I find that I have to set up my HS33 pads very close to the rim in order for me to get the lever position to where I want. I am using mineral oil and I have average sized hands. It is getting quite annoying because I always have a bit of pad rub as I ride. Having said that, I do find that with a fresh bleed, I can move the pads back, but I just don't get why I have to bleed so often (with a mineral oil too!). Just to add, there is no visible signs of leakage either and I know what leaky HS33s look like from past experiences.

Isn't the mod stem a bit too high and long for this frame?

Hahaha King headset next to the Czar crown is so boss.

HEI EVERYONE!! I've been riding a same Chris King hub for 5 years and what is this thread about?

Okay with the angle grinder, - Can I use a cutting disk? - I would grind it fully inflated and installed on my bike right?

I have a worn out Continental Kaiser with no center knobs and pretty worn out side knobs. I was just going to bald the tire for looks and for experimentation. What is the best way to make the tire bald? Angle grinder?

This is my street riding that I started 6 months ago, trials is the one that I am taking a break in. But I agree, I will add more moves to my street riding for sure And I think you meant to say "more fun"

After 4 years of doing trials I need some time out.

How are they compared to SD7s? Are SD7s really that much better? I'm just asking this, because I am trading my Hope trials brake for a bb7 and the other guy has the FR5 lever on his bb7.

Do I go with 200mm or 203mm? Few years ago, bb7 used 203mm and now Tarty is selling bb7s with 200mm rotors? What size rotor should I get? Please help

Most common trials related injuries?
Sam Song replied to HarryM1llar's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
I'm most afraid of sprained ankles. Shins, blisters, or other cuts heal. For shins, it takes a loooooong time for it to completely heal. It's been 6 months since I sprained my ankle, I am still scared of doing certain moves. -
I was wondering if I could use the same fittings I used for normal cable if I were to change the whole line to steel braided line. And how much weight would I be adding by going full steel line on the rear of my bike?

While I enjoy meeting new people riding on the street, when there are too many people watching me ride or taking pictures of me, I simply can't do shit! And it's not like I am afraid of camera all the time either, when my riding friends are holding the camera and watching me, I actually feel more comfortable on the bike. I'm not a fan of natural riding, so I have to stay on the street, but I just hate how I suck so much in front of 'non-riders' watching me. I will admit that I am quite awkward in front of people off the bike, but I like trials since it gives me the opportunity to meet and chat with random people on the street. So how did you overcome this issue?

Great, 1 minute passes by before the actual riding starts.

I ride a +35bb 2009 Zoo Piranha because mod stems look fugly on stock bikes.

Yup At the bar height right now and my sidehop has been improving at the rate of plate tectonics. Lol
-
Check out Benito's sidehops starting at 1:28 mark, it certainly is interesting how he is the only rider who starts from both wheels, but also how he wins!
-
Yup I would practice both, but my sidehops haven't been getting any higher with the old way, so I am just asking if there is a point of doing it that way.
-
First of all Happy Holidays everyone I have been doing lots of sidehops lately and I can sidehop around 34 inches right now. I always set up for a sidehop hopping or standing on the rear tire and that's what everyone seems to be doing. Today, I decided to experiment. From trackstanding, I would pedal kick to the rear, then without any hopping on the rear wheel, I would do the sidehop straightaway. I conserve a lot of energy sidehopping this way and I actually broke my sidehop record doing it the new way! My question is: Should I practice sidehopping the new way or should I just set up for side hop the conventional way (for higher sidehops over 40 inches)?

I have a Zoo Piranha for pure trials and NS Suburban for pure street. What I found with the street trials bikes coming from TGS back ground is that I simply try to sidehop, gap, and do other trials moves that I do on my Zoo. Of course, it would be possible to practice street moves on the 'street trials' bikes, but it's hard when I am not really forced to learn the street moves because I could just pedal kick and use it as a trials bike. Then, I get angry because I can't go up as high on a 'street trials' bike. With the NS, it's got high gear and no rear brake, I can't even attempt to pedal kick or do any trials on it. So when I ride my NS, I am simply forced to practice bunny hops, manuals, and other actual street moves. PS: I will add that trials is the first discipline of riding that I started, so it's hard for me to do anything else other than the TGS trials moves.

First gen Premier was such a hot bike.
