I love my Phase! It's showing its age now a bit though.. I've cracked the forks at the 4 bolt mount where they're welded on so that might be the next upgrade I do!! Joosh

Awesome!! There's one for sale in the FS section so imma grab it and then work on some bars of some sort!! I haven't got a grind on it yet and I'm using some el cheapo pads I got free with my brothers bike.. So it's not the best but it works!! I just tar it up before I go out for a big ride and it seems to be okay!! proper pikey like!! Joosh
-
It seems to ride really nice though!! dunno if it's just me not knowing what it COULD potentially feel like with a proper bar and stem combo! So if I get one of these ( http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/26_inch_stems/trialtech_sport_forged_high_rise/c41p11316.html ) in the 135x25 and some nice riser bars, it'll be reet we reckon? Joosh

I don't think the stem on it is the stem the Onza came with originally.. It is massive though!! I'll see if I can throw up a picture from my iPad of what the bike looks like with it on then we might have a better idea of what I'm riding!! excuse the terrible front wheel.. It was just to get it running again!! EDIT: is it the 130x25 I'm looking for?? Joosh

Hey everyone! I have a Phase 1.2 that I've had for a while and I've recently been tossing backwards and forwards between a downhill bike or just upgrading my other bikes. So I've decided to stick to trials for a while and see how good I can get over the summer. Anyways, back to the point in hand, I've recently stripped my Onza T Poo for parts and thought for a laugh, I'd use the stem off the Onza on the Phase but I've become quite attached to how it rides and would like something similar but a little newer and with 31.8 clamp size. I don't know what everyone else is running these days but looking at a few bikes in the pictures section, a lot of stocks are running quite large stems (not mentioning the ridiculous bar angles ) but I just want some ideas as to what I should go for. Bearing in mind also that I'm 6ft 4 so that might change a few things! I'm wanting to preferably buy off tarty as I have a few things I need to geso any links would be awesome! Before you ask btw, I don't know what the old stem I have on now is.. I know it's a koxx one with a little dude's head wearing what I can only describe as a Viking hat!! Cheers in advance guys!! Just move the topic to the "bike chat" section! I'd love to see more of this thing! I'm a fan to be honest! Lose the double crowns and get some shorter travel single crown forks and you'll be set! you're doing it right! Joosh

Oh dear.. Haha I do hope he doesn't think it's worth that much! Anyone can see its a piece of...
-
I can't wait to see how much it eventually goes for, if it does that is! It is worth £1750 mind so I reckon he'll take it down if he doesn't get near that!

I know.. "Got given this as part payment”.. For what?? Either way, dude got ripped off!! I love the chain device on the front chain set for no apparent reason!

I'm not normally the one to do this but I saw this and couldn't help but share it! I've seen some eBay crap before this has gotta be high on the list! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230904671481;jsessionid=AD335E1E2F0A8B58F6FB2FD67CAFE0F9?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_from%3DR40%26_nkw%3D230904671481%26_rdc%3D1

They look like a chromed surface as apposed to an anodised alloy.. I wouldn't know exactly but it looks more chromed than anodised!! I'll have to have a look a bit later on as to wether or not to to strip them apart but at least I know roughly what I'm looking for! And yeah they're on my dirt jumps bike that I've built up! Cheers Joosh

Whaaaa?? it hasn't leaked any oil though.. Or would it be an internal leak?? How easy is it to change the oil on them if I need to? Joosh
-
Thanks for the insight into where everything's located. It does make a lot more sense now I've thought it through! if it had been an easy fix I think I'd have tackled it myself, but if its going to get tricky then I think I'll just leave it as is for now! I only paid 20 quid for the forks so sending it away and paying £90 for it to be fixed is a bit overkill!! I'll have a see what info I can get from work, maybe phone a few places but it works as it is so I might just leave it! Cheers Joosh

Sounds simple.. Does this apply even if its an air fork? Just there's no typical "rebound" dial like on coil forks and such? Does the compression dial do the preload? Joosh
-
Hey guys and gals! I have a pair of RS Tora airs (bought second hand from a mate) on my DJ bike but the compression lever on the right stantion has packed up and just spins around.. :/ but I think it's causing more problems than just being something to twiddle when I'm not riding! Every time I go to jump, the forks make a sort of banging noise as if they're "topping out"? Could that be down to the before mentioned problem? Another thing, I don't know who it is I'd need to contact to get them repaired should I have to get them done.. Any links to websites that do servicing or repairs would be awesome!! Cheers guys!! Joosh

Right I've found what I need to get my hands on!! What I need to do is get one of these (http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0055C6GII/ref=asc_df_B0055C6GII10574019/?smid=A17WN5ZRMBFEEI&linkCode=asn&creative=22218&creativeASIN=B0055C6GII&hvpos=1o4&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10340504241007936280&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt= ) and chop the front end off, then weld the front end to the some BMX forks then jobs a guddan!! got the idea when I saw this!! Joosh

Hahaa that would look mental!! nahh I might see if I can grab a cheap turbo twist or green machine thingy on ebay then just rip that apart!! that would be ideal! Joosh
-
It would work if I had a chain drive set up like those trikes for disabled people where you pedal with your hands.. Bit that's not quite what I'm after!! Plus, it'll be a ball ache to set up!! hahaa Joosh
-
Would that work?? Where would the drive / freewheel come from?? Wouldn't it just be like a unicycle with a FFW on the cranks doing nowt? Joosh
-
Yeah I have taken it into consideration but I'm hopefully going to have interchangeable wheels on it so I can run the drift wheels when I find a hill and run 26 inch mtb wheels and be able to pedal it when I fancy a bash in the skatepark/bowl or the dirt jumps track near mine! Just something different you know!! might run it with a BMX wheel and stunt pegs until I can source a front wheel with pedals! All I need is someone throwing out a turbo twist cart then that's it sorted!! Joosh
-
Yeah that's the unicycle type which is fixed but I'm looking for it to freewheel when I stop peddling if you get me?? That is kinda what I'm after!! Joosh
-
Hey guys!! I'm wanting to build up a drift trike project with drive at the front wheel but I want it to be free rolling.. Essentially like a freewheel, but for the front wheel! Like whats usually found on this type of thing. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0055C6GII/ref=asc_df_B0055C6GII10574019?smid=A17WN5ZRMBFEEI&tag=hydra0b-21&linkCode=asn&creative=22218&creativeASIN=B0055C6GII&hvpos=1o4&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10340504241007936280&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt= In the description it says mag wheel but I don't know for sure if that it what I need to get my hands on! Unicycle wheels were my first thought but they don't freewheel so they'd not be much good to me.. Hope someone can tell me the crack!! Cheers Joosh
-
Hahaa cheers maan!! I only just put this up like 2 minutes ago!! I'll have to fire up my laptop because my iPad doesn't like vimeo videos for some reason.. Thanks again I knew someone would get it straight away!! Joosh

I'm looking for the video with a bunch of lads going from place to place and riding different towns and stuff.. All I remember is a grapefruit being thrown off a multistory car park and people shouting "yeah Lloyd!!" a lot!! Hopefully that'll spark someone's memory cos I really want to see it again!! Cheers peeps!! Joosh
