  1. Echo SL 2014 Disc only On tarty it says 180mm IS Mount + No Adapter....200mm IS Mount + 20mm adapter or + 20mm mount frame
  2. Sweet cheers man so I won't need an adapter for it to fit? The one that comes with the brake will fit fine?
  3. Yeah haha I had the PRO during that time I'm guessing, and my god I never knew at the time you had to wear in your freewheel or whatever it was and it just skipped almost instantly after I bought it :/ and snapped the crappy chain tensioners haha and the Cable Disc brakes were utterly shocking
  4. ah well if I was you I'd have gone for CNC backings but if your fine with your Heatsink yellows then I'd leave it as it is HAPPY DAYS
  5. Just on tarty and wanting to get the Hope Trial Zone Team Edition and it says only compatible with 180mm rotar and IS Mount forks, does IS mean industry standard? Or is it some special type of disc mount? Cheers Alex
  6. I couldn't agree more with what your saying, Danny Mac got away with it cause he adapted street and trials in one line... All the Helicopter spins and tail whip kinda stuff should be (as you stated) left at the skatepark... It may be very skilful but you didn't see motor trials doing that kinda stuff, I suppose it's bringing new stuff into place but at the same time it's turning trials into 3 categories; Street, Natural and BMXing kinda trials haha
  7. Yeah cause surely they'll have quality checks and spot checks before dispatch? Like on the Hope Factory tour they had a box of scrap which looked almost perfect but there must have been the slightest issue. Then again were talking Hope, but I, sure Trialtech would do the same? And so should all major bike manufacturing companies, we certainly do where I work
  8. I often think that the wider the bars, the better control you have on your back wheel as it helps with manoeuvring the bike
  9. Take it to a paint shop and ask if they can sandblast it... I did it with one of mine and it looks crap but you can respray easier
  10. Hmm all cousts come with CNC aluminium backings don't they? But yeah CNC backings make a hell of a nicer fit but you have to get them dead square otherwise like in your case, they will be shiteee haha
  11. Was that the one with the v brakes??
  12. Hmm that's 6mm or so spacing :// only thing I could advise would be to look at some new bars that are thicker in the centre, what bars you got may I ask?
  13. Yeah I started at age of 10 stopped when I was 14 then on and off till I was 17 and haven't rode a bike properly apart from messing around on mates up till now at 19 things have changed haha, when I was like 14/15 everyone was doing it, there was me Ben Lazenby who lived practically next door to me and Ross Clayton, we always used to ride together whenever we could, but then we all stopped and Ben just turned into a machine haha, but now Ross and Carthy and Bancroft all ride together back in Leeds and stuff, so now am in France all alone haha...until I get my GU delivered I'll be practising up here and coming over to England every month or so to ride with some old pals
  14. the Yeah well the GU frame that I want doesn't have a booster built in but I guess if I feel like it's weakening the brakes I could always bang one on if need be, but with the coust pads and a medium sharp ground rim I should be fine
  15. How much travel is on the front of that fecker?? 7/8"?
  16. I had a bit of an accident on one of them when I was like 5 haha oh dear, chased these sheep down a road and went straight into the back of a tractor :// no brakes on the damn thing and the hill was like steep as hell
  17. How tall are you? Cause like I've ridden 20" bikes that feel comfortable and I've ridden 26" bikes that feel small, and I'm like 6ft 4 and I find it hard to get a tall setup for my type of build..hence why I'm going for the taller stem, cause I can't be arsed with damaging my back any more than it already is haha
  18. Putting tar on a ground rim seems like a waste of tar if that's what he did, but Heatsink yellows are good but compared to French Cousts they're nothing on a ground rim, his set up must have been miles off from the rim surely.. My yellows used to slip allot but the brake clamp kept pushing my brake out every time, so I got some more and wow the breaks were immense haha can't wait to trial out these Cousts
  19. I miss training in Leeds.. Always used to go to roundabout and play house, looking very good upto front man
  20. Hmm cousts are supposed to be like best pads going... Maybe the setup you had for your rim brakes wasn't close enough to the rim, may need a wider rim like 32mm+
  21. Personally I think it would be your rims perhaps... I've heard that some rims force the tyre out of the rim
  22. Yeah definitely going for a 165/175mm x 30 stem, the bigger the feel the better for me to be honest
  23. I'm pretty sure running cousts on a ground rim would stop you dead on, so I've heard anyway
  24. Wanna know what all your first bikes were and what age you all started, mines pretty damn embarrassing, an onza t bird 03 grey frame and tree green forks ect started when I was like 10 oh the good old days, all my mates were on t pros, one of which had a t pro but the chrome edition with the triangle shaped frame and lime green brakes haha
  25. All the 20"/19" trials bikes now a days are decent starter bikes, I started when I was like 10 on a t bird and I loved it, but as I got to like 6ft I started looking for a bigger setup e.g higher stem and different style bars.. When I started it was always flat bars with v brakes/rim brakes and that was okay till I started bigger things and the bike just couldn't keep up..
