  1. Does anybody know what ryan is landing on at 1:18 in Kranked??! Ive never noticed this! Did he really drop that? Thats pretty wild. There has got to be a 20ft ball pit under there or something? Or maybe his front sus soaked up the impact? Someone please shed some light?
  2. Really enjoyed that mate! Quality edit and nice to see some soggy woodland riding Some lovely colours in there.. Nice work at 2:54! Keep it up lad, you got good skills
  3. i have to say that what i just saw there, the front hops along the rails, was the best thing i have ever seen done on a trials bike. Edit: maybe it's on a par with ashtons chainstay picks to back wheel Great video, really got me inspired as i start riding again.. thanks! I'm just amazed by that line. What a legend.
  4. How does he do that? Ben.. your riding is truly becoming your art. A real pleasure to watch you upon those wheels sir. Them steps got ghetted. True
  5. Good morning! Great video.. Really smooth edit and a classic cool tune! That accompanied my marmite and egg toastie just nicely Really nice colour tone to the footage, whats the camera? Lovely mix of dolly/static/wide shots too. 1.09 Double bump?! Aaahriight. Really enjoyed that, thanks for posting!
  6. The 609 'Bump'.. How did that headtube concept feel to ride? Always thought it was a nice idea, but never ridden one. Thats my fav for looks. Bet that Diamonback rode so well.. What a spiffing collection! Which ones do you still have?!
  7. Oooh yesh! Thats looking lovely. Though i do agree.. You need these chemical risers! (ANd a 100mm stem ) I have brought them back to Nottingham with me and am now firmly in the shire for at least the next two weeks! Where abouts in Notts? I'm in Long eaton. We could meet up for a little ride somewhere and trade metals? Those bar ends set it right off..
  8. I meant in relation to this bike and todays 'standard' Where by i see people who are 5'9 riding HUUUGE bikes... even this relatively 'Big' set up ive got on my Pashley should feel pretty sweet to most. I'd imagine?! Anyway, i totally agree.. Low b.b = low/mid f.e. High f.e and low b.b feels awful! And i feel with the relatively long r.e the Pashley suits a pretty lengthy stem.. but that may just be me and my ape arms I say 100mm minimum. Even if only for the aesthetics
  9. Ive found this set up to really hit the sweet spot.. Im 6'5 though but that shouldnt really matter..
  10. Hey Paul, Looks great man.. nice to see it built up! Though i do agree that a little splash of your chosen colour and that bike will suddenly come to life! Looks very clean and tidy.. Just get a few graphics going! Regarding the bar/stem discussion. I have found that a slightly longer and lower rise stem, with a higher rise bar with backsweep is a very comfortable set up and is also quite nice to look at from above (sounds weird but it always bothers me if it doesnt look right!) Because of the nature of backsweep i recomend adding 10-20mm onto your 'usual' stem length and this results in a very nice balance where you still have the 'cockpit' room to manuvre in static elements of riding but also have the nice lofty feel of a big riser bar when pulling it up and about in taps and hops etc. What i think would be a nice set-up on this would be something like a 100/110mm x 5/10' with a classic riser bar that has up and back sweep. Ive got a nice set of these you are welcome to have.. They're basically new and they are the chrome ones so should suit your bike nicely! Very tough and comfortable bar If you like we can do a part trade with those forks when i see you? 25.4 but you need a longer stem anyway I actually think that first stem you had on looked about right! Seriously.. its all about making up for the height with a big lofty riser.. pulls up easier, keeps the centre of force lower and so more direct to the headtube, gives you more flex in the bar for taking impact and most importantly.. looks loads better! Especially on the pashley Im back in Notts Friday so i'll get in touch about meeting up soon! Nice bike.. Peace
  11. Alriiight! Now thats more like what i imagined when you said dark grey! Looks ace. Im back in Notts next week too so lets hook up for a ride.. Long live the frequency!
  12. Have to say.. I voted grey when Paul told me his list of colours A shade lighter than i imagined but i think that'll look pretty classy when it's built! Just needs one of these! Nice job, looking forward to seeing this finished! Any graphics in mind or are you keeping it clean?

  14. Oh brother, I only mentioned this thought to raise the question.. 'why the increase in cancer?' Nothing at all about what is or isn't the remedy. And i'm still wondering why this might be.. Or maybe it's not the case and as you said these people just didnt get chance? Don't get me angry Funnel or i'll pin you down and force feed you hash brownies when i see you next! I have to say, i think i did miss a few antibiotics during the course, but i managed to get the majority of them in. I think they did help alot too, but the Fucibet cream ( as reccomended by the second doctor) seemed to be the champ to be honest! But what i was really trying to get at with my last post is that we have many more cases of cancer in small children and younger generations these days? I genuinely don't know the facts regarding this but i just presumed that an increase in cell mutation would surely come from 'external' factors? Thus; Enviroment? Do we have 'mutate' written in our natural genetic code? That seems abit of daft thing for us to do.. In terms of survival? Arent TB/ Measels etc all external bacteria type things that infect us and attack our cells. Cancer is the cell itself mutating? Nothing additional like with an infection. I agree, of course they won't. And i agree; the fact the substance is banned for public sale would never stop research being done, but it would stop it being sold to anyone even if it were found to be of any good use. Anyway, good morning everyone! Im listening to hurgy gurdy man. I think this song is helping too..
