  1. i drilled and tapped a new thread for the snail cam bolts on the frame ... i had a small pocket where the old nut was spinning when tightened but i grinded it out and it seems to be fine now .. maybe my hub was just slipping into that pocket
  2. I just got a new hub built up onto a rim but the hub i was using before was one of them onza ones that use 15mm spanner nuts and now i have a hub that uses allenkey fitting it just wont stay still in the frame even when i do a simple pedal kick or anything like that.. The hub I'm using now is a onza fully sealed t-master hub with echo sl washers on the Allen key bolts and Monty snail cams if this helps? Also a T-pro frame if that helps as well?
  3. To stop it you could always cut a bit of a spare grip off and put it between your bottom bracket shell and cranks to create a bit of friction to stop them spinning as you walk. But they also still run smooth when your pedaling and you cant feel the drag.
  4. I suppose you could just walk past them casually and not look at them to attract any attention towards you. Also you could carry a small pen knife just incase you may ever need it ! Better to be safe than sorry.
  5. Basically just buy the magura hose off tartys and also buy 2 olives then take the 8mm spanner nut things off the lever body and slave cylinder then cut the old olives off and slide off the nuts. Then take the new hose on one end and slide on the cover thing that goes over the nut that should be on there then the nut then the olive and hold the hose into the lever body and tighten the nut until it is firmly in there. Then just do exactly the same thing with the other end but attach it to the slave cylinder and then just watch a HS33 water bleed tutorial and all shall be fine. Also the olives come in a pair so only add it once to the cart , hence the (2)
  6. Echo urban smooth rim with the heatsink's and a bit of tar is where its at these days !!!!
  7. Amazing advise to anyone who is unsure there mate !
  8. That Gu frame isnt mine. I have an onza t-pro that was bought off a friend and thats whats cracked.
  9. Ok so yesterday my friend noticed my frame was cracked on the outside of the brake mount, but then because of where it is I thought the pressure isn't going there much so if I got it welded would it be fine ? I have added a picture to show where the crack is with the red line. (not my frame though)
  10. Ohh .. I didnt read it propperly. I though some of the pedal threads came off in the crank making the hole smaller Like what PeanuckleJive said, Tartys can helicoil it.
  11. You could always take the crank back to school and go to the head of engineering or whatever and ask them to tap the threads to put them back to the original size. Check up on what size threads they are though, otherwise if you get the wrong size the pedal won't go in properly.
  12. Must be just a manufacturers defect because on my park bike, i cracked the frame and i got a free one direct from the manufacturer and that had the logo upside down so sometimes it happens.
  13. The wheel is 20 inch and i will put links to photo bucket on the post because the files are to big to upload

  14. If you are gunna do it you wanna be careful with the positioning and stuff.
  15. Oh i didn't know lol. It was just a idea. Cheers for letting me know On the onza blade they don't have the little threaded hole on the dropout for the screw that the snail cam uses. I suppose you could drill and tap a hole though if you really want snail cams.
  16. Okay heres the deal. I was sat in engineering the other day and thought why do onzas have to have such big dropouts, especially on the T-pro's. And a idea came to me about making some snail cams bigger than normal to be used on large drop outs so people don't have to use chain tugs that often break. So i was just wondering, if i were to make these would anyone buy them for like £7 posted?
  17. Ohhh okay cheers. They will sell star nuts but I thought the small ones were trials specific for the extra thick steerer tubes that I have only seen in trials .
  18. What i usually do if my disks are contaminated on my jump bike is to just take the pads out and soak them in white spirit and also clean the disk with white spirit and that gets whatever is on there off.
  19. His I think >>>>> http://kevinminatz.pinkbike.com/
  20. Does anyone know where to get the small star nuts (20.8mm) from?Tarty bikes don't have them in stock at the moment and i am desperate for one. Cheers.
  21. I think i will ring them to double check. I didn't think of doing that, Thanks.
