Is there any information if the Console will be available as a frame kit?
-
I tried both the XTR and the SD7. While the XTR has a higher build quality and feels more solid, the SD7 fits perfect to my hand, so for me it's the perfect lever!

What motivates you to comment in a thread where the last answer is from 3 or 4 years ago?

You can skip the first two minutes! edit: A bit boring. Highlight is at 6:12

Is there any type of bicycle he did not ride yet? Fixie, downhiller, racebikes, bmx, crosser, ... The only one I can think of would be a tandem bike... perhaps we can get Danny and Chris on one bike?

Sometimes the internal friction of the freewheel is so high that the cranks rotate when you push the bike while walking around.

Found this on Tribalzine: http://www.tribalzine.com/?Le-nouveau-bike-de-MacNobile Apart from the halflink chain, the frame height and the stem this is the most beautiful bike I've ever seen! edit: can somebody fix the title?

Since I don't know anything about welding: Is fillet brazing as strong as "real" welding?

Unfortunately I am in a similar situation as you A few years ago I had two accidents while riding trials. In the first incident I was doing backwheelhops on an old MTB and the brake cable snapped. I fell off backwards and smashed head first into the floor. I was really really lucky since I only had a slight concussion although I did not wear a helmet. In the second incident I was training pedalkicks on the lawn when something happend to the rear brake (I think the cable slipped a little bit because it was not tightened enough). This time I wore a helmet, but I had severe upper back pain for a few weeks. Right now I am trying to learn to manual but it is f**king hard because my brain just shuts down when I reach the balance points. I am totally scared of this moment when you feel that the back wheel is passing below you and I end up hitting the break although I know it is not dangerous at all... I don't really know how to overcome this except getting really really drunk...

I hope it is not a repost:

I am not sure if it looks nicer with stickers and tire logos removed: It looks more clean but also more boring...

Martin had an appearance on one of Germany's biggest TV shows with 12 million viewers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4ubj0zKy7E&feature=player_embedded edit: longer version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PExEdWEXaM Just image the pressure he must have felt after the first failed attempts.

Some guys from biggest MTB forum in Germany did an interview with Dave Cleaver (Inspired Bicycles) about the new Inspired frame/bike: http://videos.mtb-news.de/videos/view/8704 (I hope this works without registration)

Since the HS33 is one of the most used brakes in bike trials, some of you might be interested in this: Magura is relasing an updated version of the HS11 and the HS33 in September 2010. Some images can be found here: http://www.mtb-news.de/forum/showthread.php?t=455130 The highlights are a system for easier bleeding and brake levers with two screws for easier instalation. There will be a version for 2 and 4 fingers.

It sounds like the stem/handlebar combination might be smaller on your bike?
-
I would buy those: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...category_id=114 They are made of steel and should last much longer as the aluminum ones. Before you buy those, check if the axle diameter is correct.

You have seen the Pad review thread in the Trials Chat Forum?

28" Geometry Which Is Good For Bunny Hops / Manuals?
janjan replied to janjan's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Because I get bored by just commuting On my daily route to work there are a lot of benches, stairs and other stuff I could you to have some fun while riding to/from work. The other option would be to build up a cheap 26" dirt/street bike, but because of the missing lights and reflectors and shit i would be in constant trouble with the local police -
28" Geometry Which Is Good For Bunny Hops / Manuals?
janjan replied to janjan's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
There is, at least kind of. I just found out that for some reason the 700c are called 28" in Germany (where I live) see: http://sheldonbrown.com/tire-sizing.html "28 x decimal | 622 mm | Some German tire companies use this non-standard designation for 622 mm ("700c") tires." Yeah, after trying to manual / bunny hop for 10 km on the way home it seems that I finally get the hang of it. In contrast to my initial post it seems tht right now the biggest problem is not really the chainstay/BB stuff, but the height of the frame. Because it's so tall compared to my other bikes I can not make the same movements, so I guess a smaller frame would also help. -
I have a complete 28" bike which I use daily as a commuter. Since the frame is way too big for me I'm thinking about buying a new (custom) frame for the spring/summer. Just riding the same route everyday gets pretty boring after a while, so: Does somebody have an idea what might be a good geometry for the occasional bunny hop / manual / wheelie? The geometry of the current frame is: Wheelbase: 1066 Chainstay: 440 mm BB: -65mm Right now it's more or less impossible for me to lift the front wheel of the ground (very likely due to the low BB). Might a higher BB help? (Yes, I know, it's probably a very stupid idea...)
