  1. yeah since mine there wasnt a winner really :wink2:
  2. bit of an update here, taken measurement of a viz pad i removed from the plastic backing with the oven method. if anyone needs the measurements: dont know if its worth the money, but to get the mould 3d-printed would cost me 60euros,very tempted... would be cool if someone could do a solidworks or freecad file for that,i´m too stupid for using that software lol edited for spelling correction
  3. i think its mainly that inspired is probably producing 1000+frames a year, just for example(dont know really),and in comparison jaf were producing 50+ a year, marino 200+ a year. that makes people think why its so much more expensive, because mass production should keep the single items price low. but!!! inspired has more marketing costs, more shipping costs,at least 3 middlemen before the customer gets his parts etc. being a fan of good old "local"(preferred, but not available here)craftmanship its quite good to see that a custom frame can be way lower priced than a mass produced one, giving me the hope custom framebuilders wont come to an extinct... edit:as for ross´s question:in peru living costs are way lower than over here or in the uk,marino can give his frames away for this price because what he earns is enough to live over there, and he isnt a greedy guy at all in the uk its impossible to go lower as jaf do,i think edit 2:another point on my first sentences is that alu is cheese and needs more prototyping to get it even to work in trials lol
  4. and then the chainstay cracked? lol, elixir brakes, how did they hold up? they sucked so bad on every bike i´ve seen them yet no pun intended, serious questioning
  5. did it work then? got an old raceline laying around with the same problem, but was too lazy to fix it yet
  6. i´ve nearly given up on them, its half a year since they were mentioned first.
  7. i think it doesnt matter if they show it publicly now or if its copied by jaf or marino customers just one day after it was released but oh well... :wink2:
  8. loads of cocain! joking, self confidence is a must have,if thats fine youll do it...or not
  9. sorry to go ot for just one question:didnt you build up your replacement frame?
  10. i think it´ll be a marino,so your chances are good... :wink2:
  11. haha, best looking bikes so far are nearly all marinos,so i´ll post this one as i like the ghettoish look so much, rawwwww
  12. everyone will post his own toy,i think :wink2:
  13. now post a vid of yourself riding finally, youre always bothering about stuff as if you where better than them all, time for some facts.... sorry, more of a joke than anything, your topics are starting weird in most cases, then turn out as something interesting, well excited what it turns out this time lol edit:being creative is not very easy, but i tried to and hopefully my first public vid will be.
  14. i knew i´ve seen it in the archive vid... edited, seen a spelling mistake
  15. the filling material i´ll use is a fireproofing agent on the base of aluminium hydroxide,it hardens the pu up by 2 to 10 shore degrees, giving me the opportunity to get shore grades from 80a to 90a,and it reduces heat buildup in the pad. i´ll also get some red pigment,so the final colour will be like aubergine or so,the pigment is also hardening up by 2 degrees,so there are many mixtures to play with...
  16. get it checked again for fibrocartilage damage, its the most common injury when it comes to wrists, does rotating your hand hurt?
  17. is it water bled?in this case a bit of sanding the piston could be necessary i´d rather sand the piston than the cylinder
  18. 1350mm yeah forgot a 0-lol
  19. i think the length depends on the front setup,with 410mm forks,120 ht,30 stackers and a 120 x 20° stem its 750mm front and 135mm rear hose length for me,with tailwip x 1.5 option
  20. how did that spelling wonder disappear? mod edit?