  15. Don't you understand? It's been made illegal. Companies can not cash in on it. Because it's illegal. Regardless of the benefits, of which their are potentially many, they will never be known socially because of this. Again, i'm not sure that even i, a believer of this plants medicinal value, would state that it has removed or corrected cancerous cells in humans. Mainly because i havn't witnissed it myself. But i for one am willing to stay open about it's possibility and will keep an interest in any new scientific findings regarding the subject. It is interesting to know that cannibis was legal for a very long time, and in the day of its legality it was indeed widely use for it's medicinal properties. Do not forget this. I'm not sure the human genetic structure has changed that much in just over a century so why would it be much different now? It's also interesting to note that cancer was overwhemingly less common in those days too.. It's fame in our day is possibly due more to the enviromental changes; with radiation of electronic waves/satelites etc and geneticly modified foods and sweets/drinks, bad postures/ energy flow etc.. It is entirely possible that these things contribute to our health, as our health is dependant on our enviroment. I think it's key to remember the body exists in a complete attatchment to the natural world. These things do affect us. And our cancers come as a result of our enviroment. There'd be no reason why a young human would develop a life threatening mutation of it's own cells in young age for no apparent reason. I may be wrong, but it does seem a little odd. As far as i'm aware, Cancer is not something that lives independantly and attatches itself to the human cells to reproduce. It is a mutation of those very cells. The (sacred?) structure of a human being has existed for a very long time. Something is causing our cells to mutate. I don't claim to know what that is but i don't believe it's 'natural'. Its also interesting (to me anyway) that in our very make up are many similarities and connections with the plants structures that would also probably not exist for no reason at all. I personally am not a fan of the responses to andy here and think your'e all being abit harsh. Anyway. Iv'e had lovely day after having my small intake of the good stuff Next experiment; Does wine cure boredom? Great topic. Seeking hemp oils online to experiment with skin infection.. One time.
  16. Aaaaaaahwjoooi! Yeah man, loving this! Im currently building one up too, In the classic blue. Looks like a nice set-up. Iv'e found that 120x5, slammed with big risers is actually a pretty sweet spot. I'm tempted to try 130x5. But i am 6ft5.. so it may be a tad too much for others. Running 7 speed with DCD too Gona get a 6 speed hub and make a 'manual' gear arrangement with wide cogs. Can't stand pedaling to spots in 22-17 these days! One of the best looking trials frame ever made. Good luck with it bro. Interested in what you were sayin about putting horzontals on there.. Keep it posted! And i do agree.. needs a slightly longer seat and a decent rear booster. Gotta be the flexiest seatstays around?! Tentpoles! Ride on.
  17. Get a zebdi! Check out that build i posted for you.. Awsome do-it-all machine. Lower forks than what is supposed to be on a frame can be fun for motion riding, but you'll hate it for static trials moves. Seriously, My experience prompts me to reccomend a zebdi with a short travel suspension fork! Wouldn't worry too much about metal fatigue, although it is aluminium, so it WILL die. If you want steel maybe check a pashley/Old norco (very rare)
  18. As your'e obviously desperate for a reply to this notion.. Ill say this purely to contribute and not to express my own opinions; Wouldn't it, from a buisness point of view, be more profitable to have people stay alive, but still be ill and in need of product, rather than fully cured? I'm not suggesting hemp oil is the total cure.. as iv'e said i'm still on the fence with it but like the chap in video said, and i have also witnessed, chemo doesn't really leave people in the best shape either.. does'nt have that great of a success rate and is obviously expensive, especially if it's not overwhemingly successful.. (you do pay; through your taxes) Again, I'm not totally sure what the cure is.. maybe get away from the things that are giving us cancer? Ensuring we are getting all the things our bodies need to function and protect/repair properly itself? Finally if all else fails.. Microwave the fuc*ers? *Skins up* ( I roll pure.. (A) ) Amen. Hah! Not a word im very familiar with..
