Observed Trials is a pretty popular one, but the members arent as nice as they are here (imo), and the site sucks visually :)

Nope. Wide-Angle lenses render images in a 'rectilinear' way, meaning that the lines in your pictures will be somewhat straight. Fisheye lenses have a greater field of view, but will render images with circular distortion. A 15mm fisheye lens will always be wider than a 15mm wide-angle, but thats about it :)

Grinding the rim tonight... Can't wait to see the difference

The difference you will see will depend greatly on the colour of the paint on your rim. If the rim is black and you grind it, you will see a massive difference, but if the rim is silver you wont see much difference.
