Done, and made an offline iPhone version, just like an app

Aye it does, not touched that in a few months fella. I guess I ought to update, I might iPhone it too… just cos I can haha.

I'd never put mine on my CV, they're employing you on how good you are at your job, not how awesome your hair is. I did mine online, so it's not a typical printed CV, but I'd still not whack a pic on there. http://csswizardry.com/cv/ That's bloody nice is that!

Try keeping a finger on each brake lever at all times. You use two on the back lever and I'm sure you switch from none to one on the front when you land. Causing yourself work there…

I'm not a graphic designer, I'm a web designer/developer. My site is http://csswizardry.com/ but I work for a new startup place in Leeds called Venturelab (don't worry, I had nothing to do with that site.)

It's worth a watch, really good IMO. Most people think it's 90 mins about a font, but it's about the whole post-war design movement. Top stuff. But yeah personally I'm a fan of Helvetica, but only when used properly. I use it for headings on my site because I find it works really well, but that's as far as I'd go, even I think you can definitely overuse it.
-
You mean Akzidenz? Ever seen the Helvetica documentary? I'm guessing so, given your opinions. It is fairly ubiquitous but it's so mainstream for a reason—it is a very good font. Too many people have a tendency to use it straight out of the box, as it were, caring very little for kerning etc. This is when its implementation is poor. Typography is more than just choosing a font, and samey looking work in Helvetica is more the designers fault than that of the face… EDIT: A nice free face between Akzidenz Grotesk and Helvetica you might like is http://www.dafont.com/Alte-Haas-Grotesk.Font

Nah, my PC is fine. IE is deadly slow full stop, but in Ff I have loads of plugins/addons. Page rendering is nice and quick, but with over a dozen tabs and just as many plugins it gets bad in general. And like I said, memory leaks and stuff, it eats into the CPU usage something terrible.
-
Firefox offers a good experience but it's a bit heavy for everyday browsing. I only really use it because of the web developer addons it has. Chrome would be the better alternative for the non-web developing used I'd say. If you're just browsing it's nice and fast, Firefox is pretty slow if you get too many addons running, plus there's the memory leaks and what-not.

Someone who gets it, thanks. Nice efforts too, I can see you're into your typography too, correct…?
-
I'm already more than firmly into 'this line of work', thank you very much (albeit web, rather than print).
-
Sorry, but as a designer who comes across 'design me something for free please, it's for a good cause' on a daily basis, it begins to wear thin…
-
A client only holds so much weight if they have the cash to back it up, in my opinion anyway.
-
That may be a charitable effort, but professional designers aren't. Sure, ask for something free, but don't be surprised if it's not very good. That's all I'm saying. Exactly, the brief and starting point isn't very good at all. If you want a designer to do it then let the designer do it all (if that makes sense).
-
Not wishing to sound rude but your initial foundations and brief are very weak. Plus the fact you're dictating so much that nothing good can be salvaged. If you want something decent then 1) prepare to pay and 2) if you're not willing to pay, at least let a designer use their own skill to start from, rather than an MS paint mockup.

Shame we missed you guys riding there

After wanting a stock for a while now, I decided to buy the Echo Pure complete off Tarty (upgraded front disc and rear pads) Just a few random iPhone pics, apologies for quality. I love it Cheers to everyone at Tarty

I'd be well up for this If you want a website knocking up or anything to host the details on, and to direct people to, I could sort one out… (once details are known, of course). I've always wanted to do summink like this
-
Cheers. Riding's not that impressive yet as I'm still getting used to 26, plus having 6 months out hasn't helped matters. Cheers guys.

Cheers fella. The missus hadn't seen my bike yet, so suggested nipping to playhouse for an hour with her iPhone. She's into photography as it is, so she shoots/edits them pretty nicely IMO. Shame I didn't make it to Bradford, but my body was just far too weak. I put a video of clips together but you can see how much I'm shaking through exhaustion haha. And yup, I feel better on one, more comfortable.
-
Some nice shots there, shame I had to shoot off Haha nah, I'm not shy in the slightest. Carl's right, I'd been out the night before and had three hours sleep. I fell asleep for an hour as soon as I got in from the ride yesterday! Nice meeting everyone, first meet-up ride I've ever been on, that was.
-
Just a few from me this afternoon. After posting a couple of videos on here everyone was yelling at me to get a stock, so… I did I've not rode in 6 months, and went straight back into it on a 26 as opposed to my old 20, so these are nothing special or big, but I feel like I look loads better on stock. All taken and edited on my girlfriend's iPhone: Drop gap (bit dark): Small drop: Stoppie round: To back: Gap: On top (wheel replacement): Going down: Cheers, Harry

Technically not today's riding, but last night. Guy from work testing out his new 7D (HD is amazing). I've not ridden in 6 months and this is my first time riding stock so I was literally just getting used to big wheels on a curb, hence nothing impressive. http://twitpic.com/1845j6 http://twitpic.com/1845vx http://twitpic.com/1845z5 http://twitpic.com/184644 http://twitpic.com/184664 (had to link as Twitpic doesn't allow hotlinking ) I love my new bike
