  1. how much does a stuck piston in your brake effect braking performance?

    Gears?

Are gears any good on a trials bike because they seem quite useful to have if your wanting to travel to somewhere to trials but ive heard they have to be set up right to prevent the chain skipping what does everyone else think?
  3. at the moment engines are probably better but I hope some time soon someone will make a light, powerful and long lasting electric bike because I think it would be amazing to ride and it would open up a much bigger variety on things to do.
  4. what would be the best gears for a trials bike because I cant imagine them lasting that long under the force they'd be put under? I agree, im sure one of these days someone will find a way to keep batteries small but powerful
  5. I was thinking of more of a pedal electric trials bike
  6. I already do mototrials it would a light version which could be used in the back garden without the neighbours complaining
  7. Ive been wondering lately at why someone hasn't thought of making an electric trials bike, I personally think it would be great and big rocks and travelling to somewhere would be much easier. What does everyone else think?
  8. im currently running 18-12 which seems perfect.
  9. really liking the pitbull I think the stem should be black though, either way it looks amazing
  10. im definetley going to use this in the future
  11. Ive came to the conclusion that everyone should mix water with oil which gives you a light lever but the pistons wont stick. simples
  12. probably because it would be easier and you dont really want oil everywere now do you. Also Magura's are used on some motorbikes which work the same way as pedal bike magura's and Ive never heard of a water bled motorbike
  13. for instance lets say you have a jetwash of water and a jetwash of oil the oil will hurt more because it is thicker and has more 'force', if you think about it it should be the same for when you pull in your brake. Its just a theory so dont be a douche about it just because im trying to state a fair point.
  14. I haven't used water bleed brakes but I cant imagine being better as oil when you think about it it should be better if the oil is thicker shouldnt it?
  15. well think about its quite a sensible point
  16. you cant get air in cables he must of thought they were hydraulic
  17. I know but ive heard quite a few of problems with water bleeding and in theory because oil is thicker than water then it should help with brake power because it would be able to push the pads in better.
  18. Thats just being stupid its common sense to use proper fluid in brakes its just a cheap around it, spend a few quid on proper fluid and it'll work better
  19. try bleeding it with magura royal blood I wouldn't ever think of bleeding a brake with water.
  20. Trying setting up the brake again I cant see it being the grind
  21. I think the forks and stem really go well but I think the pedal arms would look better white or black.
  22. Grinding your rim gives your brake quite a bit more hold and for your pads they will be fine on a ground rim You should have more than enough hold with just grinding your rim. I only use standered magura pads on a ground rim and there working fine and haven't wore down much
  23. my tensile one has held up since January and has been wobbling since I got it, touch wood it holds until my birthday when I can get an echo sl
  24. All the freewheels ive used seem to rock slightly from side to side so I dont think so. Saying that my tensile freewheel is on the way out and that rocks quite a bit
