  1. The faster you will degrease it after buying the lesser damage it will do to itself.
  2. So the funny thing is 45mm of stackers witn 70x35mm IS NOT FREEEAKING ENOUGH for me! I need at least 55-60mm. Or 60-65 with hope 70x25 stem. Why why why why. Why Inspired doesn't do some 250mm steerer tube that will be OK for anyone.
  3. Because MAYBE Echo rotor are so shitty than ride with it similar to ride brakeless. I don't know anything about rotors and stuff. My expirience with disc brakes limited by some awesome BB5 180 on 24 with original cleansweep rotor. And there are reasons to doubt: 1) Many people on TF don't like hope brakes. 2) ECHO is 100% chineese company.
  4. The funny thing that 27(hope) or 22(echo) pounds is not a big difference. Also Hope Trial Zone looks pretty weak and light, so I'm afraid that I destroy it very fast.
  5. High price don't mean high quality.
  6. In our shop there are no Avid Cleansweep rotors, only ECHO 180 and Hope Trial Zone 180 - what would be better? Or Cleansweep is the best for bb7 on front?
  7. Well, I ride now with uncutted Element fork that allows me to set: 1) 40mm spacers + onza 100x30 (27mm more reach and 14mm higher than second setup) 2) 45mm spacers + TT 70x35 TT High Rise bars. I like short stem, but feel that I need my bars higher. My heigh is just under 6ft. Bars height of 2nd setup feels great, but isn't it TOO HIGH? How do I know my bars is too high?
  8. >Brakeless = Greater chance of getting hurt. No. Dullness = Greater chance of getting hurt.
  9. >because you ride trials on that bike? I rode CRAZY SHIT(why crazy shit? because this bike is only for careful city riding it costs only 220 pounds brand new) on that bike. And only one thing snapped - rear axle. My first 1m drop was done on that bike, my first 70cm faildrop (I fell on fork with all my weight and under really bad angle). Also some miniDH and trials stuff of course! Alot of BHs, zap-taps, little drops (70cm and lower). And all that when I was n00b and till now, 2+ years with alot of falls and ONLY REAR AXLE SNAPPED! Here it is:
  10. >this is TRIALS Bad argument. My cheap chineeseshit XC is stronger than some echo parts. You can't say THIS IS TRIALS LOADS OF STRESS BLAHBLAHBLHA because different riders rides differently. And when you don't do 5m drops (68cm is highest drop I done with that echo urban fork) and your brand new fork dies in 1 month this is UNACCEPTABLE. The problem exists and this is confirmed by many Russian riders too. (also how ironic - echo urban fork can not stand urban riding)
  11. Absolutely agree. Gaylight suxx. Also this isn't only because of weightwinnie fashion. The quality of components leaves much to be desired. When I was completely n00b I killed: 2 forks (brand new echo urban 2012 lived just over a month of smooth tech riding) 2 freewheels 1 rim brake (echo tr) was absolutely dead also. even new o-rings did not help. Quality and technology is pretty poor when price is pretty high.
  12. I'm setting up vees to my Element and don't know what to choose: 1) Grinded rim (trialtech) + some hard pads (TNN?) or 2) Smooth rim + smooth pads (inspired fat) And also I'm very interested in that build http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/177948-retired-element/?hl=retired Why Nick uses Flexy Noodles? And isn't element frame hard enough to not use booster? I have some expirience of using vees in trials on my because 24, it was avid sd7 + sd7 lever + inspired slim pads + echo tr rim with dead(erased) grind, hard noodle and some noname cables. So the result was pretty shitty and brake felt pretty bad plus there was almost no bite, and not so good hold. *There are almost no way for me to get good set of cables (odyssey or something linear) so maybe just to set up maggie with evo clamps?
  13. What you don't like in your stem? Need some more reach or what? For me choosing stem was pretty troublesome deal. And thats between 70x35 and 100x30 that differ alot.
  14. I just trying to find out whats wrong with me and why I'm not enjoying riding as before. This make me sad. Will try brakes for a start. Then maybe some slopestyle bike to ride trialsy on like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVxjlO7-05M There was some discuss about brakeless but not concretely about limitations. Watching videos doesn't helps alot. Maybe it time to get more sociable and find some people in my city to try DHFR/slopestyle/dirt riding.

  16. Hi there! I want to ask why some of us don't like brakeless and how you think what limitations it puts on your riding?
  17. Is this uncut skye fork or it's fourplay?
  18. obviously x35 is pretty higher with less reach. If you want your bars higher - get x35 x35 will be 9mm higher with 10mm less reach - it's pretty significant difference
  19. I just like to earn and spend money. I have many interests, and riding was the greatest passion for me. So maybe someone experienced similar feelings and found a way out of this unpleasant situation.
  20. >Find someone else to ride with. This is impossible, because there are only 2 of us left in whole city. And spots/obstacles for pure TGS with brakes and brakeless street-trials are pretty different.
  21. I started to ride trials (TGS) less than 2 years ago 20.09.11. Gone brakeless 13.05.12. Brakeless street-trials 10.09.12. And now I tired of riding. Sounds strange, especially therefore I ride ~3 times/week. One of the reasons I think is meager conditions for trials in our city, not so big variety of obstacles as in UK and disgusting climate. But now is summertime, weather is great (~1 dull day on 15 sunny days) and I have more than enough spare time. But in spite of it I ride pretty rare and don't have this "IWANTTORIIIIDERIDERIDE" feeling like it was before. Also maybe it's because I ride alone. Well, there are more and more days I don't particularly want to ride. And if I force myself to ride - I won't enjoy it, which generally makes me feel worse about riding. Maybe I choosed wrong bike or it's because riding alone is so boring? Don't know what to do with it.
