  1. It would work out cheaper inthe long run but it is a proper pain cutting pads from a block I nearly lost a finger the last time I did it, also if you buy a block that doesn't work out to be any good for pads, you will have lost your money
  2. Tarty only have them in size 48 which is fine if that's the size of your feet I would say go for it, I have the ribo lites and they are very grippy although lack ankle protection, if they still had the as1 in my size I would definitely buy some
  3. what pads are you running at the minute? i have found that it doesnt matter too much what pads you have ( unless they are magura blacks) it is all about the set up of the brake if your allignment is perfect your brake should be gleaming
  4. sounds like his star fangled nut is smashed up get a new one and whack it in he needs the small one of these for urban forks My link and highland dont sell star nuts small enough so he will need to order from tarty
  5. a couple of areas that would definitely need to be nailed would be tyre clearance for tyres such as the contis, Gear ratio-brake mounts- Cs length calculations so that on a used chain everything matches up these tend to be a things some brands can't seem to get and in my opinion simplicity, some of the nicest frames out there such as the 09 control, the 2011 echo range and the fans all have really simple designs, and seem to look awesome and have no major disadvantage above the over engineered cnc monsters that some companies produce
  6. I would say around the 300 mark would be more than reasonable, the only problem i can forsee is peoples trust in the brand, you would need to get a few frames out to riders for testing to build the companies reputation, and to cement peoples confidence your work
  7. looks awesome Tris, Glad you got it all sorted out
  8. if the master cylinders are pretty much the same size then i dont see why it wouldnt work
  9. i know they spec is very similar but the 09 rage bars just feel alot more comfortable to me, it could just be in my mind but i definitely prefer the rage over theTT's
  10. As above i have used a single ply high roller on the rear i never had many Pinch punctures as i run quite high pressure, but they would fold over terribly under load, if you look in my forsale thread i have quite a few rear tyres up for sale
  11. It's still not working for me, the main page comes up but won't allow me to view individual products
  12. I really would love to get the TT'S but I have 130 quid and need a few other small bits, if someone would buy my last der kaiser my problems would be solved lol
  13. I'm waiting on patt Donovan getting back to me about a set of trialtechs, to anyone that has used both are they really worth the extra 40 quid
  14. Tarty don't stock maggy sls so they are out of the question
  15. I never even considered the sls, I'm quite a heavy guy but I don't do many large moves and don't ride particulary often, how long can expect a set to last
  16. Didn't think he would from what i have heard but its sure a way to shift all his parts, however i do see what kieran is saying, i'm sure there are a few people out there that would take advantage of the situation and get some free parts
  17. Right i am looking for a set of maggy forks to complement my Fans. I know everyone will say TrialTechs are the way to go but i would like to retain the option to run disc in the future should i feel the need. soo I have narrowed it down to 3 sets 1. Echo Urbans 2. Try-all 2011 ( i know these are maggy only) 3. Neon curved I know all of these forks have different geos so i would like to know how they will affect the handling / geo of the frame, I am currently running Echo control forks does anyone know the geo of them. Thanks in advance for the help
  18. what if pete were to send the parts then we send the money thats sounds fair to me
  19. The more you play about with them the more likely they are to break, if the brake still works just leave it to do it's job
  20. sounds like you have threaded the tpa, if it is working fine i would just leave it alone
  21. the only thing i can suggest is cutting a bit of a notch in the cup and using a screwdriver and hammer to tap it round, then out. but be very carefull not to damage your bb threads
  22. pretty much yes, so is the actual bb still in the frame or is it just the cup, and is the cup plastic or metal
