  1. How about using your brain to get that bikes may be not only brand new.
  2. I don't see any reason to confuse. Half link is 100% shit. 3 of my mates snapped it in period from 1 day to 2 weeks. They are fail by design for trials. And for example on my KMC 810 only chainlock snapped after 3 years of riding. And my mate rides some KMC (710 I guess) that 7 years old! It's stupid. but..
  3. One more reason for brakeless to be at a discount
  4. I really-really want to see this bike in action. Because it so outstanding. Gear ratio? Is it still good for trials?
  5. Half-link is deadly dangerous and stupid. I strongly recommend not to use this shit in any style of riding. But how about hundreds of riders (with vertical dropouts) with spoke tensioners? I don't get if I'm too stupid or spoke tensioner has very low power and rideable only in case when chain is sags slightly?
  6. I can't understand this magic. Do I need some specific chain? Some specific gearing? I want my bike to look clean and also I hate if there are too much things that can be broken (hanger + tensioner). Now I have 18-14 with 3/32" KMC K-810 chain. I want to get rideable bike without tensioner or with spoke tensioner, but I broke ~20 spokes with no rideable result..
  7. Now I'm riding stuff up to 11 feet height(scary, but I like to overcome fear). Still without brakes and no problem. Maybe I shoot some video if my mate that rides flatland will help me. The more you fall the less chance to hurt yourself. Also some parkour expirience helps alot.
  8. Why do you put public recognition(comps, rules, all official, tight cycling wear, blah blah blah) like something that matters? Don't you forget how usual people react on trials riders? So you react like them. I don't need public recognition to do something, I don't care about trivia like this. The only one thing matters is that I like what I do. So you would sell your brakes and buy some new pair of shoes if someone will organize brakeless comp? It shows that you are not independent if you do anything like the others because others do like that.
  9. Yeah, I could say "B R A K E L EE Z Z suxx!!111one" after trying to do some rear wheel hops at the first time and set my brakes back, telling everyone how brakeless is suxx/bad/impossible/idiotic/etc. Honestly first feelings after my 1st brakelss ride was FRUSTRATION(omgomg how Flipp can do this it's so difficult). But I beated it and now I can do much more than RWHops.
  10. Brakaless comps must be brakeless for all, because comps mean the same conditions for all. Your argument is invalid.
  11. >debate is kinda pointless because people ride with what they feel comfortable with No it's not. 90+% of riders even not tried brakeless(getting brakes off for 1 day doesnt count, few months with learning at least something gives you right to say "yeah, I tried brakeless and I like more to ride with brakes"). Saying brakeless is dangerous is so stupid. First 3 months riding brakeless I have absolutely NO falls, the progress was slow, but my riding was brakeless and 99% safe. Anyway I don't see something so BAD in falling off. Trials is extreme sports. It's not riding in park on citybike.
  12. Watch some videos to understand what you like/want. Buy some good bike (~1200 GBP brand new/~700+ GBP used). Ride. In case of wrong choice - switch bike. For example - I liked street-trials videos alot, but when 1'st time I saw IRL some skilled pure trials rider I was so impressed and bought pure trials bike. It was the wrong choice and then I switched to street-trials.
  13. >stoppie Use the shoes, luke. Also there are similar thing but much cooler - nose manual. >hopping on front wheel http://www.pinkbike.com/video/148783/ - 2:16 Also up to fronts can be done absolutely without brakes/with your shoe.
  14. Sean Watson started to ride brakeless 'because he couldn't afford brakes. And it seems that you couldn't afford new shoes... I ride brakeless because for me riding with brakes is: -too easy -you think less of how to perform some line with brakes, also somehow brakeless riding (imo) forces you to be more creative -just boring and not interesting And generally - I don't understand what brakes is need for(I can buy set of any brakes). Without any brakes - the bottelneck of my creativity/abilities is not the fact I don't have brakes. The bottelneck is my imagination that needs some overclock. I don't see nary limitations in brakeless riding, only opportunities. And almost every ride I find out some way to do some comlicated line without brakes, that previously I thought was impossible. So all stuff about "BLAHBLAH IT LIMITS YOU" is stupid. Also I started to ride trials only 1 year 8 months ago, found brakeWITH riding boring and selled my brakes a year ago. Also brakaless isn't dangerous. Danger born when you try to do something close to your limits(physical condition/skills). (extra bonus) i don't have to meditate about what pads to choose/how to perform grinding better/leaking/broken levers/ripped hose and any kind of problems. I get my bike and go for a ride. And that's just a bonus, not the reason (lol it would be stupid reason to ride brakeless). PS. I so much like how brakeless bikes looks.
  15. >you can do more But somehow many of riders with brakes do only taps, gaps and...
  16. You can even ride TGS without brakes. But if in TGS if you really-really like some moves that can't be done without brakes, why almost every single street-trials(that alot closer to mtb:dirt/street and bmx) bike equipped with brakes? And yet you can do almost all types of moves without brakes, so why there are only 1% of brakeless riders? It's really fun and challenging, and not so hard to learn. Plus this feel of absolute control of your bike, crazy balance and brilliant coordination. Anyone can ride brakeless and stay alive(it's no more dangerous than trials with brakes). Some cool riders already proved that.
  17. Who cares about... This video is AWESOME.
  18. Guys, you still need brakes?
  19. Greatest Spanish brakeless rider ever! :wink2: Brakeless F.T.W.! Flipp, your level is incredible and you showed'em that brakaless trials isnt' just possible - it's cool and fun.
  20. 6 months? oh my god this is madness.
  21. Hi there! I have few questions about Marino. How much will it cost to build some 1 custom street-trial frame and fork with worldwide shipping now? And how long to wait? I miss my brown Marino.. swapped she for inspired only because Marino was curve..
