  1. They weren't moving on the price at all. And they wouldn't let me open a new policy until the old one was paid off. Paid half already now, can't wait to wash my hands of them!
  2. Cheers Danny, They have allowed me to cut the cost into 2 months. The £420 was an estimate and has turned out to be £486.39. Still worth it. It's my own fault for not looking into the costs of a bigger bike before selling the one I had. Live and learn.
  3. I have to pay about £420 to get out of the contract. Got a quote last night, 3rd party F+T plus RAC cover for £21 per month.
  4. On the phone to them now, £50 plus 75% of the premium. I really should know what a premium is.
  5. Fry it for ages, if it's bleeding then you're serving it like a woman. It's called well done for a reason, because it's done well.
  6. Have you ridden one? The 600 was okay to ride but the 1000 is just a different beast, so nice to ride. Pretty bloody quick. It's mental to think my CG125 struggled to hit 60mph, and the FZS1000 does it in 1st gear.
  7. Because they are an Insurance Brokers, so they have to wait to be able to get through to the insurance company that are covering me. I turned to TF for advice while I waited, if that's silly then I guess I'm just one silly billy.
  8. Was happily insured on my 600 Fazer paying £32 per month. Sold that and then phoned the insurance company to change my policy to cover the new bike which is a 1000 Fazer. They are shafting me at £166 per month! I spoke to a supervisor to make sure they hadn't had a computer error! My policy runs until January so I would imagine cancelling the policy would be very expensive?? I've got a bad credit rating as it is, but I'm happy to take a hit for this. If I were to stop the payments being made to the insurer what would happen (I'd obviously get insurance from elsewhere), but what powers have the insurance company got? If I don't pay, then I'm not covered and so I wouldn't be using their services? Anyone shed some light on this? It's driving me scatty. Thanks TF.
  9. Did anyone else have a facebook feed full of ignorant and racist posts? People have the idea that Muslim people as a whole are to blame, it's like saying all Christians are like the KKK. Idiots.
  10. It's like a disease. I started with a T-pro when I started again, then went on to a Zhi, then Neon Stock, then Zoo Pitbull, Marino 24", Echo 24" then sold the lot. All within 16 months. Spent thousands all because I wanted my bike to look better.
  11. Good on you mate, I am hoping to pop over to Europe on the motorbike in the summer to tour all the war sites. like you WW2 is what really grabs me. I'll go on my own I think, it's nice to have alone time and I haven't got to worry about someone else for a week.
  12. I learnt something today.

Honesty is the best policy, and my honest opinion is that thing looks horrendous. I'm sure the build quality is good though.
  14. Mod or stock, your height doesn't matter. the distance from Pedals to grips will be roughly the same. Just make sure you go for a long frame, anything short and you'll put your back out. And it doesn't matter how you look on a bike, as I don't think ANYBODY rides a trials bike as a fashion statement.
  15. They get shot all right, not in the way you're thinking though.
  16. Exactly, it's not a sexist thing at all. I know him well enough that he'd sleep with some teenage Chinaman. I'm not worried about that. But for him to take her away and pay for everything I feel is making me feel pretty lame. I don't want her to miss out on an experience like this, but we should be seeing it together not her swanning off with this chump!
  17. But I can't trust HIM to look after her in China. If they were to get mugged I could see him tripping her up and running for the hills.
  18. Hi everyone. Been with the Mrs for 7 years, and recently she has met this knew friend called Matthew who looks like Harry Potter and wears Prada shoes, the show off upper middle class type who eats posh cheese and travels all over the place. He acts really gay, the poofy sort but I'm not sure. Could be a Eunach for all I care. He's asked the Mrs to go to China with him all expenses paid, and I'm not happy about it. I don't feel threatened by him but I think it's disrespectful to ask such a thing without speaking with me first. I feel deflated because all I can offer is a week in Swanage and he's taking her to bloody China!! Is it just me or am I over reacting? I'm pretty pi**ed off to be honest.
