1st problem is that the axle on my echo hub is too thick for my Onza ice's dropouts. would filing the axles down a bit help resolve this?
2nd problem is that my wheel keeps moving in the dropouts. i'm using the onza chain tensioners (not using the silver bits or the nuts). I set my wheel up so that the chain is at a nice tension. and the wheel is centred. If i do a few pedal kicks (or something as little as spinning my wheel which happened tonight) the chain either goes really loose or far too tight. The chain tensioners are touching the axles so its not a case of the wheel not moving down when i was setting it up, and the bolts are really tight. Its weird that it moves when i dont want it to but when i do it wont move, what can i do to stop this? will i need a new hub? I was thinking it might be because the axle bolt washers on my wheel are mashed due to side hops. will changing them help?
Any help appreciated, thanks
Definitely echo platforms, i changed from caged to platform (both echo) and the platforms are much grippier.*
* These were the normal ones, not ti, so i dont know if its different
Are you using the new hs33s? They tend to move backwards when your using the echo clamps ( they pop out)
If this is whats happening wrap a few strips of a coke can or something around the cylinder
The midges were mental, Was walking around With a buff over my face to act as a midgey net
Apart from that, was a good weekend, too bad the weather wasn't great today
Onza diamond 19" rim, onza chain, onza ice 2 frame, pedals, 2011 hs33, small things (bolts, stem stackers etc), inner tubes
Still have alot to buy but no money after this weekend
Going up to the fort bill tonight, is anyone up there tonight or tomorrow up for a ride?
