    New Video

I've been meaning to download this video for ages and now I have got round to doing it I can say that I was not disappointed (Y) Top vid :D That made be laugh too :deej: bet he thought he was cool (Y)
  3. mine felt rattly and lose a while back and it turned out to be that the cones were lose on my rear king. So check this as it will fuk the hub if you ride with them lose
  4. yer any news on the bike? My brother had a similar experience today where some kids tried to go off with his bike. luckily they didn't get it as he got away but he is only 13 and it seems harsh that older bigger kids are going around picking on smaller younger ones  . Any my bike has the distinctive feature of having "if you are reading this you are a thieving c**t" written on the inner tube in the front wheel (Y) so thats an amusing way of proving to the police that the bike belongs to me. Or at least it would confuse the twock that nicked it lol
  5. sweet (Y) Any vids on the way of this ride?
  6. Top vid that (Y) Porthcawl looks so good for riding too :D
  7. Yer getting new pads is my last resort. Just that my theory is that the whole koxx team and people like fletch have koxx bloxx and koxx rim and their brakes seem to be amazing. Anyway i've done some searches and i'm off to buy a stone disk thingy as this seams to be what people recommend over a metal grinding disk :-
  8. Ok il search ad stop being lazy (Y) I've heard rumors that theres vids on it and stuff too :S What do these grinds look like do the marks cross over or all go in one direction like //////////////////// or something?
  9. How do you do a grind like that then: technique what disk etc please enlighten me (Y)

    New Video

That was a sweet vid :S Bike looks minted as well. I would love one of those frames but do they dent as easy as XTP's ? Also do you run any tar on your rim as I have koxx browns on a Koxx rim and mine dont lock at all and just hiss (Y) anyway Sweet vid and keep up the good work ;)
  11. Prob about £100-150 due to the brake mount been helicoiled Why are you selling it?
  12. I think il try some muc off at work tonight to see if that makes any difference. But I don't really want to put any thing on my rim other then a grind so it works consistently. I'm not been impatient i've had this setup for about 6months and it has never worked since i got it (Y) I just feel that I could ride so much better if I had a brake that i knew would lock. e.g having the confidence to push the bike out in front when gapping and tucking up and leaning back when upping. All of which I am too scared to do as I am always waiting to jump off when the brakes gunna slip :S
  13. The red pads are pretty new. Also they now deffinatly hit square as the new mega harsh grind has worn them perfectly to the shape of the rim :"> although do you think that it could be that the grind is too harsh? as lots of pad dust seems to be getting into the grind :) Also the bleed is good as the pads move instantly and the lever feels nice so all the power is getting to the pads but they just don't seem to grip and lock (N) If I do end up getting new pads what work best on the koxx rim? But i'm sure koxx pads on a koxx rim should work (N) if so what the hell are the likes of Vince etc doing to make them work
  14. Right i've done some searches etc and tried a few things suggested but still cant find a solution to my problem (N) I currently run a koxx rim with brown or red koxx bloxx (have both) and a maggie bled with water. What ever pads I use the brake just fails to have any look or bite and just makes a silly swoosh/hissing noise (N) The pads hit absolutely square to the rim and has no flex so i cant see the problem. Also I put a new grind on today and it is mega sharp because after a quick spin round the garden the koxx pads were covered in pad dust (i will sand down the grind a little I think otherwise i will have no pad at all lol) So what can I do to get decent performance from my brake? the Koxx team must run this set up so what is their secret  Cheers Gavin :)
  15. not much chance of seeing you but il look out anyway :turned:
  16. Im not actually riding it though just doing the mechanics thingy I want to ride it though. I may do it next year but i need to get a bike to do it on as i dont think a single speed koxx lb 1065 is the way forward :S But yer if your riding it or been a mech let me know and il look out for you
  17. me and tom are going up to brighton i think (havent recived full details yet) to be roadside mechanics for the ride. It sounds like its going to be quite good as we are going up the night before and staying over night with around 45 other bike hut peeps before working the next day. Just wondering really whether anybody else on this forum was going on it as i might see you there
  18. U like doing that dont you :- when ever you appear at work i can garentee that you want to borrow/use something :S BTW if you took the wheel to the shop fully built and with good spokes and nipples they should only have to true/unbuild the wheel. If it hasnt been done yet id recomend trying elsewhere (Y)
  19. Please tell me what it is i could have so much fun :S BTW good job on getting the job i hope you like it (Y)

    New Frame

Looks plush (Y) Whats the geometry and price on those bad boys sorry if i am been lazy :"> Cheers Gavin :S
  21. Yer forgot about that lol The lightning paint job seems to be more resistant. But respraying is not hard to do so its not really an issue (Y)
  22. They're mega popular so that must say something (Y) ive rode a few and they have all rode mega nice. If I was to buy anther frame i would strongly be cosidering one. I have also never heard of one breaking so they must be pritty strong
  23. Good luck hope you get it (Y) If you do you will have to let me know what store you are at so i can phone you as this is my new favorite thing to do when i have nothing to do ;)"
  24. Me and fred experimented with his front V (avid SD5 arms and lever i think (Y) ) we put on some Fibrex XTR cartridge pads with the red insert and gave his mavic rim a light grind. The lock and power of the brake was actually amazing although the modulation was some what lacking ;) Not to sure weather he is still using this setup or not but if he sees this post im sure he will reply cheers Gavin
