagine it's an offset pawl design?) What's your experience with these hubs? http://www.profileracing.com/estore/product.php?productId=408 Sharn.

So yeah... here she is. I wanted it to look kind of how the old Mhz used to look in relation to the wheels... bit more like an actual bike! Really chuffed with it, rides smooth and i can still ride ramps 1045, +25, long headtube, long seat tube, spanish b.b Running two gear ratios 22:16 for the usual hoppy bits and 22:12 for the parks Kings Ultimates WTP royal 3pc with old school dmr bash NS district bars whatya think?

Just wondering what stem to buy for my new ride, quite fancied the hope one but the DH version is 31.8 only! Anybody using the xc version? Was looking at a 90mm 10' . It looks like a pretty well made piece of work and i trust hope so im sure it is fine, just thought id see if anyones got owt to say about it before i throw 60quid away! Cheers, Sharn.
  24. Cheers for that chaps! Yeah i would go smaller but its hard to find something good for a 3pc. And also i like the look of a bigger cog, little ones look weird to me! Should still be small enough to land on okay i rekon? Cant wait!
  25. Im planning on building up a streety 24, coming back at it from bmxing im looking for something inbetween. Thinking of runnin an odyssey million dollar sprocket on a 3pc. Its 25t so what would i need on the rear for somehting a little stiffer than usual? Maybe the equivelant to 22-16 or something? Cheers
