  1. I'll get some 04's then. 05's are good but I don't seem to have much luck with brakes as i snapped my front and rear ones 2 years ago and then tried the 2010 HS11 and then the new 2014 HS33. The newest HS33 felt great its just a shame that the lever blades are so weak
  2. I haven't looked recently as i've only just thought about going back to dual rim brake. I'm just hoping there will be a pair for when I get paid as i'm gonna do a big order for new parts and maybe new frame for my stock
  3. I cant always seem to find a set of 04 maguras and I've snapped 05 maguras so i'm not overly keen on them
  4. I know i've recently made a topic about mods but I think i'll set it aside till next year so i'm going to do up my stock. This is probably a stupid question really due to everyones opinions being different. I'm thinking of going front rim brake again but i'd also like to change my Tensile Tocco on the rear due to it leaking through the pivot bolt for unknown reasons. I don't seem get have much luck with rim brakes so I may aswell ask for peoples opinions. I've just been thinking of getting some Echo SL brakes (front & rear) but i'm not too sure how the new ones perform and i'm not 100% certain on the racing lines as they seem a bit over priced for just a simple remake of a brake.
  5. Cheers for the help chaps. Definitely going to look into getting one just gotta wait till pay day but i'll most likely go for one in October time. Will be interesting to see how i'll do on one, I just feel like a slight change of scene. I'll most likely keep my Limey 3 as i still enjoy riding it but its just a bit on the heavy side and one doesn't even lift.
  6. Hmm I'd rather go for a higher spec bike so it saves me replacing parts later on but I think its going to be between an SL and a Genesis. I'd want rear rim brake which wouldnt be an issue buying one for the echo but i've never been too sure with the 2011 Maguras due to having a HS11 and the piston in the lever broke. I'd probably end up getting the brake set up similar to my stock just not a Tensile Tocco on the rear as mine keeps leaking through the pivot bolt for unknown reasons
  7. Ah okay I'll have to give it a try. I've been looking at the old Echo SL on Tartys and it seems alright geometry wise. The last time I had a go on a mod was last year which was a mates onza blade and when I had a go on that I could ride it as well as I could my stock. I remember it having Trialtech high rise but never knew the stem geo. Cheers for the help
  8. I'm thinking of getting myself a Mod but i'm unsure on what kind of geometry would be best suited for me due to being on a Stock since I started 3 years ago. I'm 6ft 3 and I know it would most likely be best to go for a 1010mm geo but unsure on stem and bar geo. On my stock I have a 165x25 stem with high rise bars which in a way is a bit overboard but feels comfortable but i'm unsure on what would feel comfortable on a mod
  9. Damn i'm working unfortunately I would have popped up if I wasn't. I'll be riding the Sunday after though most likely. Could always post something up in southwest trials on facebook as a lot of them head over
  10. Could be Rockman Blues cant think of any others that are blue with that type of backing. Very nice build though I must say. i'm thinking of getting a mod for myself but not fully convinced to get one as i've been riding Stock 3 years
  11. That's the one with the Jockey Wheel and yeah I agree the springs were pretty bad. I think they have been upgraded not 100% sure. Still would like to see more like this echo one though as it would benefit so many riders especially if it could be brought onto vertical drop outs
  12. Unfortunately I don't anymore as they came out whilst riding as my tensioner bolts became loose but this is what they look like http://www.trialsaddict.com/chain-tensioners/chain-tugs/onza-integrated-tensioners.html I had pretty much the first one (Besides Steve himself using one). It was a good idea but i found it didnt always hold itself into position back when I used in on my Ashton. I found that the upper part leading from the axle always found itself rubbing against my chain and I couldnt get it to stay in one position without over bending the main spring
  13. You can buy them I think as they come with Onza frames/bikes that have the intergrated tensioners. It would be better if it was made out of something other than aluminium due to it sometimes changing shape (Thats what happened with me but i dont seem to have much luck with things anyway)
  14. That's quite odd I've been thinking to myself and even thought about designing an idea similar to this up on CAD. I think it would be a good idea if a company went into production of a tensioner that also gives the correct spacing for an axle washer instead of 1mm pieces of metal which sit on the axle. it'll most likely be or reliable than the 74 Kings and Heatsink tensioner due to being stronger and i'm surprised no one has recreated something like to actually work with all hubs.
  15. So since the chain snap i had nearly a month ago nothing seems to be going right. Ruptured a bearing in my Pro II and dented my axle some how a few weeks ago finally got it back then my new front wheel which I got nearly a month ago has turned out like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwUmKmj_Owg&feature=youtu.be a weeks worth of riding
  16. Due to not currently having a rear wheel I started watching some videos and came across another Biketrials Motivation video. Don't know whether this is a repost... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xh3UPRBhTc

It wasn't too pleasant I must say and i cant say i've ever snapped a bottom bracket I bet it feels horrible when it happens. I never really got the hang of taps as I'm always able to get up fairly high things without them. I just thought I need to mix things up more as a lot of my past videos is just to rear moves

0:00 to 0:50 were on a iPhone then from then up to 1:42 was filmed on a HTC Mozart and the rest were filmed on a vivitar dvr785. I edited these on youtube so that might be why haha :L i've been meaning to get proper software on my laptop now I have a semi decent camera. All my old clips werent really worth editing properly due to being lower than 480p and didnt fill up the whole screen like the HTC clips. Edit: Just had a little play with the features youtube had to offer. Not a lot there but there will be a bit more coulor to it soon when it finishes I use to have a beefy chain but it done more damage than that i'll say that :L that surprising was the longest lasting chain i've had that was snapped in the video. Cheers man
