  1. I have a megamo radical 20" mod, 05 maguras, adamant booster, avid elixir front, hope/echo front with kenda 8 block, echo tr rear on echo urban (Fixed) with a creepy crawler, Tensile 60 click freewheel 18t, megamo cranks, onza double cage, megamo stem,Zoo bars, Gusset b*****d grips, an aluminium peg, a wicked brake booster bodge(pictured)! Edit: A set of cnc backings, new pedals, bars and stem added. The megamo stem kindly donated by Mr Arkwright has just put everything in place and saved me 570g's combined with zoo bars. All i need now is a new rear tyre and a set of red dmr zip grips, and maybe a white/rawed magura.. And he'll be a proper little stallion
  2. Aint the most important thing when thinking about tyres what your gonna be riding? I would personally use different tyres for street to natural etc I have a creepy crawler rear and a kenda small block 8 on the front but im not liking the small block 8 for natural washes out too much.
  3. Belive me ive been spending quite a bit of time looping out and stuff. Thats deffo where im going wrong im kicking too much, and not having the pedals in the right place. Jim fitted the brakes on my bike yesterday and in my opinion im much smoother without them things seem to flow!
  4. Hey due to running my bike without brakes i think im learning alot as a first time trials rider. I don't think its adviceable to learn brakeless but im learning to not be reliant on my brakes. Can anyone offer any tips on holding it on the back wheel better i know i have to hop and push the back wheel out then hold it with the pedals. Stopping brakeless nuding things kinda helps me get into a track stand but sometimes im going to quick to absorb the stop, and i have to bail, is there any other techniques? Endos are really challenging brakeless, getting your centre of balance right is the hard part. I seem to do them really well when trying to get onto something but on a curb or on a line i struggle. Are there any changes i can make to my bike that will help i.e bar angle? Is it just practice from here? Just need general brakeless help please!!
  5. thanks for all the advice, Ive settled on an echo tr fixed rear (non disc) and a hope disc front, on echo urban rims! And they are great!
  6. Me n Jim are gonna pop down and check out manx, only wanna see Mr Mcaskell So we'll be riding street for most of it can't deal with being stood in one spot too long..
  7. Obv im lucky the halfords in blackpool two employees are clued up and used to ride trials, but made an enquiry about the chainstay length of a 24 at leisure lakes bikes and got told it was 12inch??? Asked for a a correct measurement and gave instructions on how to measure it and got 15inch back.. My mod is just about 15inch so i don't think ill be buying off them.
  8. i cant wait to get riding this weekend!

  9. I should be able to buy myself my hubs after this weekend! Woop woop! I'm looking at the £50 mark per hub is there anything for that price that i should stay away from? Or what can you recomend i buy. Ive read too many posts about hubs skipping so im going for fixed hub and tensile freewheel. Any recomendations?
  10. i wish my megamo would grow a wheelset ^_^

  11. It is steel but its not the point i wouldent have brought it if i knew that it was cracked and theres a bit of metal missing on the crack. I wouldent even know if its repairable to be honest.
  12. I gotta say ebay was amasing untill i started buying parts for my bike! brought a DMR Rhythem about a month ago came yesterday, cranks and pedals are on so tight i'd swear they had been welded! and i discovered a massive crack in the top tube. So its only fit for the bin really! Sold a set of forks for 99p last week was upset they sold for that but they are RST so im not bothered and only worth that, but they aint paid and now my ebay invoice is bouncing and item is sat packaged ready to go..! I'm giving up with ebay! Although my megamo + spares for £45 posted is ace and the seller was brilliant! So can't tar everyone with the same brush! Sorry about the rant
  13. pm'd forgot to mention need a rear magura lever aswell ^_^

  15. Well guys the survey sez, i need to do it! Or i will never get confident or a technical rider sooo... Thanks guys And those who think its gonna be funny maybe you should listern to these guys and learn to ride
  16. Basically I've really started to get the hang of manuals and endos.. With sufficient injurys... My boyfriend recons i need to now learn to fall off properly before taking it further. He wants me to endo so i go over the bars and manual till i come off the back (already do with manuals but land 1 footed)! Anyway i do not like the sound of forcing myself to go over the bars! Do i listern to him or call him an idiot for trying to make me hurt myself!
  17. Yes i do LOL! I do agree with ali though the pleasure beach used to be good but its gone downhill! And i wouldent say any of the rides were safe! Although the newest ride there is ok.. The lower prom north pier side is way more fun!! MOONROCKS!!
