  1. Also take into account the editing. Giaco used pretty much the entire 2 minutes for each section. The video makes it look like he was just flying through the section, but he was actually taking his time. That's the thing about comp riding that most people can't understand. At that level, it's as much a mental exercise as it is physical.
  2. The sections were really steep and scary. It's hard to tell from the video though. There are a few points where Giaco rode through and everyone stratoed. Lots of fives in those sections too. The semifinals scores were also much higher than the finals. Finals had lots of big make or break sections. Semis were more technical.
  3. Technically not from Canada Tacoma is in Washington State, USA. Kevin Liu (white koxx) is Canadian though. He'll be in Toronto for a big group ride this weekend, so I'll get some footage and post a real Canadian vid soon.
  4. This is the second film in the Leaps and Bounds series by Brian Hong. It was just released a few days ago. The first one was released over four years ago. I ordered my copy yesterday from www.thetrialsinshop.com, but it is also available through the wesite leedstrials posted at the beginning of this thread.
  5. Damn, Hermance has the second man curse

    Rc Petrol Cars

Sounds like you culd have run the air/fuel mixture too lean (not enough lubrication) and ruined the piston/sleeve. But..if a smart guys tuned it for you, it's likely he would have tuned it for a rich air/fuel mixture (i.e. lots of blue smoke=good lubrication), so you might still be ok. To check: First remove the glowplug and examine it. Test to make sure it still glows. If it's fine, check the piston. If it's seized or all burnt looking, you might have a problem. Other things to check for, air leaks around the carburator, fuel lines, fuel filter, drivetrain.
  9. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1...uration%3Ashort We had a big group ride in Toronto (Canada) this weekend. Here is a short video, edited by Canadian film-maker Jason Askey. Riders: James Barton and Trevor Bodogh
  10. I broke a Brisa Pro, with the steel steerer. Doesn't matter though, from what I've been told Brisa is practically out of business. If you're gonna spend some big money on a fork, as much as I hate Kxxx, their forks last a long time and are relatively light.
  11. I hurt my shoulder ligaments last June after riding an unfamiliar bike for a week. I never stopped riding and my shoulder still hurts all the time. It hurts the most when I try to put a jacket or backpack on, but it doesn't affect my riding much. In my experience that ultrasound and electro stuff works pretty well. Best of luck.
  12. I can see the rear screen blowing if you get a large change in pressure in the car, say, from a gust of wind through an opened side window. Curved glass is very weak from the inside. A strong gust of wind could have exerted enough pressure to blow the glass, especially if there was already a hairline fracture somewhere. I once shattered the front screen in my old Passat while trying to kill a fly resting on the glass :$

    My Coust Velo

I should post pics of my beat up Coust. First batch shipment and still going strong. It's only cracked in one place (drive side dropout), although I've managed to hold it together with a guitar string. Downtube's taken a proper flogging too. Your bike looks mint compared to mine.
  15. No, no, the misspelling was the best part! Made me laugh . Nice one

  17. Vincent has the edge with big impressive moves like sidehops, taps, etc. Giacomo is more of a technical rider, but can still hold his own with some big moves. From my simplified brain... Vincent=Great front run-up moves, great sidehops; his weakness is small tech. Kenny= Great sidehops, great small tech, weakness is front run up moves Giaco= Great front run-up moves, Amazing small tech, weakness is sidehops Benito= Amazing at everything, he is the King! But weak at 26" riding so he is DQF
  18. Well, for bike bits, you have run into a fair bit of luck. The Toronto International Bike Show is on THIS WEEKEND!!!! at the Exhibition (CNE). There will be a huge BMX comp, some demos with Ryan Leech, and a big group ride with some of the best trials riders in the city. Plus all the big bike shops have booths where you can look for bike parts. PM me if you need any infos about the city. I'd be happy to show you around a bit too if you'd like. Here is a link to the bike show http://www.telsec.net/bicycleshow/html_pages/springshow.html Can't miss the BMX comp, link: http://www.metrobmxjam.com/

    Olympics

I agree, even if trials did get in to the olympics, it would still be less popular than skeleton bobsledding.
  22. get "dvd decrypter" from www.afterdawn.com
  23. Sorry, I promise the compressed version will be compatible with quicktime. Next vid should be ready in 2-3 weeks. In the meantime you can try VLC player for mac.
  24. It is compressed, original file size was 700+ megs . Yeah sorry, I will release a compressed version along with the next video.
  25. Actually, he did fall off once, trying this neck height sidehop from a sketchy rock to another slanted sketchy rock.
