  1. Are the ECHO SL really worth £80 more than the Magura HS33. Like do they really offer £80 more braking power/efficiency/other stuff? Although they do look proper cool =)
  2. Ah. I have no witty or helpful reply to that. Good day to you sir. =$
  3. What's your psn? i need help with this FIFA thing lol, unless you have an xbox grr =P

  4. This might be irrelavent, I don't think so, but there's a website where you can watch all the UCI stuff. Freecaster.tv
  5. Wow I've got a lot of feedback from this, thanks for all the advice guys. I think I'll go with that recomendation and get the trialtechs =) What do you think of the Trialtech Sport booster as well (also considering one of those, as my bike is currently without a booster at all)?
  6. Sent you a message about Tarty, but I dunno if you got it since apparently your message inbox was full. (look at comment below lol) Did you get it?

  7. That isn't a suggestion. That's an ungestion. New word =) I'm like Shakespeare. When you getting the tensioner rob?
  8. No I would know if it was a train station lol. I guess that means I making it up =$

  9. Well I shall get some ASAP then. Plus I just like fiddling with stuff on my bike =) I have a new tensioner and chain planned too soon =) Any suggestions as to a set of risers which won't cost too much (£35 maybe?) and will suit a grey and white bike? Thanks
  10. I think that I get that as well, but that might just be me keeping my arms too straight or locking my wrists a bit much. By the looks of it I'll end up getting risers eventually =)
  11. So I guess from your replies that it's about the feel rather than the geometry or position change specifically? Does it make 'stuff' easier or is it just about comfort on the bike? I'm also guessing it makes more of a difference on a mod, because by default you end up bending your back more and reaching down to get to the bars, so maybe there's no need for both a riser and high stem on a stock like mine (other than the 'feel' like you talked about). This is pure speculation though.
  12. I was just wondering, is there any point getting riser bars, I mean, are they REALLY that much better? I figure that it would have the same effect as just having a high stem, and I'm pretty sure I already have one of those, so would it be of any benefit getting risers? Or am I completely missing the point of them? Thanks
  13. Well that sucks. At least that means that when it does we can fit it and then go for a ride because you won't have your paper round =)

  14. Ah. Did I make that up lol? I swear that was what it was called?

  15. I stopped at Leamington Spa Service Station lol =)

  16. Good video =) I sort of wonder how you kept going with that wall for 4 years without any videos like that yourself.. Am I also right in thinking that the learning curve in trials starts very very shallow indeed, while you learn balance and rear wheel control, and then starts to steepen as you start to get towards proper gapping and ups? I hope so, since it does seem to be moving very slowly for me (6 months and all I've really learnt is backhops, pivoting, hopping and vaguely pedal kicks (I can usually manage 2 or 3 at a time before my front wheel is somehow forced down lol.
  17. Cool. But where's your helmet?!?! =P
  18. I bought a pair of FiveTen Freeriders about 6 months ago, and I must say they are very good indeed. They have a stupid amount of grip, to the extent where if my feet are already in the wrong position on the pedals i have to completely lift them clear to reposition them (I even have to look at my feet at the same time!). Also, the pins on my pedals fit really handily into the gaps in the tread, providing even better grip. Since they're designed with hardcore freeriding etc in mind, they're also very strong and provide a good platform for your feet. They haven't even worn at all. And they look cool =)
  19. Well send me a message next time you're going for a ride in Henley, it would be good to have another rider to frolic with lol =)
  20. Hi, I'm Tom. I was introduced to trials by a really avid friend, and it's been about 6 months since then. I ride in Henley, Oxfordshire with the same friend about twice a week, as I don't get back from school until 6:30, and then I have to eat and do homework etc. I'm riding a Saracen Flea 4, which I got for £250, although the RRP was supposed to be £900 =), so I really have the equipment I need (juicy seven on the front and an HS33 on the back, for example =)). I like to think I'll stick with trials for as long as possible and I'm hoping to ride more; maybe I'll manage to find some time. Somehow
  21. Yeah I wanna know similar sort of stuff, but it seems that all the conversion kits etc are made to work with 15/16t cogs, but I was told that the ratio for front and back cogs should be 20 : 16, and i have a 22t front, so the back should be 19, so none of the conversion kits would work. So what shall I do? get a spacer kit, a tensioner and a cog? Thanks in advance.
