  4. Yep it was that massive tin of tomatoes wasn't it. The onw which i head blow up from the other side of the valley hahaha! And then I came up with the flash light and you all legged it! Oh that was a good week, Vince blowing up a freewheel and crying, street ride raining and staying in the shales. Me, Joe and Andrew stayed in the Nemours F1 last year Wayne after the comp on sunday and it was a pretty nice place and very cheap

  10. Oh i'll let Nick post up if he wants people to know but a grand unveiling would be good!
  11. Right see I started work on Oli's Mini yesterday and the plan is to keep a daily update of how it's going along with pictures to sure you whats going on. Stripped the car down to a bare shell and cut the front end off. Lots more to follow
  12. My bike has a 21" front wheel and an 18" rear! You haven't got that on the poll
  13. Ok fair enough there good bikes but come on the best bikes!! Do you enjoy having to re-shim your clutch after every 4 trials, the gearbox which who know which direction is could go in, to lovely linkages on the rear suspension that rattle themselves to peices. No doubt they're good bikes but with that amount of up keep they not the best.
  14. Ok chill out!! This is my veiw on the whole thing, your a new rider so your not going to really feel the difference between any of the bikes. What you want is something at a resonable price thats going to have good durabilty even after so many years of use. You want something thats older than 2000 to keep the cost down at this age of bike you've basically got a choice of a few makes, BETA, GAS GAS, MONTESA, SCORPA and SHERCO. Now for this age bike you don't really want a Scorpa or Montesa as they only come in a 250 model and would be to much for a novice if your not that big. Sherco's were in their first year of production in 1999 (i think!) these early bikes were pretty good at the time but that havent faired well and will proberly leave you with more costs to repair. Thats leaves you with Beta and Gas Gas now i've been a massive Beta fan for a long time now they are very well built bikes and are proven to be brillient on the national and world scene. Gas Gas's are great bikes light and revy not quite as well built as the Beta but still a good bike. I would get Trials and Motorcross news (weekly newspaper) and look through the adds in the back and try to find somthing within your price range. Remember you need a helmet and some boots aswell. Hope i've helped.
  15. Thing is though is you post that in New Members they'll just think your a nutter!. I was out a few months back with a load of yound lads who had just started out, only 1 of the 5 knew who Martin Ashton was and none had seen tricks and stunts!!! whats becoming of this world
  16. Well seeing as i've been on this ride for what must be the last five years now, i guess I better not break tradition. I'll be bring Joe Seddon (should be stealing his Limey) and all also Andrie Burton and maybe a few other Exeter lads. I'll be the resident filmer for the day
  17. Ok it was aliens enslaving humans to build it, they were just the formen to keep everything in shape
  18. Have you never watched stargate!! the Gould built them doh!!
  19. Yeah he'll be back, if you can't die then you'd easily get out over time i reckon a week and you'd be out.
  20. Good i'm glad you making better use of it than me, don't think i'll get another one riding the motorbike to much and i've got loads of training to do on that for all the nationals i've entered next year. Not sure on the dates some people have talked about taking over from me i hope they do but i can't really do anything anymore. Matt
  21. Hey Matt you seem to be getting on with the bike, how you finding it? I loved that thing just wish I had time to ride it.
  22. There are more important things in the world than having your name written in pink
  23. I'm still in a state of shock about this really, when Rich phoned up on Tuesday I thought it was some sick joke really not the thing I was expecting to hear. It's been such an odd last few days with Oli's mini sat in here in the workshop and it just seems crazy that he was only here last weekend getting me write down all his plans for his pride and joy. I'll hopefully be at the funeral next week and i'll give you a phone soon Nick to discuss the car, sorry I haven't been quicker but we moved house four days ago.