  19. I personally, am slightly intrigued now.. In terms of hemps skin healing qualities. I'm still not absolutely sure that i'd be confident telling other people it'll cure their cancer, but i certainly don't see why it couldn't be possible over many other substances; as the video says we have incredible connections with this plant and its structures. I have for a while been an admirer of this great plant, mainly only ever having eaten or inhaled the substance for mental effect. However, I have a small patch of sore skin on my ankle, which iv'e been told is a fungul skin infection It's and is about the size of a ten pence piece. Im genuinely intrigued because iv'e had it about 6 months and doc gave me some cream (fucibet?) which has worked to an extent; stopped it getting itchy and has reduced the main centre bit to quite small but has not dissapeared totally! ( It was about size of a 2p at the height of its career) So Andy, on a serious note.. can you get hold of this pure oil legally in shops? In the uk? If so please direct me to a source if you could. I know you can get hemp oil for eating in some healthy nuts and dried bits shops. ( Love a good handful of nuts.. ) It's no where near the same but Maybe i'll try that stuff? Its pretty hempy and olive oil is always good on your skin so.. doubt it's going to be bad? Or the total opposite and totally GIVE me cancer? I know this guys talkin bout pure oil, but i hav'nt got £200 to spend on an ounce to rub on my foot at the minute I'm willing to investigate though! If for nothing but the sake of my efforts earlier in the discussion! I'll try the hemp oil food supp and i shall update in this thread to show my findings. ( I need to buy some more of this anyway.. It's really tasty!) Very interesting video andy, thanks for posting it up. As usual with forum discussions; they tend to spiral into nonsense and so i apologise for my part in that, in my defence.. i was high Obviously most of my comments have been about the mental association with smoking it. I'm still on the fence with it regarding cancer.. but i'm not going to dismiss the idea; even if it doesnt correct the cancer cells, i'm a firm believer in it's many other benefits. Even simply making you sleep well is considered a good thing medically! Your body does alot of healing during sleep/medatitive states. Although i would say ' smoke with caution'.. and use it to relax. As someone mentioned earlier.. It's not really a party drug now is it? 'Get on the table and dance' .. 'No, im trying to get this unicorn to stop crying' 'He's lost his way' 'It's a candle' 'Oh, how rude. Got any muncheeeeze?' On a side note; I had my friends farther, who was a retired GP tell me that MDMA can help with cell and nerve re-building. He quit his practice as he did not agree with the many of the drugs he was having to prescribe to his patients and interestingly he wanted to be able to prescribe people hemp/mdma in some cases and couldn't which frustrated him. Anyway, i'll try this oil on my skin and see what happens! Andy, don't take the skeptisism personally.. ''Losing hope is worse than losing life. Ciao for now.
  20. http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/f7/planet-x-zebdi-750-obo-46328/ Olds-coooool! Look for these older style trials frames.. won't behave too bad with a 80mm forks up front and won't drisrupt head angle /b.b too much. Somethng like these should make a nice 'all-rounder'. By no means will it be considered 'good for trials' by the vast majority though so be sure it's what youre after!
  21. I wouldn't run a shorter fork on a mtb frame just to steepen the headangle to make it more suitable to trials. Your'e not really trying to achieve handling qualities in terms of steering in motion. If you drop the fork length you drop the b.b height which is of more importance to you as a trials rider. I'd say look for an old Planet X Zebdi or something that has steepish h.a already and not too much of a high b.b. Maybe even my personal favourite.. a pashley mhz? Theyre not too bad with a short suspension fork on either. But don't run your'e bar/stem set up too high if you do.. ( Like mr.Norco up there ^) Heres an example with a 80mm fork.. I'd run something like this with a 100< x0/5' With a low/mid riser.. Inspired Hex is a lovely riding frameset! That handles well in motion aswell as for static moves. A longer fork (like a short suspension fork) on that might throw it all out abit too much though if thats what your intentions are? Might get away with an 80mm fork for all round use? ( I may get slaughterd here..) Again, keep the bar/stem down. I think a sidekick is abit too heavy to bother with. I'd get a marino or one of these Jaf customs made up for yourself. Theres not much catering for old school in trials. That norco looks pretty long! Looks abit like those (later) saracen M.A.D things Best of luck with it!
  22. +1 for ashton justice or Hex. Maybe try pick up an old leeson clear 660? I found older, lower b.b bikes feel alot better on the back heel with longer, lower stems and a nice riser handlebar If your'e thinking parks/180's/3's still i'd go 24, much less gyroscopic horribleness when spinning/throwing it about. and you'll lose it all on a 26''. Maybe a longer w.b (1030-1040?) 24 with a 90/100x10/15 stem and risers? Not too much b.b rise , like +20? Wide enough rim for rear wheel stability..
  23. So we shouldn't use them because they sound shit? Like squeeky brake pads?! I'm not that botherd about the sound particularly, more the quality and performance. I ride on my own mostly so it shouldnt offend anyone. They actually sound abit nicer than the old profiles i think.. Bzzzz Certainly got more of a Kingesque pitch to them heh? Maybe it's not worth it.. Maybe i'll just get a hope.
  24. Profile are pretty nice.. they gave me a free hubshell once and fitted it for free. ( It exploded in a fire!) They even changed the bearings.. Has anyone actually used this hub themselves or know of anybody who has? Or could anyone elaborate on why this would be any worse than a hope? I'd imagine the cost is'nt just purely them being greedy? Usually theres a set mark up of around 30-40% of actual material cost on most bicycle products? So it definately costs more to make! I'm not saying that makes it better, but it's hardly like they're completely different designs? Im just really curios, theres many opinions against them but not many reasons It does sound pretty mental. Would definitely make the old dears around jump out of the skin
