  1. I have tried a coke bleed , it worked really well! Until the seals died :$
  2. My hopes , maguras and echos have only squeaked when wet
  3. Just want to add glazing only happens on certain pads , I believe it's on organic compounds that it affects
  4. I'd personally put the water on at the top of the hill personally . Apart from that , it's fine
  5. Make sure the pads and roter are cool before doing this as if they are hot and you put water on them it can "glaze" the pas and decrease performance.
  6. A favorite of mine is to get an old metal water bottle , put in some sort of flammable material put the backs in and set it on fire . For cleaning a disk just put it in boiling water , wipe it with a cloth and if you want a light bit of sanding if you want to and wash both off after .
  7. I spent quite a while there wondering why mine were lighter until I realized I have the lite version on the TryAll :$
  8. Don't get echo Trs they snap very easily , anything from Trialtech or Tryall should do you fine . I run TryAll Rage bars and they are very light and strong
  9. I've had one for about 8 or 9 months now and there are a few issues -Brakes are hit and miss , my front is amazing but the back is really crap and needs bleed every two weeks . Buy some hopes like I did - handlebars , pedals , forks and stem are all rumored to be very snap happy . I have broken two pairs of Echo TR pedals already , they have amazing grip though . - if your a small guy you might find it too long , I'm 5 foot seven and it runs okay for me - tyres are quite bad , not much grip , wear quickly and are pretty heavy , I'd recommend some TryAll stickys . Other than that no issues at all , a really nice frame
  10. I'd personally say get some TryAlls , great bounce , nice thick sidewalls and don't puncture easily
  11. Yeah I realized that just after I orderded it that the Tech Trial would have been better , I'll see if the magurq works or order one if it doesn't but would I need a 180mm rotor after using the adapter?
  12. Hi guys ,well I had the last straw today with my echo TR disk , it just was being a whiney bitch so I decided to order a Hope Tech Evo II brake and I just realized that I don't think I have the correct mount things for it . I run a Echo Lite 2011 Double disk frame , will I need a adapter and if so what one ? I have a magura one off of an old Louise which I'll see if it fits but any advice would be gr eat
  13. Thanks for the help guys , I'll try putting on a mod stem tomorrow and see how that feels . I was thinking maybe that it was just a needed to get adjusted wasn't sure though since I have found every move I have tried easier (ie. gaps , front to backs , sidehop the rear , hooks ect ) I'm ordering some stuff from Tarty tomorrow so I might pick up a stem Bloody mod always seems to break when I want to use it
  14. I have one only problems are - Brakes are awful , leek and not very good performance . Switch to hopes or Magura disk Bars , stem , pedal and forks are quite snap happy . If your quite short the bike may be too long for you , I'm 5 foot seven inches and it's alright for me using TGS style . Apart from that the bike is of very good construction and the frame / spannish bb could very easily be changed into an amazingly good bike
  15. I've heard a few guys say that 2011 hs33s don't like water very much
  16. Just to add , I'm about 5 foot 7 would a mod stem not make it too long ?
  17. The whole bike ? If so I think it was somewhere between 9.8kg and 10.2 kg I think
  18. An Echo Trial 2011 , stock apart from the old TryAll Rage bars . Used to ride a Echo Lite 2011 mod .
  19. Well a month or so ago I switched to riding 24" from mod , before switching I could land just over 5 pallets ( proper sized ones) 90% of the time but since riding 24" I'm finding it much harder . Is there any sort of change in technique ?
  20. I'd juspt like to point out this thread has nothing to do with the title and doesn't even specify what type of jump . Your just asking to get trolled , you see ... "The problem with the internet is that people can randomly make up facts with no proof behind them " Abraham Lincoln
  21. I always seem to go away , think about lines and remember them as smaller than they really are . Also I also tend to think up ways of getting a cool trick with all the cool physics stuff and get on the bike and end up looking like a right idiot when it doesn't work
  22. Mate there is like a hundred threads about this already and there is a pad reviews thread just above . TNN LGMs , TNN Be-greens , Heatsink yellows or Coustalier pads in my experience work the best . Any of those + a Echo TR rim and you are set .
  23. What year of echo was it ? The 2011 feels very different to ride than the old model .
  24. So recently I have been comparing the differences between Heatsink yellows and TNN LGMs to see which is better and as I misplaced one of the pads I decided I'd try a LGM on one side and a heatsink on the other . It works very surprisingly well actually , the bite and hold is really good and gave off a pretty nice sound ( better than just LGMs) . Has anybody else tried this ? I'm considering doing something along the lines of the be-green pad next time I need to refill
